LOL at the midnight bread baking. And YES! to pregnancy massages. Saved my life last pregnancy and I still get one every couple of months. Oh they are bliss.

Seven that's completely shit, I'm so sorry you have to put up with people being like that. For what it's worth, I think you are extremely courageous, pregnancy is hard enough without having such huge uncertainties and worries as well. Do you get extra scans, counselling, etc?

whiteblossom good luck making a decision. I generally let people know when it comes up after I've had a scan, but I don't go out of my way to tell them iyswim. I can see how schools must be hard work, though. I work in a hospital and we are more like little cogs all dashing around, I don't think anyone cares if we are well/unwell/pregnant/have grown two heads as long as the work gets done…

Dinah- I'm sorry for your loss. It was a lovely idea to take DH and DFIL to another scan - I'm sure it was a lovely happy moment for them amongst all the sadness.

cookielove · 09/03/2014 10:22

Dinah sorry for your loss!

Inb00m I have my scan on Thursday (a little scared but also excited)

Two people I know just put up 12 week scan photos on fb!

rockin20s · 09/03/2014 10:42

Lots of Christmas babies Smile

KitKat1985 · 09/03/2014 11:23

Hmmm, had some brown discharge again this morning (a bit reminiscent of the spotting I had at 5+4), except now I'm 12+2. Lord I thought this stress was supposed to have eased off by now?!? I'm hoping it's just that damn cyst on my left ovary bleeding a bit again. I'm not in any pain / have any other symptoms so I'm not going to panic like I did last time unless it gets worse. I've got an obstetrician appointment in the morning anyway, and scan on Thursday, but it's another worry. There's not much I can do on a Sunday anyway. GP and EPAU are closed. Anyone else had this? x

isitme1 · 09/03/2014 11:31

Kitkat have you had sex recently? That can cause a lil irritation otherwise it will most likely be the cyst.
If it was anything else you would be In pain. Try and relax and see the obs too see what they say x

topmammy · 09/03/2014 16:01

Welcome back Dinah :) Very sorry for your family's loss Thanks

Sounds like you are remaining calm KitKat which is the best thing to do. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about :)

I'm getting increasingly worried about the lack of DTD since my BFP Confused I just don't have the desire to do it. Hubby does but doesn't want to hurt baby. Although I know baby would be fine! I thought being pg was meant to make you feel more in the mood lol.

Well I've been for a walk today without needing a coat on and even put the air con on in the car. Ooh la la I hope this means spring has officially arrived! Could get used to this sunshine Grin

isitme1 · 09/03/2014 16:20

Topmammy I've just come back from a long walk with both dc.
Was hoping ds1 would become hungry as he walked that much but when we got in he said he didnt want anything and laid down.
Hes on his feed now so he wont eat for another few hours if he eats anything. Hes lost that much weight Sad

KitKat1985 · 09/03/2014 17:02

Still spotting but not in pain and only brown blood. Think it's probably my pesky cyst but will mention it to docs tomorrow.

I'm also not in a 'sexy' place. Just too tired all the time. Poor DH!

Sorry to hear about DS1 isitme. Are the docs helping at all? xxx

isitme1 · 09/03/2014 17:18

Glad your appointment isnt weeks away so at least you see them tomorrow x
I wish the drs would help. Hes just so underweight. Hes losy loads due to illness past few days. 2-3yr old clothes are falling off him (4 in sept) ds2 is around a kg or 2 of his weight (7months old)
hes borderline autistic and is fed by a tube but not enough to prevent weight loss as we've found out. Ive increased his feeds but he needs to eat so he doesn't get used to not eating again Hmm
Ive shown him lots of different pics of different foods but nope it hurts my tummy mama.

Cindy5389 · 09/03/2014 17:32

dinah sorry for the loss of your MIL.

Scan tomorrow at 8.30am. So excited! Dh has got to go back to work (he was meant to book the whole day off so we can do the rounds telling family - men r useless). Anyways we r just going to have to be very quick at telling everyone, so he can be back by lunchtime. I'm sure he can make out it was delayed or something.

Still feeling sick. Last few days were my worst ever. I thought things were meant to calm down/stop. I hope that it gets better soon as I really can't take much more. Have got an appt with the doctor Friday as I have just moved doctors and the nurse at the new patient appt said it was a good idea to meet my new doctor as I'm pregnant. If it doesn't improve I may mention the sickness although I really don't want to be taking medicines if I can help it.

Inbl00m · 09/03/2014 18:59

Good luck Cindy and Cookie Smile Hope it goes really well.

I'm also so excited but very nervous. Such a funny feeling. Want to wait as long as possible to tell people just in case something goes wrong but also can't wait to get the secret off my chest Confused

TheOnlySeven · 09/03/2014 19:02

weebairn I don't get extra scans for it as it wouldn't show up in a scan anyway. I do get extra growth scans though due to PE in my first pregnancy and premature labours. The only available extra is genetic testing, which we've always declined. It's invasive and wouldn't change our decision. We'll find out what we're having though and if it's a boy we can have cord blood taken at birth and stored until we want it tested.

kitkat brown blood is old blood and they're generally less worried about it than red blood, so it's quite likely to be the cyst. Try to have a relaxing night and mention it tomorrow.

isitme sorry to hear about DS1, that sounds really tough :(

I have no desire for sex either, which is just as well as I need to continue the thrush treatment for a fortnight. I've found before that it tends to increase a bit more further into the second trimester once the exhaustion has worn off.

Isitme1 sorry to hear you're having such a rough time of it. My brother has aspergers syndrome and I know my parents struggled with getting him to eat as well, and he was quite underweight when he was younger. If it makes you feel any better, he did get better with eating as he got older, but I think the autism makes it so hard for young children to try new things. Hugs. xxx

Sorry to hear you're feeling so rough Cindy. Hope you feel a bit better soon. xxx

Thanks for the reassurance TheOnlySeven. I think it probably is the cyst as from what I understand, if it was anything else, it would probably be painful and involve heavy red bleeding, especially at post 12 weeks, although I can't help but feel a bit twitchy about it all. xxx

dontevenblink · 10/03/2014 03:12

Oh my goodness, I seem to have woken up this morning with a big bump, literally overnight! And now nothing fits - yesterday I could button my jeans, now I would risk popping a button Grin I spent most of this morning in the garage trying to find my maternity clothes, only to find I don't have my jeans anymore and most of them are winter clothes and although I will be pregnant in winter here, we have much shorter winters and it doesn't get that cold... A friend has now promised to take me out shopping as I don't have a clue where to buy maternity clothes here - I am jealous of you all being able to pop into Next etc Envy.
I'm 14+1 and it's my 4th so guess I was never going to remain small for long, and I think this did happen to some extent with dc3, but not quite so dramatically Grin

KitKat I hope you're doing ok, and your appointment goes well
isitme hope your ds feels better soon, it's so tough when they are ill. Hope you manage to get some rest too.
Dinah sorry for your loss.

isitme1 · 10/03/2014 08:27

Thank you all Flowers
Hes currently eating some toastbut it looks like a mouse has been nibbling it, hes taking such small bits. He will be at it for a while and wont really get anywhere. Ah well. At least hes had some of the toast flavour.

Dontevenblink did you know next delivers to a lot of other countries where abouts are you? They even deliver to my dh home country in Asia lol.

Kitkat good luck at the appointment today x

My next appointment is on Wednesday to see mw at the hospital will ask her if she will ask my consultant about a scan to make sure the bleed has gone as it really puts me on edge when im out. Keep thinking I will just bleed heavy. Its not nice when you know the feeling too Sad
Then Thursday im at renal clinic. Will probably get a kidney scan there but its a different hospital.

My anamoly scan is next month Grin soooo excited! Cant wait to find out.
X

kkfairybrains · 10/03/2014 09:02

rockin20s · 10/03/2014 09:12

cookielove · 10/03/2014 10:12

Good luck rockin

isitme1 · 10/03/2014 10:16

Good luck kk and rockin x

kkfairybrains · 10/03/2014 10:24

Thanks everyone! It's horrible having to wait rockin isn't it! My house is in a tip after me being away yesterday Angry. So I'll have plenty to pass the time until 1.30!

rockin20s · 10/03/2014 11:06

sadly i am suppose to be 'working from home' this morning. DH has taken the day off work to go the the scan so is pottering around the house. I'm not getting any work done.

KitKat1985 · 10/03/2014 11:11

Good luck to everyone with scans today. I've got mine on Thursday and I'm a bit nervous but getting excited now! I'll be 12+6 so should get some good pics, all being well. :)

Dontevenblink how funny about your sudden bump. I hope you have luck getting some maternity clothes!

Isitme1 blimey you have a lot on your plate at the mo! Try to make sure you get some nice time to yourself and look after yourself with all the stress you are under.

Just to say appointment was fine. Had BP check and wee check which were both fine, and had some routine bloods done. Asked obstetrician about the brown bleeding yesterday (seems to have pretty much stopped today) and he said quite a few women have this, and unless it's heavy, fresh blood or you're in pain not to worry about it. So hope that's reassuring to anyone else who experiences this. xxx

Cindy5389 · 10/03/2014 14:56

Had an amazing scan this morning! Lots of arm movements. Everything was fine. Dated me at 13w2d, so due date now 13th September.

gunwalloe · 10/03/2014 15:15

Just back from my second attempt at the harmony test all looking good, just got the two week wait now. Who else is awaiting results? They keep moving my dates so I don't know if im due in Sept or Oct so im floating between both groups.
