Congrats on the scans, welcome newcomers, and good luck with the imminent scans! I'm also a late Sep due date, 27th, onein, weeb and misog.
I was told by a obs/gyane consultant who did my private early scan, that the nuchal fold scan is dependant on the length of the baby it has to be between a certain range of length in mm. Prior to that I'd heard both 13+6 and 14+1 from 2 different scanning depts. I guess if you have a shorter baby, maybe you can have the scan later?! A few people haven't managed to get the nuchal reading even in correct dates as baby couldn't get into the right position for it! I have my booking in appt on 14th, hopefully scan shortly after.
So yesterday was the first day someone at work dared to come up to me and say 'I know I shouldn't know, but I do, so congratulations!' followed by 'I thought I could see a bump this-morning'. Now I'm not sure which comment has bothered me more, probably the 2nd one, as I wear a really baggy tunic uniform and I am only 10+6!! I do feel huge and feel like I've gained a stone round my tummy (I haven't weighed myself) but this can't be normal?! Think I'm constipated (after being the opposite for weeks) which probably adds to the feeling huge. My eating has become healthier over the last week since the nausea has improved and I can finally face veggies and normal food again.
So I start a new job in a few weeks, and really don't want to be visibly pregnant and want to hide it from staff for as long as possible (though I plan to tell my manager as early as I feel comfortable telling her). I won't be in uniform and need to dress quite smartly. Any suggestions of things I can wear that will hide it well? I need to shop for a whole new wardrobe as apart from the weight gain, I don't have any smart work clothes having worn uniform for the last 2 years.
