kk Thanks, will wait and see what happens.
I think the CM you describe is quite normal, assuming no pain or irritation etc. If you are worried you could ring your mw but I have days where I feel wet (overshare sorry). When ttc I read a few posts describing this.

waybuloony · 04/03/2014 14:16

Just thought I'd say hi. Glad lots of us are feeling more 'normal' and that the fussy eating is slowly disappearing.

Wow, amazing that some are feeling kicks already. I thought I did the other night but it could have been wind Blush.

Thought I'd share a top tip I learned from a friend re stretch marks. Make sure you put the oil/cream/moisturiser of your choice right the way around your middle area ie. include the top of bum/love handle area not just your tummy as the skin stretches in all these areas too, particularly later on. Makes sense when you think about it but maybe not obvious. I've managed to avoid stretch marks in my other pregnancies so hoping I can this time too...now if I could just get rid of the cellulite....

kkfairybrains · 04/03/2014 14:56

Thanks for replies ladies.
Whiteblossom it's strange cos it didn't feel wet just hard and stretchy.
May ring the EPU rockin thanks never thought of that.

Lottiedoubtie · 04/03/2014 15:20

Right I've just cracked. 5 weeks of barely being able to get out of bed for the sickness and I've stubbornly refused to take the anti sickness meds because I'm a coward I'm scared of them hurting the baby/complicating my asthma... And I feel too sick to contemplate standing in the shower today and I've just had enough of it so I've taken one.

Shit. Tell me I've done the right thing... Someone?

rockin20s · 04/03/2014 15:37

Lottie you have done the right thing! you also need to live!

if the doctor/midwife/consultant are happy with you taking them then you should be fine

sjs152 · 04/03/2014 15:57

Scan went well, one little jelly baby spotted but I have to go back next week as I am only 11 weeks not the 12 I thought, so they couldn't get the measurements. Never mind though Smile

rockin20s · 04/03/2014 16:19

wonderful news sjs
and you get another scan!!

are you telling family now?

marie1w · 04/03/2014 17:25

Same happened to me ask. I have a second scan tomorrow and should be 13 weeks so hoping to het a good picture!

marie1w · 04/03/2014 17:26

Not ask...sjs

kkfairybrains · 04/03/2014 17:36

You poor thing Lottie. Of course you done the right thing. Hopefully you start to feel better x

Great news on the scan sjs! Lucky you getting another one so soon!

Lottiedoubtie · 04/03/2014 18:04

Thanks guys. Managed to have that shower but don't feel any better. Turns out they don't work very well! Sad

beckworth · 04/03/2014 18:12

Thanks for the Asos tip, just bought a bunch of stuff in 2 different sizes, will return whatever doesn't fit. A bit early, but too good a bargain to miss!

whiteblossom · 04/03/2014 18:21

oh lottie you poor thing, def' take the meds!

Well our secret is finally out now, thank goodness for that! The response was fairly underwhelming. oh well.

CumbrianExile · 04/03/2014 19:02

I was going to ask when you should start to feel the baby move. I am 14 weeks tomorrow and today I have been getting a fluttery feeling. Wasnt sure if it was my imagination or not Grin

Lottie hope you feel better soon, but you should def take the meds if the doc is happy for you to do so.

IAteSomeofthePies · 04/03/2014 19:25

Lottie I hope you feel better soon. Of course you should take the anti sickness meds! It's important for you to feel well enough to grow that little bean.

kkfairy anything strange is so worrying, isn't it? There's no end to the weird things my body has done/ is doing. I'm sure it's nothing and hope that the EPU relieves your mind.

Lucky sjs and Marie, with two chances to check out your little ones. Enjoy!

Whiteblossom I'm glad your secret is out, even if it felt anticlimactic. At least this means that big brother is getting more comfortable, right?

I told work this week and so far everyone has been totally lovely. What a relief!

cookielove · 04/03/2014 19:43

So bored off work, hopefully will be getting my bloods done tomorrow fx ladies I'm immune!

Gonna call maternity unit tomorrow and see if I can book a scan!

topmammy · 04/03/2014 19:43

whiteblossom 're: Asos sizing, I ordered a few new look items via the asos site and a couple from the asos brand. I ordered my usual size 14 but both the asos items were too big, so will return and exchange for 12s. So I'd say the asos sizing is generous. I'm off back to the asos site though to see if I can get some bargains now! Can't believe I ordered just before this sale Hmm

sjs152 · 04/03/2014 20:12

Yes, lucky me getting to see jelly baby againGrin I need to drink less next time, the sonographer described it as trying to look through an ocean Blush . We have told our five year old DS this evening and he seemed very pleased Smile

topmammy · 04/03/2014 20:26

Aaaah just gone cRaZy on the Asos sale. Oops. Cant ignore half price though when i'd never buy those things full price. Did order some things in 2 sizes though (good idea whiteblossom ) so I won't tell DH how much I spent just yet.......... hehe. Grin

Topsyloulou · 04/03/2014 20:30

Lucid - thanks for the Asos link. Got a big parcel arriving tomorrow. None of it will fit yet but too good to pass up. Also got a pair of under bump jeans from Next for a fiver today so a good day for bargains.

We started telling people on Saturday & so far everyone has been very excited, more so because they know we've had two mc. It's lovely to tell people but feels strange talking about it so openly & not having to hide it anymore, almost missing the secrecy & never thought I'd say that!

Congrats on all the good scan news today & positive thoughts for anyone who has one tomorrow.

topmammy · 04/03/2014 20:45

Anyone else impatient to feel baby move/kick? I want to feel it for definite for reasurrance as 20w scan seems ages away.

Yes good to read of more good scan news today :)

kkfairy I've not had exactly the same symptom you're describing but I am getting (sorry tmi) light yellowy discharge which I didn't before being pg, so the colour you describe sounds normal. I'm sure I've read in my pregnancy book that an increased amount of discharge is normal so try not to worry :)

kkfairybrains · 04/03/2014 23:13

Thanks topmammy. I feel more calm about it this evening since there was no cramping or anything so I just put it out of my head. Only 5 more days to wait for scan so not long till I see that everything is good in there!

Kittyrose1 · 05/03/2014 08:31

Morning mummies to be,
Sorry I went AWOL for a bit, my exhaustion has been like nothing else! Literally feel like my body is lead by 4pm!
So happy to see lovely scan news and some ladies even feeling baby move!
I finally have my midwife appt next week and scan next Friday 14th. I'm 11+1 according to my dates. I'm glad some others are saying about feeling huge because my bump is showing especially after dinner! I look about 5ninths when I've eaten lol. I've also been getting pains when i cough or laugh suddenly like over stretching, in guessing that's relaxin and ligaments getting looser?
I was ever so sorry to hear broodys sad news, has anyone heard from her since?
Xx

isitme1 · 05/03/2014 09:44

Kitty I have a tight jumper on today and I look around that lol. In my defence im only a month or so of that!

Ds was in hospital last night after visiting gp in the Morning then walk in centre and ended up in hospital.

They arent really sure whats wrong hopefully hes over the worst.
Ive got headache and kidney pain (cant get checkes until nurses have been for ds which could be 2pm!)
Also some bleeding which im guessing is irritation afterdtd.

Ds is starting again....

whiteblossom · 05/03/2014 09:46

Morning all, I stupidly didn't order from asos yesterday so there were about four things I really wanted and they were sold out duh! So I ordered two tops this morning, one of them in two sizes. Did anyone order the mamalicious floral print shell top? I really really wanted that one but hey ho, I wonder if they will get more stock?

Im currently wearing a pair of jeans that are a good size too big and I popped my phone into the back pocket this morning and the weight pulled them down!! My phone barely weighs anything. Im hoping the jeans I ordered from next fit well fx. I just cant stand the bump band.

how is everyone today, I woke in a fab mood Grin
