Morning all! I've been lurking for aaaaages. I didn't want to post until I had my 12week scan incase I jinxed myself (i know...silly) and even now I feel a little paranoid - but hey. I'd like to get more involved and chat with you all more! I'm happy to report that the scan (last week @ 13 weeks) went really well - little baby was sucking it's thumb and kicking away like crazy!
I'm fairly symptomless these days apart from the dreaded consitpation (sorry!) and still feeling quite tired. I've noticed my back hurting quite a lot, the last few days - is it too early to be complaining of backpain?:-)
I hope everyone else is doing really well, and coming to the end of sickness! Does anyone else feel a bit weird now that symptoms are lessening - I feel like I need more proof that there's a baby in there!:-)

Lottiedoubtie · 05/03/2014 12:05

Thanks everyone. Dose one didnt really do anything except make me more drowsy than usual in the evening last night.

I took anther before I went to sleep and one more this morning and I think I feel marginally better although I have slept all morning since taking it! Still, don't feel sick when I'm asleep!

Hope the improvement means I can get to and from my scan without any vomiting, that would be a major achievement for today, will check in later with (I hope) some happy scan news.

Welcome hereshoping

rockin20s · 05/03/2014 13:02

Had my second midwife appointment this morning, all went well
she tried to here the heartbeat with a doppler but it didnt pick it up. her stronger doppler is away for repair so was only using her spare.
we did hear some movement sounded like the little bean kicked the doppler! very proud mamma!! LOL

no weight gain since the last visit a month ago so i went crazy on the carbs this morning guilt free.

just counting down to the scan on monday now!!

whiteblossom · 05/03/2014 16:03

hang in there lottie Flowers

rockin, glad all is well. I would love to hear the heartbeat!

Are we all on asos delivery watch Grin

Lottiedoubtie · 05/03/2014 16:35

Grin scan went well, baby looked happy and was moving and jumping around! Got there and back with no embarrassment, so feeling quite positive this afternoon!

EDD now 12th September Smile

whiteblossom · 05/03/2014 16:44

yay great news lottie x

rockin20s · 05/03/2014 16:52

lottie thats great news!
glad you are feeling more positive!

Fairypants · 05/03/2014 17:14

Yay Lottie, that sounds great.
Enjoy your carbs rockin. I've been having a carb fest anyway so dread to think what my weight is now.
Welcome here's hoping.
Not a lot going on here. I'm struggling to find clothes that are loose enough not to give me away at work. We have a big internal meeting next weds lunchtime so I'm planning on telling everyone then if the scan in the morning goes well but my tummy is getting rather largeBlush
I thought I felt kicking on Sunday eve but haven't felt anything since so it could be my imagination. I was at the local homebirth group listening to a birth story (and cooing over a 2week old) so was def on my mindGrin

cookielove · 05/03/2014 17:40

So glad to hear the positive scan news, i have some great news and some really crap news.

Crap news is our vendor has just pulled out and we were about to sign contracts, she has decided she wants more money, money we are not willing to spend, and we are all annoyed and wondering what to do!!

Good news i managed to move my booking in from Friday 14th march when i will be 12+1 to tomorrow when i will be 11 weeks so hopefully will get a scan earlier yay!!

Oh and i get two blood test tomorrow Grin

lucidlady · 05/03/2014 18:25

Welcome hereshoping and congrats lottie!

rockin that sounds great! How many weeks are you now?

cookie that's awful. What do you think you'll do?

I'm currently on my way home from a training course and wondering if it is really piggish to have a burger for the 3rd night in a row?! In my defence the first two were home made but this one will likely be a yummy scrummy Big Mac!

cookielove · 05/03/2014 18:37

lucid i've managed to sort out some viewings for the weekend so hopefully we will be able to find something else, will hopefully be able to stay in our current flat as they haven't found anyone to cover the lease.

I just can't believe someone would pull out this close to completion and ask for more money Shock

God i love big mac's

Gonna pick up DH in an hour, so excited haven't seen him since Friday morning

BooSurprise · 05/03/2014 20:24

You have my sympathy cookielove our buyer pulled out the week we were due to exchange when I was pregnant last time! that was after stringing us along for weeks, some people are just shits!
Just think that house wasn't for you and something better will be round the corner. No news from me, little darlings have given me some nasty virus, for which the only bonus is I have continued to lose my appetite and so hopefully a few more pounds might be lost this week- although I have eaten way way too much chocolate today in an effort to feel better.

weebairn · 05/03/2014 21:03

Hello,
haven't been on here for a little while - it's so busy! And you ladies mostly seem a lot further on than me (due 27 Sept).

Still in the throes of nausea and tiredness. Work is so so tiring, and the toddler is too. Feel a bit like my life's on hold just waiting till I feel better. Sleeping about 9 hours a night, unless I'm working late. (Thank god the baby is sleeping, though she does get up at 5am, yawn…)

So, is anyone not showing at all then? Everyone told me I'd show really early as this is DC2 but everything fits fine (haven't weighed myself). I'm trying not to be worried about this as last time I didn't start showing till about 20 weeks… and work didn't notice till gone 30! Still. Is there anything us pregnant ladies DON'T worry about?? Cannot possibly justify an asos fix yet, haha.

10+5

OneInAMinion · 05/03/2014 21:27

Hi weebairn, I'm in the same boat & haven't posted for a while as I'm only 10+5 and so miles behind most and can't really contribute much. I don't have a scan date yet, I still have no symptoms (other than tiredness) and I'm still the same size, so no need for maternity clothes, etc.

Looking forward to it becoming a bit more real hopefully in a few weeks & glad to hear lots of happy scan stories.

weebairn · 05/03/2014 21:29

Ooh, nice to meet a due date buddy OneInaMinion! Do you have a date for your scan yet? Mine is 20 March. It will hopefully feel more real then but I feel a lot "safer" than I did a few weeks ago, at least.

You are lucky to have escaped the sickness! Hope things continue to go smoothly for you. We'll have our bumps soon enough and by summer will be cursing our size I'm sure!

OneInAMinion · 05/03/2014 21:35

Nope weebairn Hmm I saw the midwife last Thursday for the first time and she's sent random paperwork off so I'm waiting for a letter with a date from the hospital. If it hasn't arrived by mid next week she told me to call her and she'd chase it up so hopefully I'm not too far off.

I feel really fortunate to have avoided all the yucky ms that everyone else has been suffering from, but my lack of symptoms has made me a bit paranoid about the baby (dc1) so I'm eager to see him or her and check everything's okay. It still doesn't feel real yet, but I'm sure it will soon...and you're right, I'm sure I'll be moaning and cursing about being pregnant in no time Grin

weebairn · 05/03/2014 21:39

I know lots of people who had no sickness. Try not to worry. If you're nearly 11 weeks and have had no worrying signs, the odds are overwhelmingly in your favour!

OneInAMinion · 05/03/2014 21:40

That's reassuring to hear weebairn, thanks Smile

Cindy5389 · 05/03/2014 21:41

Hi all, quite a dramatic day today. Firstly it is my birthday, (but feeling so rubbish doesn't exactly make it nice.) At least I managed to have a meal out and keep it down.. Well the other full time lady in the office handed her notice in today! Talk about wrong timing. I so wanted to wait til after my scan on Monday, but i caved in and told my directors. Seemed silly to wait until next week when they need to be planning now. Anyways they took the news really well. I'm so pleased. It's such a weight off my mind and I'm glad I didn't have much time this morning to keep going over what I was going to say in my head, as I have been for weeks lol.

OneInAMinion · 05/03/2014 21:47

I'm not sure there's ever a good time Cindy (I'm supposed to be going for promotion this summer!) but glad to hear you've had a happy birthday and it's out there now and they've been supportive - now you can relax!

misog2000 · 05/03/2014 22:10

Oooohh webairn we are scan date buddies, I'm due 30th so a couple of days behind you. My scan is at 8.20 so I'm a little concerned about being able to drink enough to fill my bladder as I am horribly sick every morning....will just have to get up really early and hope it eases off in time fx

weebairn · 06/03/2014 06:31

Ah, misog, my scan is 8.20 too!! At least there shouldn't be much waiting around. I'll think of you!
Getting up early no problem in this household with 17 month old...

dontevenblink · 06/03/2014 07:17

weebairn I'm 13+4 and on dc no.4 and I'm still in my normal clothes! I've been the same through all my pregnancies, must be the way I carry them... My tummy is definitely starting to get bigger now though, and I can feel a bump, so I reckon its only a matter of time before my jeans don't do up! I definitely couldn't wear anything figure hugging though as it would show then Grin couldn't before anyway due to 3 children

OneInAMinion I've had different symptoms with my pregnancy - with dd, my eldest, I had hyperemesis all the way through, but with ds1 and ds2 I didn't have any sickness at all! This one I've been feeling very queasy but haven't actually been sick apart from once. Seems to be worse when I don't eat - when I feel hungry if I didn't eat I think I would be sick. Thought it was getting better, but this evening when doing dc's dinner I had an overwhelming wave of nausea, not helped by dc whining at me...! Maybe it means its another girl... Confused

Good luck with your scans, I was so, so nervous but baby was definitely there and very wriggly Smile It was my first time having a scan in New Zealand, all my others were in the UK (although DC3 was born here), completely different experience here...

BexBoo12 · 06/03/2014 07:52

Oneinaminion I've had no sickness either!! Had my scan last week and one very wriggly baby in there. Now 13+4. Hope that reassures you x

cookielove · 06/03/2014 09:07

Had my mumps blood test this morning and she couldn't get any blood out, luckily got booking in this afternoon so hopefully they can get it then.
