Impatience how was the repeat hCG test? thinking of you and hoping to hear good news.

Just picked up a load of nice summery clothes in Primark, long tops a couple of sizes bigger. And a few non-wired bras (so much cheaper and nicer colours than M&S!)
Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine x

impatienceisavirtue · 29/03/2014 18:53

Thank you both - and it's lovely you thought of me... I'mvery plpleased to say that I've gone from 995 to 1955 so it's looking like all is ok Grin just waiting for consultant on the ward to read the results as they will apparently call me this evening with plan once they have - the nurse told me the levels though and it's very good news!!

impatienceisavirtue · 29/03/2014 18:54

(and I'm five weeks today)

MundayCakes85 · 29/03/2014 19:42

Yay impatience, good news they're doubling. Hope you can enjoy the rest of your weekend now x

sazzlehopes · 30/03/2014 08:19

Impatience so pleased your numbers look good, hoping you have a more easy ride from now on!
Barmy, ooh how nice to be able to tell both they are expecting their first grandchild! And yes you defo need help if you're feeling rough!

barmybunting · 30/03/2014 10:07

That's brilliant to hear about your numbers impatience! Did they say anymore when they phoned last night?

Thanks sazzle, it was lovely to be able to tell my parents yesterday! My Dad's reaction was very funny, he got confused and thought I'd said I was seven months instead of seven weeks, and stared at my stomach, demanding to know where it was Smile ! I couldn't stop laughing to explain for at least five minutes.

impatienceisavirtue · 30/03/2014 10:30

barmy that is very sweet, bless him!

Thanks ladies - feel much better now! They rang back after the consultant had read the results and I'm having a scan on Tuesday - just to double check everything is where it should be. I'm quite excited about that!

My boss knows I'm pregnant now as I was off work Thursday and Friday - bit worried about how Monday is going to go on that score

PunkyPod · 31/03/2014 09:23

Hi Penis Dragon incubators! I got my BFP last week Grin due some time between 30/11-2/12. I'm rumbling along on the December AN thread too but it's lovely to find some of the original green sheet dragon breeders Wink

Sorry you have found December AN thread such an unfriendly place Emily. It's sad you have felt that way.

Impatience, I hope you don't have any more scary times now, we must have a very similar DD. I think I'm 5+1 based on lmp.

Barmy, we were originally in the November thread, think we started TTC at the same time. Lovely that you have seen a strong heart beat.

Where abouts is everyone based? I'm SE London Smile

GingerRodgers · 31/03/2014 10:51

Morning, can I join? Have been on the buses with a few of you but I've namechanged Blush
Due sept but not really getting on with that bus.

sazzlehopes · 31/03/2014 12:36

Welcome punky and ginger! Oooh ginger a name change hey - i'm trying to work out what you were before!!
I'm in sussex - near the sea!

GingerRodgers · 31/03/2014 16:22

Grin Sazzle! I got on the august bus and got off early December after driving myself mad symptom spotting! Got my Bfp that month so maybe it was the relaxing that did it?!

Sound like a total stalker but it's so good to see some familiar names here, especially after all the encouragement you gave me. Just a shame we all can't be here.

barmybunting · 31/03/2014 21:30

Impatience how did work go today?

punky and ginger congratulations!! Lovely to see you both here Smile .

punky I think we did start ttc around the same time. It's lovely to see familiar faces here!

I'm in Lincolnshire. Will be here until Dec when we move again, so I hope baby doesn't decide to arrive too late! I'd really like to go home to Scotland to have baby but that might be tricky for poor DH.

PolytheneGirl · 09/04/2014 20:26

Hi ladies! I just got my bfp! Very excited to join you all on the penis dragon incubator thread! I'm a bit nervous! early days

How are you all? I need to catch up!

sazzlehopes · 09/04/2014 20:54

Welcome Poly! So great to have you over here. It is a little quiet at times, but so much better that way than crap waffle about nothing! Enjoy the feeling of knowing your secret - it is so exciting the first few days!
I think we are all ok...I'm 16 weeks on Saturday and it is speeding by now I've reached the 12 week mark!

PolytheneGirl · 09/04/2014 21:12

Hi Sazzle 16 wks wow! I've just been reading back. I'm so jealous of all the scans and blood tests sounds odd I know. I'm feeling incredibly nervous right now, still got af type cramps. Just keep pinching myself and chanting "it's all normal" in my head! Do I need to add my EDD on here? If so:-

PolytheneGirl EDD. 18/12/14

htbftm · 09/04/2014 21:38

Its so lovely to see all the lovely news from some familiar names off the buses, and thx for clarifying the penis dragons! :-) I didn't get it, but thought it sounded a bit of fun, so I was prepared to go along with it anyway! :-) Stats:
HTBFTM (Hoping to be fourth time mum) - Edd 14/12/14 Yay!!!!!!!!! :-)

alita7 · 09/04/2014 21:53

Hi just popping my head in, I didn't join MN until I was already pregnant so didn't see you all on the ttc threads but thought I'd have a nosy :) EmilyI'm the same as you, first child, mum's first grandchild and I'm due the 6th November and my mums birthday is 13 days later :)

Littlebear81 · 09/04/2014 21:56

Leaping over to join you girls!

Exciting day on the last thread for Poly and I. After three BFPs today I'm starting to get exciting. Some definite pom pom shaking going on here! Grin

chillychicken · 10/04/2014 08:06

Ooh hello! I was on the March bus (name change) and got my BFP on April 1st so wasn't on the April bus for very long!

I'm 5 weeks today, EDD 11th December.

Symptoms wise, nausea is really beginning to kick in now. No sickness yet though. Boobs are so sore and I've had a lot of cramps, yesterdays were quite sharp and worrying

Haven't seen the GP as with my surgery it's straight to midwife. No midwife appointment yet but I'm to expect it around 8-9 weeks so in 3-4 weeks time. Eek! That actually sounds quite soon! Grin

I have one slight worry. I work with chemicals. Toulene to be precise. It can potentially harm the unborn baby. We have halved the use of toulene here over the last 6 months and I actually haven't directly worked with it for 2-3 months now, but it's used in the building I work in on a daily basis. I've read the guidance on it and it can cause premature birth, stillborn, craniofacial abnormalities as well as cardiac, limb, renal and central nervous system problems. We ventilate the building well and there are 2 access doors between me and the area the toulene is used but it does still hold a risk. I'm actually bloody terrified now. Further on through the pregnancy, I will be able to work from home on days of high toulene use. I'm just worried about these early stages. Should I mention this to the midwife?

chillychicken · 10/04/2014 08:19

Toluene not toulene, FFS! I'm always doing that!

barmybunting · 10/04/2014 09:21

Hi poly, little, htbftm and chilly! Congratulations to all of you. How exciting to see little Christmas babies due, that will be such special time of year!

Have you told family yet?

chilly I would probably tell work now just for reassurance if I were you. I can understand your concern. Has anyone else worked there during pregnancy? What did they do?

I'm 8 and 1/2 weeks at the moment, 12 week scan is booked on 7th May. It's DH's 30th birthday of all days so I am a tad nervous but hopefully all will be well!

Those of you having cramps, apparently they are very normal. I had them until last week when they finally calmed down but the Dr said a lot of people get them when he asked if I had any questions.

chillychicken · 10/04/2014 09:41

Hi barmy!

No we've not told anyone yet. I don't intend to until 12 weeks either Smile

barmy it's my own business. I work with my husband. Sorry I probably should have said that! I'm the only female here so no previous experience. I've read more about it and deliberate inhalation obviously carries more risk but the occupational effects are there but the HPA say that studies should be interpreted cautiously as there could be potential for bias and multiple chemical exposure. We're doing everything we can, short of me staying off work, so I'm hoping it'll be enough. I will speak to midwife though. I think I'm especially worried as now I'm 5 weeks, I know lots of development takes place this week and next. I don't know when I'll get a chance to speak to the midwife as I've not heard from her yet. I wish I could find information on how many milligrams per metre cubed were a problem. I can find the info on lab rats but not humans! Gah!

PolytheneGirl · 10/04/2014 09:53

Morning all

Hi chilli and barmy Grin so happy to see you both here!

I'm getting the VIP treatment this morning on what we're calling pregnancy day 1 DH has treated me to a lie-in and breakfast in bed! I'm hoping this isn't a one off!

I'm completely paranoid! Cramps are scaring me I know, I know and had a dream that AF got me!

Chilli I think I'd try to work from home as much as possible. You probably won't find any data on the effects on human gestation as they simply will not test anything on pg ladies! I have the same thing with a medical treatment I have, it has never been done and they're not prepared to risk it.

I hope you are all feeling good today Smile

PolytheneGirl · 10/04/2014 09:55

P.s. No, we're not telling ANYONE! I have no idea how I'm going to hide it from my Mom! I'm 30, not 13 honest

barmybunting · 10/04/2014 10:16

Sorry chilly I misunderstood that one Smile . As you say, it is probably very hard to find any data on it regarding humans. As poly suggests, working from home for a couple of days a week if possible might be a plan. Would the gp give you the midwife's number if you phoned up? My gp gave me the midwife's number although my booking in appointment is only next week.

You are both doing well to stick it out to 12 weeks to tell anyone Smile . We haven't managed that at all and have told both sets of parents and our closest friends. Your Mom will be delighted poly. I know what you mean about telling them, I was rather embarrassed to admit to DH's parents and mine that we actually dtd!

poly your DH sounds brilliant, tell him to keep it up Smile .
