Nice scan pics everyone, my next one is 25th April, got my next MW app tomorrow, will I be able hear baby's heart at this one?
Massive stress at work, since I'm the only employee my employer has nothing in place for my leave, he doesn't even live in this country! Seems to think I can write a manual to leave with him, but it's an impossible ask! I suspect he's also trying to make things difficult in an effort to push me out, getting very nit picky with me & said I was a disappointment a week after losing my MIL! I don't know how I'm going to cope till august :(

xxmissbrightsidexx · 12/03/2014 17:33

DearDinah you should be able to hear heartbeat tomorrow yeah :)

TheOnlySeven · 12/03/2014 17:33

Glad to hear about more happy scans.

dinah sorry to hear you're having a hard time at work. You don't usually get to hear the heartbeat until 16 weeks.

My next scan isn't until 7th May, I have a consultant appointment on 2nd April though. I think it's a boy, DH says girl so we'll see who's right.

13 weeks today, so glad to finally be in the second trimester!

we heard a heartbeat at an appointment with the midwife at 9weeks when i was expecting my youngest x

TheOnlySeven · 12/03/2014 17:34

X-post. In all fairness they don't seem to do an appointment here between booking in and 16 weeks.

I've heard that sometimes they don't like to check for the heartbeat too early because they can't always find it before 16 weeks, which obviously would leave you a lot more worried than if they hadn't tried. It may just depend on your MW.

yeah it does depend on mw, the one that i had with my youngest kept on stressing that we may not hear anything etc but not to worry if we didnt, she put the doppler on she picked a heartbeat up straight away. but i asked my mw this time round when i had booking in and she said she wouldnt attempt to listen for a heartbeat until 16week appt x

DearDinah · 12/03/2014 17:59

Ok, this is supposed to be my 16 week appt, but I am just over 15 weeks, didn't have time to reschedule, hope she's not annoyed! Lol

isitme1 · 12/03/2014 18:43

They didn't even do heartbeat check here today!!
currently sat in a+e with ds2.
Ds1 keeps saying hes going to work Hmm

cookielove · 12/03/2014 19:51

Bit of a lurker here (name changed too, sorry!) but wanted to let people know about scans;

If you want a gender scan, google babybond and they do a scan for £39 which is a gender reveal.
Nothing fancy but you can go from 18 weeks and you get to find out team blue or pink.

Just incase anyone really wanted one but can't justify the cost of a full private scan.

Smile
GingerRodgers · 12/03/2014 20:01

Company is ultrasound direct and it's a 'just gender' scan.

topmammy · 12/03/2014 20:47

Great to hear of more good scan news today :)

Ooh I really really can't wait to find out the sex of baby. 20w scan is 9th April, so actually it's not that long to wait......omg!! Shock

Got my 16w appt next Tuesday, although I will actually be 17w exactly. Hope that's not a problem. Looking forward to hearing baby's heartbeat for the first time.

Does anyone know the best time to have one of those 3D (or is it 4D? Confused ) scans? Obviously the longer you leave it the less of baby you can get to actually see at once on the screen, so I was just wondering when the best time actually is.

Can't actually believe how many times I have used the word 'actually' in this post. Haha Grin

Newlywed2013 · 13/03/2014 01:46

katherine yes I am based in Swindon! I did look at details but thought just seeing swindon was ok lol!
I'm not based in Swindon yet, was supposed to move in May but now moving in August there :-)

cookielove · 13/03/2014 07:28

So scared have not slept at all!

BexBoo12 · 13/03/2014 07:33

Good luck for scans today!

Daytona79 · 13/03/2014 07:50

Had my scan yesterday said I'm 12weeks so baby due 24th sept. Had NT measurement of 1.6mm so just waiting this week for blood results, praying I get a low risk number, if it's in 100's gonna get the harmony test done. Scan went well and all looked as it should do. Happy days

TwosaCrowd · 13/03/2014 08:41

Had my scan yesterday! I'm 14+1 so that puts my EDD at 09/09/2014! Means I was over the threshold for having the nuchal fold test done (grrrr stupid hospital!) so have to have a blood test instead.

DownstairsMixUp · 13/03/2014 09:39

tap i had a 4d scan with my DS at 27 weeks and it was lovely. Got really good shots of his face and his eyes even opened on one of the shots!

ksrwr · 13/03/2014 10:22

i had my scan yesterday, and they said my due date is 26th september, which is exactly what i made it with my calculations too.
was amazing to see the little baby moving around, waving, turning etc. so unbelievable really.
except now i feel like i'm betraying my dd by having another baby!!
anyone else got 26 september as a due date?

KitKat1985 · 13/03/2014 10:47

Hope your scan goes well this morning cookielove and anyone else with one today. I'm off for mine in a bit. Had weird dreams about it all night. Ekk! So nervous! x

Lottiedoubtie · 13/03/2014 11:02

Yay so much happy scan news! Just catching up with this thread as have been hiding this week! Had a crap week with ongoing sickness and an even crapper counselling appointment.

Starting to come out the other side now, and the sunshine seems to be helping!

gunwalloe · 13/03/2014 11:05

Congrats on all the fab scan news and good luck to all those having a scan today.

chewbecca47 · 13/03/2014 11:05

Hi missingcaffeine, please add me to your list, EDD Sunday 14 September 2014. Thanks, ;)

Mummyinpink1289 · 13/03/2014 11:55

Hi Ladies, sorry i dissappeared off the planet for a while. Life seems to have taken me away from thnking about pregnancy over the last month!
We had 2 scans since i last wrote - it turned out i was a week behind what i thought so new due date is 17th of September! but all is fine and im now 13wks :-)

I wondered if any of you have ever been to the national baby show before? -im trying my hardest to find out if you can buy big items like pushchairs/cots/car seats and take them away on the day?

DH is annoying the crap out of me and refusing to go unless we can take things away - says hes not paying them to then have them go bust before shipping our items like a day later. argh! could seriously murder him sometimes.

Hope everyone is ok and looking forward to the second trimester if not already in it ... i thought the second trimester started at 12 weeks, but when i googled it it said 14 weeks...when does it start?!
