Hi all, I have my BFP and due 30th October. It's my third baby and was 2 weeks late with the last two so bound to be November.

Anybody else for November yet? I know it's very very early :)

Good luck everyone at scans today will be thinking of you all x

Annarose2014 · 18/03/2014 10:11

I thought you could have Lemsip, just not iboprofen?

Put it this way, if i get sick I'm bloody having a Lemsip!!!

Misslaughalot · 18/03/2014 10:16

No, Lemsip isn't considered safe during pregnancy because it contains phenylephrine which is the decongestant I think.

Paracetamol is ok, though. A couple of those with a hot lemon squash?

edwardcullensotherwoman · 18/03/2014 10:46

Crazies My DH and me are November babies too!
Glad to see you've had a good week Random , hopefully you'll have a nice week at your parents' Smile
I feel your pain Nessalina - everyone in my house has had a cold over the past month, I got it just after my BFP! Gutted as I can't use throat spray to numb the pain (my only symtom of the cold - typical!) Pharmacist said strepsils are ok though. Hot squash with a drop of honey for your throat, and some paracetamol for pain/temp.

While I'm here, may I please have a moan? DH just glazed over last night (although he'd had a traumatic afternoon at the opticians, bless him). I seem to have SPD/PGP already, my boobs are killing me, I'm mega tired, really hungry but don't fancy anything because I feel so sick. Yesterday and today I'm feeling very pregnant, my stomach is really bloated and I just feel rubbish. I'm still wondering if there's a possibility of being further along than I think (DH doesn't think so), but I'm scared to jinx it by ringing for a booking appointment if I am only 6 weeks Confused

Scan went well :D I saw my little one and the little flicker which is the heart beat :) also fpund out my uterus is retroverted. they're not sure why I'm spotting though. But I'm just so so happy all is Ok for now. Ninja measured 6+ 4 which is about right as I wasn't sure if I was 6+4 or 5. So massive sigh of relief and I'm now letting myself feel all excited :D won't feel right til 12 weeks though.

Yay Alita7!!!

Annarose2014 · 18/03/2014 11:30

edwardcullen you may not be any further than 6 weeks, my symptoms started at 5 weeks and went from 0 -> 1000 immediately. My boobs have been an utter torment, I'm eating like a ravenous cannibal, my stomach can't be empty for even a couple of hours without feeling sick, and am utterly shattered, yawning in peoples faces by midday.

I'm 7 weeks and am already heartily weary of it all. Am trying to get used to it though as it ain't going away any time soon. I've a day off, so I'm going to get out in the fresh air today and try to clear some of the grottiness.

Brilliant news alita Grin is DH being a bit more sympathetic towards your tiredness yet? I noticed your thread (I think it was yours, forgive me if I'm mistaken!) the other day.
Annarose sorry to hear you're feeling rubbish too, but it's reassuring. I don't want to have to move over to the October thread, I quite like it here! Also, I have a ticket to see Miranda live in mid October, don't want to miss it!
Am I right in thinking you've been wondering about twins? My mum suggested the same to me when I told her about the BFP (it was about 8 days before AF was due on a Wilko cheapy test)

edwardcullensotherwoman · 18/03/2014 12:01

Since looking in the mirror this morning I have another symptom to add to the list - crap hair! I normally wash it every 3 days, but I can get away with 4 before it starts looking manky. I washed it Sunday and it looks hideous already! Great Hmm

alita7 · 18/03/2014 12:08

Yes thanks Edward Cullen he's trying :p I also have bad hair :p

WinterLover · 18/03/2014 12:24

Scan went well. Little heartbeat flickering away Grin dated aabout right 7 weeks.

Uterus tips back, which was never pointed out last time.

No obvious signs for pains, but all is good Grin roll on 12 week scan.

MrsWombat · 18/03/2014 12:43

Very happy for your scan results, Winter and Alita. Grin

PosyFossilsShoes · 18/03/2014 12:47

Good news on the scans :)

I've got crap hair too! And spots! When people said "pregnancy makes you look youthful" I didn't think they meant adolescent!

MrsCuppa · 18/03/2014 12:48

Glad your scans have gone well alita and WinterLover - I haven't written very much on here but following the thread.
I am now 6+3 and feeling like death warmed up since 6 weeks. Have been sick this morning and have a throbbing headache to match. This is my first pregnancy and we haven't told anyone but I think I will have to tell work soon especially if I have to stay home! Has anyone else told work?

ladydolly · 18/03/2014 12:52

Yaywinter!!

Greenstone · 18/03/2014 13:04

Hi everyone, delighted that the scans have gone well!

Wanted to also offer my thoughts to those who have miscarried on the thread since I last posted Flowers so very sorry.

For those with colds: those soluble vitamin C tabs in some warm water work astonishingly well.

6+4 here with crap skin too but that's nothing new for me sadly. No actual puking yet but there's definite nausea at certain times of the day and lots of bloating. Re. food, I don't feel like eating anything, nothing appeals, but I'm still eating. Had a ridiculous amount of carbs yesterday. ugh.

Just rang to make my GP appointment, I'll be almost 8 weeks.

Hope everyone has a good week.

DilysMoon · 18/03/2014 13:44

Wonderful news about your scans alita and Winter!

I've got a scan on 2nd April when I'll be 7+1, I had early scans with my 2DC's because of previous MCs so they're doing the same this time although not as early and often apparently. Pleased I've got a scan but wish it was sooner!

Am 5w today and still not many symptoms apart from general tiredness and weeing A LOT and I'm definitely bigger round the middle I've had to loosen 2 belt notches since I found out. Have occasional pangs of mild nausea but not much. I'm sure symptoms didn't kick in properly till about 6 weeks in my previous pgs but am a bit nervous all the same, I don't think I'll be happy until I'm throwing up :)

Annarose2014 · 18/03/2014 14:00

Yes edwardcullen I have twins suspicions. May be groundless but I do wonder. I went to the supermarket and halfway through I ground to a halt! Have had to go back to bed!

edwardcullensotherwoman · 18/03/2014 14:26

Great news winter Grin

Greenstone I'm on a carb-fest too, not good since I'm supposed to be doing WW (obviously haven't told them so trying to keep up the facade)

Oh you poor ting Anna , I remember doing the Christmas shop at 11pm 2 days before CHristmas when expecting DD - I was 9 weeks and it was hell ! I was leaning on the trolley most of the way round and spent the next day in bed! Did you say if you have a scan booked yet?

alita7 · 18/03/2014 14:27

That's great winter :) Ahhh I'm so relieved!

One thing that bothered me was the amount of miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy posters up in the waiting room, yes people that experience it need to know the support they can get, but I found it a bit thoughtless to have them up where everyone nervously waits for their scans to see if things are ok, it definitely made me worry more!

WinterLover · 18/03/2014 14:30

I agree there was 'garden of remembrance' leaflets on every seat! ridiculous and thoughtless really.

Its just sunk in that im actually pregnant and that I'll have to tell family (who will be iver the moon) and work (who will be less than impressed)

Annarose2014 · 18/03/2014 14:48

No news of a scan yet. Around these parts its typically btw 12-16 weeks for 1st one!
