Great news on the scan misog and well done half emptying- that is a really tricky feat!
Good luck for the other scans today.

misog2000 · 20/03/2014 09:47

I'm on a conundrum now re telling people.....hubby wants to tell everyone right now, I think we should wait until the bloods come back and we get our downs risk! NT was 1.5 so good (as far as I can tell), does anyone know if the bloods make up half the result? Or is it likely to be ok given the NT result?

Don't know what to do! Don't want to burst his bubble as it were, but scared of telling people too soon. Any thoughts very welcome x

misog2000 · 20/03/2014 09:47

In a conundrum not on one?

weebairn · 20/03/2014 10:23

Scan all good!! Will write more in a bit!! Only one baba thank god!!

whiteblossom · 20/03/2014 10:42

misog bladder of steel Grin

Really glad everyone scans are going well, its really exciting! Welcome newbys [waves]

Ive asked my ds to hold off telling everyone until the 20 week scan, is that a bit harsh? Last pg I told everyone at 12 weeks but this time...I cant explain it.

I finally hemmed those jersey trousers!! yay I can live in wear them Grin

My bump looks like a bear belly- not a good luck! Roll on 20 weeks.

weebairn · 20/03/2014 10:59

I had the same sonographer as last pregnancy which was lovely! Baba was lazy and uncooperative, so I had to go off and fill up my bladder more and then jump up and down before she could take measurements.

Due date is now 30 September… which is DD's birthday!!! Shock Would be awesome if they shared a birthday. She will only be 2 so thankfully she won't realise it if I miss the actual day…

Oh I feel so relieved… though also very tearful, have been crying a bit. Very tired with the night shifts though I think…

My BMI is 25. Hmmm. Now I remember why I don't weigh myself! I had a sulk to DP on the way home, he had no time for that, hah. I swear I look a lot smaller than that and my size 8 jeans are still fitting ok! It's all muscle , or tits, I swear Wink

weebairn · 20/03/2014 11:14

misog hooray so glad all is well with you! Are we the last two on this thread? As my due date is now 30 September I am sure I will be the last person to have a baby here!!

misog2000 · 20/03/2014 11:41

I think we were the last two - I'm due 25th now so a bit earlier than originally thought and my parents wedding anniversary so sure they will be hoping baby arrives on it's due date. So pleased all is ok for you too

MundayCakes85 · 20/03/2014 13:54

Afternoon ladies, I had my second(!) 12 week scan today and EDD is now 28th Sept if anyone updates the stats? Was really lovely to see it, even got a front facing crazy alien face photo Grin
DH said there's no ignoring it now- we're actually doing this!! Ah bless those men in denial Smile
Good luck to anyone else having scans today x

Kittyrose1 · 20/03/2014 14:14

Thanks dontevenblink and topsy, plus whoever else replied re nct. I think because I'm so wanting to do a hump birthing course I'm a bit worried about the coat of that and nct, pro be looking at about £500 for the two!
Lots to think about although I know it's early but apparently should book asap as places go quickly xx

Newlywed2013 · 20/03/2014 15:37

Hey ladies! I know it's been a while since I last updated! Everything is finally improving here! I ventured out by myself for the first time into town yesterday as I've been so ill and suffering from getting lightheaded very often! I had started to becom a hermit!
The HG has def died down and I am now back to work doing 3hrs a day. I am still sick most days but usually not more than once and I don't have the constant t feeling of nausea!
The hospital have put me under consultant care due to the significant weightloss early on (I went from 48kg to 40kg and lost all body fat and muscles were starting to get eaten away! Gross) I will get extra growth scans at 28,32 and 36 weeks which is cool and I'm glad we will get to see bubba a bit more! And there is a chance they may not let me go over due to a full term still birth my mum had. Got a midwife appointment next week and I don't think my midwife knows I'm under consultant care!

Last of all something devastating happened yesterday! My belly button popped! I have always had a lovely innie but now it's an outie and outies freak me out!!

duzzlightyearsmum · 20/03/2014 16:27

Hi ladies just dropping in for a quick update and some virtual caffeine free tea! Have been in local hospital this afternoon after having some heart palpitations this morning :( baba is fine but have been feeling fairly rubbish myself, light headed, pins and needles and irregular heartbeat. Have finally been allowed home with the conditions that I will consume no caffeine whatsoever down to chocolate/tea, basically anything that might have caffeine in! And have to rest and not allowed to drive! Fear I have been over doing it slightly with extra hours at work.

Also been told I have to phone an ambulance if I experience chest pain/tightening or if it happens again this evening so am now slightly nervous which is probably not helping to keep my heart calm lol!

Doctor laughingly informed me I'm not to get stressed out, uh hello I have a two year old that is pretty much impossible lol!

Hope everyone else is having a better day! Xxx

isitme1 · 20/03/2014 16:54

Hope you feel better soon duzz
if it helps I get palpations when pg due to anaemia and the extra blood flow in body but that's about it.

Been to epy today. .uti hasnt gone and it bloody hurts! They've give more of the same antibiotics Hmm which is a bit Hmm imo as if the antibiotics ive been having for a week arent working they won't work now! They've sent more urine for cultures.

lolee777 · 20/03/2014 17:27

Hi everyone, I'd like to check in. I had my dating scan today (13 weeks), due date 25th September. It went well (going by the comments of the lovely sonographer). It seemed a very long wait for today, now just waiting for the results of the combined screening so another week to worry. I am struggling with the worrying and have just got a hypno cd to help.

BexBoo12 · 20/03/2014 19:18

Can I ask, when you've had the measurement from back of baby's neck, and the blood test within a week, how soon should we hear about our personal risk factor rate? I had my scan on 26 feb and my bloods taken 3 days later and still haven't heard anything? Should I be worried?

Lottiedoubtie · 20/03/2014 19:33

I had the scan and bloods on the same day. They said I'd get a phone call within the week if it was 'high risk' but to expect a letter in approx 3 weeks if all was well. So no news is good news I think!

It's been 2 weeks now and I've heard nothing, so fingers crossed!

BexBoo12 · 20/03/2014 19:36

Thanks Lottie, I feel better now so fingers crossed everything is ok!

lolee777 · 20/03/2014 19:40

I was told i would probably get the results for the combined test (bloods too) by the end of next week. They gave me a report which gave the measurement of 1.9mm which must be an average as I saw her take a 1.7mm measurement.

topmammy · 20/03/2014 19:42

I wouldn't worry Bex. My MW said that if you had a high risk result you'd find out within about a week, and letters to inform you of low risk could take up to 4 weeks to get to you. I know different areas of the country are different but im sure you wouldve heard by now if there was a problem.

So when I got my letter in the post in just a week I panicked! But turned out to be low risk anyway, they must have not been too busy!

BexBoo12 · 20/03/2014 19:51

Thanks girl, I feel better now. They measured 1.2mm on my scan and she did say it was low but she couldn't guarantee anything of course. Hopefully that means everything is ok Smile

gunwalloe · 20/03/2014 21:49

Eeeeek all these lovely low nuchals myn was 2.4 I reckon I'm on track for high risk :( anyone else have a result similar to myn?

Topsyloulou · 20/03/2014 21:53

Gun mine was 2.5. Don't quote me on this but i think I read somewhere anything below 4 is ok. Anyone else know if that's right?

Englishgirlinwales22 · 20/03/2014 21:58

Hi guys
sorry I haven't posted very much since the beginning, but it has been manic in work and dd is teething so I am shattered! I can't remember being this tired for so long when I was pregnant with dd, but then I could actually relax in an evening after work and not have to run around after a 17 month old!
Had our 12 week dating scan last week and my due date is now 6 sep 2014. Saw the baby breathing and everything, very special.
Has anyone started lactating already? I was in the shower this morning and my boobs, which have been really sore and swollen lately, started leaking a clear discharge which turned white when I squeezed my nipple. I cant remember this happening so early before...
Hope that everyone is ok and enjoying the second trimester. I dont feel glowing yet, but I hope it comes soon cos I feel like a fat zombie at the moment!

IAteSomeofthePies · 20/03/2014 22:15

So nice to hear the lovely scan news, ladies! Also glad that you're back on your bit a feet, newlywed. Just checking in- sorry to be MIA. Things have been super busy with work and traveling, but I am keeping up on you all.

I had my 16 week midwife appt this week. It was fab to hear the heartbeat again. Such a relief. I think as of yesterday I actually look a bit pregnant, rather than flabby. But that might be too optimistic!

BexBoo12 · 20/03/2014 22:28

Don't know why but I have the number 3.4 in my head. anything below 3.4 I think is what my sonographer called normal so don't worry ladies xx
