Aw fancy thats lovely! Was it a private scan?

lindamagoo · 16/05/2014 19:10

Aw fancy that's great huni Smile

fancyacupoftea · 16/05/2014 19:18

Yeah private scan - was £70 in the end. They recommended a follow-up for £30 in a couple of weeks as it was only 7mm but they didn't seem concerned and recommending that is just protocol. Wondering whether to do it just for fun.

toots123 · 16/05/2014 19:22

Thats good!! I plan to convince dh over the next 2 months that we should get a private scan!

MademoiselleG · 16/05/2014 19:31

Definitely do it just for fun Grin! Great news though, hurray! I was all worried about not hearing from you and kept checking my phone. Phew! And how rubbish that we've both lost a whole week, HA! Did you get a little picture?

fancyacupoftea · 16/05/2014 19:34

Yeah, it's not clear at all though unfortunately! I can point to the baby but on the scan itself I saw the proper shape of it and the little heart beating out was amazing. Sorry to worry you!!

Treaclepie19 · 16/05/2014 22:32

That's great news fancy :)

Just got back from the birthday meal. Although I enjoyed it I've been thinking a lot about baby and not feeling very positive. Even if they've pushed me back to 6 weeks I should still see an embryo.
Sorry, I'll stop now. I keep bringing you all down!

Meal was nice :) lovely to see everyone.

PolytheneGirl · 16/05/2014 22:34

Wow! It looks like a good news day Grin

Congrats on the BFP Toots

Really pleased about your scan Fancy p.s. I don't really think I have a brummie accent Confused

Welcome home English, I hope you're not shifting heavy boxes!

PolytheneGirl · 16/05/2014 22:39

Sorry x post Treacle. I hope you're ok. My mom always says "there's no point worrying about things you can't do anything about", to be honest it doesn't stop you worrying but it is right. I hope you can get your mind off it and you get a more positive result at your next scan. And never worry about moaning on here. That's that we're all here for Thanks

MademoiselleG · 16/05/2014 22:48

Agree with Poly, Treacle, although it is indeed easier said than done...

Fancy our picture looks quite rubbish too! A bean shaped sac with a vague bubble in it. Looking forward to the 12 week scan now!

PIL came for dinner and we told them the news; they are over the moon. It will be their 6th grandchild but their reaction and joy is still as vivid as for their first!

MademoiselleG · 16/05/2014 22:49

And welcome Toots! Congratulations!

Treaclepie19 · 16/05/2014 23:07

You're right Poly, my friend who is 26 weeks pregnant was out and my sister and mom were so excited to talk to her. Hit me quite hard as mom wasn't even excited when I told her.

Anyway, that's great mademoiselle :)
Be lovely to see some of your scans ladies :)

Tilly28 · 17/05/2014 06:11

Morning all! So pleased to hear your early scans went well fancy and mademoiselle I'm off for mine this morning, can't wait (but also nervous as want to know all is ok)

treacle I think you just have to wait and see, yours could just be a slow grower at first! Try not to worry.

I thought id feel more pregnant by now but other than the bloating (which literally is so bad I can get in my work trousers), occasional sore nipple and needing to eat lots I feel ok! (Prob tempting fate now and will start throwing up later!)

MrsGingerbread · 17/05/2014 06:15

Hello ladies,

I am 4+5 today. CB digi only says 1-2 and I don't have any symptoms. Do you think I should be concerned?

Any idea when I might start to feel pregnant? I have to keep looking at a photo of a frer to make sure I haven't dreamt it!

Yes please, would love to see some little scan pictures!

toots123 · 17/05/2014 06:48

Hi MrsG!
dont think you have much to worry about with the no symptoms, in a few weeks you'll be glad you didnt have any to start with. Im 4+3 and feeling a bit sick and I feel a bit stupid as I know how early it is lol

the cb digis give you the weeks since conception so sounds about right. We are going to do a cb digi next week to see what it says as only used frers so far x

EnglishGirlAbroad · 17/05/2014 07:13

MrsG, do not trust the digi! They are notoriously inaccurate. There is such a huge scope for normal hcg levels at each stage of pregnancy and the digis apparently don't have such a huge range for each marker. I know it's worrying, I'm too scared to do another. If you're worried go and see your gp. I wouldn't worry too much about symptoms though. I think it's still quite early. ((Hugs))

MrsGingerbread · 17/05/2014 07:30

Thank you. :)

barmybunting · 17/05/2014 08:53

Congratulations Toots!! Smile

What does everyone have planned for the next few days of sunshine?

I have woken up today feeling normal for the first time over a weekend in about 9 weeks, no horrible nausea!! I am so relieved. Off to try to find some maternity trousers in celebration!

fancyacupoftea · 17/05/2014 09:06

Morning!! Tilly your symptoms read exactly like mine, although I'm definitely getting tired in the evenings too.

Poly you came out with a couple of brummie-isms in one post so now in my head you're very brummie. And I'd seen you'd put Birmingham on the stats so I can't help myself! Don't worry though - it reminds me of home. My brummie accent only comes out when I'm shouting at kids these days.

When I can be bothered to get out of bed I'll take a pic of the scan. Really not much to see though!

fancyacupoftea · 17/05/2014 09:09

Oh and good luck with your scan today Tilly!!

Treaclepie19 · 17/05/2014 09:37

Good luck Tilly :)

Think it's goodbye from me. Woke up this morning to loads of red blood. Rang nhs and they're sending an ambulance for me.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 17/05/2014 09:44

Good luck Tilly!!

I'm so sorry Treacle, be been there and it's heartbreaking. Sending you lots of love. I hope DH is with you to take care of you. ((Hugs))

MrsGingerbread · 17/05/2014 09:51

Big hugs treacle thinking of you. x

fancyacupoftea · 17/05/2014 09:55

So sorry Treacle. Thinking of you xx

barmybunting · 17/05/2014 10:28

Oh Treacle, I am so sorry! Sending you a huge hug.
