Hi all, I have my BFP and due 30th October. It's my third baby and was 2 weeks late with the last two so bound to be November.

Anybody else for November yet? I know it's very very early :)

OP posts:

Giraffeski · 02/03/2014 19:47

I have been drinking Rooibos (Redbush) instead of decaf- it's pretty much like normal tea but naturally caffeine free

Tigsy · 02/03/2014 19:51

Absolutely shattered today- think it's unlikely anything to do with being pregnant. More as a result of working 12 hour shifts all weekend, and giving up caffeine as well!

Getting pregnant this month was perfect timing with regards to hiding it from friends, etc. They'd catch on so quick if I wasn't drinking, but I've decided to tell them all I'm giving up alcohol for lent!

Got my parents and brother coming over for dinner tomorrow night- is going to be very hard not to say anything.

RandomInternetStranger · 02/03/2014 20:28

I didn't think the nesting thing existed till right at the end but I've had a rocket up my backside all week want to spring clean the house and get it in order. There are junk drawers I've not looked in for 3 years that are now perfectly organised and in order.Grin

But other than the frantic cleaning I've been getting really tired really early. I'm actually half asleep typing this and about to hit the sack now. Smile

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 02/03/2014 20:52

Good work Giraffe. We will have to sort a bedroom out too. I need to have a massive clear out but haven't quite got that nesting instinct yet.

Tigsy that's a blinding excuse for not drinking. I've probably not given anything up for Lent since I was a kid though. Don't think I'd get away with it. I'll just have to arrange to drive everywhere.

Giraffeski · 02/03/2014 21:09

YY Tigsy, what an amazing excuse! I shall definitely use that one!
Mind you, I've never been bothered if people speculate, let them think what they like! People love guessing if women are pregnant, gives them a chance to say 'aha, I knew it!' When you finally reveal!

RandomInternetStranger · 02/03/2014 21:42

By the way I've just learnt the hard way that Pregnacare Max is in Tescos for £19.45, Sainsburys for £15 and 3 for 2 at the moment and Amazon for £11! Angry Bloody Tescos! Very tempted to ring and yell at them!

Nessalina · 02/03/2014 22:33

How annoying!!! If you've not used them yet Random you can just return them? I always forget you can return stuff to supermarkets, but you totally can if you have your receipt!

I got a total bargain with a voucher in Boots today - I may even start a thread to spread the word!! £24.50 worth of goodies for £9.50 Shock

Tigsy - you are a genius! I salute you Grin That excuse will save my bacon this weekend! Visiting parents and seeing some old friends, last time I was there I may have rather cleaned my folks out of red wine Blush so not sure 'I don't fancy it' will cut it!!
I do give up stuff for Lent on occasion so I reckon I can pull it off!

Sad got a right weird pain on my right hand side today. Cant seem to stretch out.

Work is gonna be fun today Hmm

Laura1410 · 03/03/2014 07:42

Just got my BFP this morning! So thought I would join! Only had my implant removed on 6th feb so can't believe I'm pregnant already! Feeling so tired but very excited that my ds is going to be a big brother.

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 03/03/2014 08:21

Congratulations laura! And welcome.

I have a few pains too winter. Had similar things during first pregnancy which is stopping me freak out about them.

Feeling a bit nauseous this morning but haven't been hit with the tiredness yet. Hope it doesn't come really but you always feel slightly happier if you have lots of symptoms i think. Or that could just be my crazy paranoid self.

Tigsy · 03/03/2014 08:45

Glad to be of help. Smile
Congratulations Laura! That was quick work!

Greenstone · 03/03/2014 10:40

Morning everyone, and hi and congrats to all who've joined since I last posted :)

It's still so eaaaarly! DH and I are wondering how we're going to last until 12 weeks should we be lucky enough to make it that far. Haven't told anyone else yet and will try to hold out as long as we can. My family knows we're ttc I think and nobody will be overly surprised. (But in the meantime: Tigsy your Lent excuse is brilliant and I'll be stealing it for sure!) When we found out I was pregnant with my first it was a huge surprise and we were so tickled and thrilled we told family and a few friends straight away. We were a bit naïve about the whole thing in a way -- had no idea how common miscarriages and other problems are.

Anyway, don't want to lead this thread into freak-out territory. It's a nice sunny morning here. It's such a relief to see the sun after so much bad weather.

I slept like shite last night so I'm on the caffeine this morning Blush Haven't been feeling too bad at all this weekend but I have definitely been feeling that wiped exhaustion. I worked out (through neurotic searching back over old emails to friends; how sad am I?) that I didn't start feeling grim with DC1 until about 6 weeks.

RandomInternetStranger · 03/03/2014 11:14

is weird but the one thing I'm craving more than anything is caffeine! I freaked myself out researching why it's not recommended so haven't given in yet but literally all I can think of is coke or tea. When I got my BFP I gave up cigarettes, alcohol, junk food, sugary drinks, sweets, white bread & rice, etc and started on water, fruit, veg, brown rice & veg, cut down sugar, salt & everything else & switched to healthy stuff but the only thing driving me nuts is the caffeine. I'll have no problem staying awake through the night when munchkin arrives as I'll just be on a caffeine binge making up for the last 8 months! Grin

Greenstone · 03/03/2014 12:14

Random were you a smoker before? Can't imagine how hard it must be to give up cigarettes, you should be very proud of yourself.

I'm just going to cut down on caffeine, not cut it out completely. I don't drink loads but the morning cup is one of my greatest pleasures in life! It's the one thing I'd truly obsess over so just going to try to stay realistic. (And hope that pregnancy nausea turns me right off it soon!)

Tigsy 12 hour shifts -- poor you! Are you a medical professional?

Tigsy · 03/03/2014 12:56

Greenstone yes am a doctor so unsociable hours is par for the course unfortunately Sad
I know what you mean about it being so early too. Desperately trying not to get over-excited but it's so hard. Still undecided about when will be best to tell close family/friends. I was thinking of telling my parents at the end of next week, but now wondering about holding out until Mother's Day.

Random I'm with you on missing the caffeine. Used to drink so much diet coke and coffee, that I think I'm going to struggle! Had a massive headache last night and I'm sure it was probably caffeine withdrawal!

Tigsy · 03/03/2014 12:57

I must confess though- was out shopping this morning and gave in NAND bought a pregnancy journal. I was totally overwhelmed going into mother are though!

Greenstone · 03/03/2014 14:22

That's lovely Tigsy. A journal is a great first foray into this mad new world :)

It's DH's birthday and I'm at home now (work part-time) making a cake in stages. To continue the caffeine theme it has feckloads of cocoa and dark chocolate in it. And sugar, of course. He'll just have to eat it all himself. Blah.

HRMumness · 03/03/2014 14:27

Hi all, Another one signing in, due on the 12th November. Just got my BFP this morning. I got a BFN on a first response yesterday, promised myself I wouldn't use the other one in the pack until Wednesday, so decided to use on the the far too many OPKs I have in the cupboard. That turned up positive, so decided to try the first response again and got a BFP.

Only third month of trying for #2 so feel relieved, especially as I had a something go awry in the first month, think it was a chemical as I felt pregnant, then had an 11 day period Sad which never happens.

Told DH and parents, plus my local Mum friends who I'm close to (All of us are hoping to have #2 this year). Told DD1 too but as she is only 19mo it just went over her head. I keep telling her she is always going to be my #1.

HRMumness · 03/03/2014 14:28

Oh, not giving up caffeine but going to cut down again now. Have already bought some rooibois tea to drink instead.

RandomInternetStranger · 03/03/2014 14:35

I find this point in pregnancy really frustrating. I know I'm pregnant but I can't revel in it, show off the bump, talk about it, use my doppler, shop for it, etc etc. I want my scan pic, a bump, to feel kicks...! Going to be another like 10 weeks before I'm like that. Spose that gives me an incentive of 10 weeks to get as much prep as possible done before then so I can sit back and stuff my face and just enjoy it. Grin

Tigsy · 03/03/2014 14:56

Congratulations and welcome HRMumness

Greenstone I've just been making chocolate brownies and ate a fair amount of chocolate in the process!

Random I know what you mean. Very frustrating. Thought the 2ww waiting was bad enough but this is worse!
