Hi all, I have my BFP and due 30th October. It's my third baby and was 2 weeks late with the last two so bound to be November.

Anybody else for November yet? I know it's very very early :)

BatCave · 01/03/2014 15:30

I'm embracing pregnancy, have just had a nap and kids are getting Dolmio for tea Grin

Hopeful83 · 01/03/2014 16:34

Congratulations everyone! Can I join please? Got my BFP this morning, due 2nd November :) It's my first so I'm very excited, nervous and also trying not to get too excited just in case. Does anyone know when you should contact the doctor?

Tigsy · 01/03/2014 16:39

Yes it's my first too! I thought the awful waiting part was over (waiting in the 2ww) but it feels like it has just begun again. Just want the next few weeks to roll on so I can feel a bit more confident that this bean will want to stick around!

Tigsy · 01/03/2014 16:41

Has anyone told close family/friends yet? I'm going to try and hold out a few weeks but it's so hard! I'm hoping some of the excitement will wear off in a few days and it won't be so much constantly on my mind. Have got virtually nothing done at work today as can't concentrate on anything else!

RandomInternetStranger · 01/03/2014 16:51

I've told everyone close or who I trust or who isn't connected to those I don't want finding out yet. I'm waiting to tell DD and officials till 12 weeks.

Welcome newbs! Smile

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 01/03/2014 20:52

Hi, congratulations everyone. Can I join? Got BFP this morning. Not really sure about date but going for Nov 4th.
Have spent all afternoon with a migraine and still feel really nauseous.

hopeful re contacting doctor - just do it as soon as. Appointments take a while to come around. Think you are supposed to have had booking appointment by week 10 at latest. Check your local nhs site though as it may be possible to self-refer to maternity unit so you don't need to bother with GP.

Giraffeski · 01/03/2014 22:47

I've told my parents and a few close friends, as I would want their support if the worst happens.
I'm sure everything will be fine although I had a chemical pregnancy last month so fingers crossed for this one..

WinterLover · 02/03/2014 06:06

Im desperate to tell my mum but my SIL is due to have their first baby induced next week so really don't want to take that away from them Grin

BatCave · 02/03/2014 07:29

I haven't told my mum, and we haven't told MIL yet, for some reason quite nervous about their reactions - MIL provides our childcare atm.

My sister is due any day. She was the first I told and is super excited! But like you I don't want to take anything away from her. I'm so excited about meeting her baby though!!!! I don't know how I'm going to manage the emotions though,I m already a hormonal wreck!

Also on chicken pox watch here, after kids were exposed last weekend, even though I'm sure I've had it, there's always that little part of you that doubts it ;) and we go on holiday tomorrow Smile

WinterLover · 02/03/2014 08:47

I'm starting to get fretty. There are so many things I need to sort at home. I know ive got 7-8 months (Ds was premature, he had no more room to grow inside me) but im looking around and I have no idea where to start.

Im really worried about money, if I ring Maternity allowance helpline will they be able to offer advice?

DP has said he'll try to find a job but he's really not ready for going back to work.

Nessalina · 02/03/2014 08:56

We haven't told anyone. Last time we told quite a lot of people, especially as the 12 week scan got closer and we felt more secure, but that meant when it went wrong, we felt quite exposed, and like we were letting people down Sad
But I do feel like it might BURST! It's such good news that it's like I want to tell the world. I think I'm just going to tell one of my two best friends so I don't explode. Then roll on 12 weeks! Grin

LittleMissSunshine33 · 02/03/2014 09:18

Hi everyone I thought to myself this morning that I'd like to see it in writing so POA clear blue stick which said 'Not Pregnant'! But both my FRERs have a faint line! Don't know what to think feel so upset!

Nessalina · 02/03/2014 12:11

Don't worry just yet, the FRERs are much more sensitive than the CBs, you can get a BFP on them a good 4-5 days before you'd see one on a CB. Give it two days, then do a CB with FMU I reckon. I had to have a dark line on FRER before CB showed pregnant!

Tigsy · 02/03/2014 12:21

As Nessalina said don't worry, it's probably just a bit too early! Give it a couple of days and re-test!

LittleMissSunshine33 · 02/03/2014 12:24

Thank you Ness! I feel awful I've just done a Tesco own one and very faint line there, I have read that CB aren't as sensitive but thought with missed period it would have shown by now!
Hope everyone else has had a good weekend! Have found a lovely nursery I'd like (all being well)! Smile

LittleMissSunshine33 · 02/03/2014 12:25

Thanks Tigsy! I'm sure I will go to Asda on my lunch break tomorrow and buy every single brand lol! I have read that is very rare to get a false positive but false negatives are common.

Nessalina · 02/03/2014 12:38

It's true, even if you've missed a period it might just be that the egg took longer to implant so your HCG levels are a little lower than expected at the minute - that's pretty common Smile

LittleMissSunshine33 · 02/03/2014 13:27

Thank you I'm definitely feeling better than this morning. Still can't stop myself looking at baby names! Anyone else thinking yet??

Nessalina · 02/03/2014 13:50

Ummm, yeah Blush I have a list on my phone that I keep updating! Mostly girls names that appeal, I'm short on boy names!

RandomInternetStranger · 02/03/2014 15:06

I've got my boy name already. I think! Jackson David or Jack David. Have no idea what I'd call a girl! Been making a shortlist on my app but every time I relook at it I have gone off them.

Have started taking photos to make a stop motion clip later to see me morph into a whale. And took a photo for the grand announcement when I make it!

Got DD her "I'm going to be a big sister" t-shirt - can't wait to give it to her but going to be a good month yet!! Impatient!! Also got a few birds & the bees books and am keeping a diary of the pg for her. She's nearly 8 so it's actually perfect timing to teach her all about it now and watch it happening in real life! Smile

RandomInternetStranger · 02/03/2014 17:15

by the way if you are switching to decaf tea don't get the pg tips one, go for clipper. PG Tips and a lot of other everyday brands use carcinogenic chemicals to remover the caffeine whereas Clipper and a few other more expensive and less readily available ones use a natural CO2 method. Smile

BatCave · 02/03/2014 17:57

Goodness Random, really? I used to drink loads of tetley (never pg tips, didn't like the taste) is that the same? I've been drinking a lot of chamomile recently anyway so will probably stick to that, but might get some clipper in that case.

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 02/03/2014 18:29

God I drink loads of decaf. Will have to change brands.

Sunshine you are making me think I should do a second test. Do most people do more than one?

I lied to my friend today. She asked if I was pregnant yet and I said no. I feel a bit bad but just don't want to tempt fate. Last time I felt quite sure about everything - don't feel so confident this time for some reason.

DP and I never agree on names so I am not even going to go there until nearer the time. We couldn't decide on DD's name and he still isn't that keen on it. Although I have secretly been thinking of ones which I like - but they will almost definitely be vetoed.

LittleMissSunshine33 · 02/03/2014 19:18

Random that's a nice name! I don't drink decaf but am not having coffee am having tea only one a day ... All these do' sand don't a are making my brain ache (doesn't take much!)

Wil I've done four tests so far as I don't seem to have much HCG as all my lines are very faint!

Giraffeski · 02/03/2014 19:46

Winterlover- I have been nesting all weekend according to DP- we needed to swap the children's bedrooms as DD1 (11 in March) had the biggest room and we will need the two littlest to share as we can't move to a bigger house for another year at least I don't think. So persuaded DD1 to swap under the guise that she would find it easier to keep tidy and we would do up her bedroom nicely for her. But moving everything, decluttering DD's stuff ruthlessly has literally taken ALL energy and all weekend and now I can't even be arsed to cook so we are having a Chinese for tea!
SIX BINBAGS, PEOPLE!
