November 2014 - anybody yet?

Hi all, I have my BFP and due 30th October. It's my third baby and was 2 weeks late with the last two so bound to be November.

Anybody else for November yet? I know it's very very early :)

The epu phoned this morning and I've got a scan booked for the 27th, a week on Thurs. It's a bit of a wait, but the nurse said I was to just go in if anything changed and they would fit me in so I'm feeling vaguely reassured. I'll be about 6+6 then, so hoping they'll be able to see a heartbeat by then, all being well. DH is away for the scan next week but I'm just pleased to have one sorted! The spotting, fingers crossed, hasn't appeared since last night. I hope it just goes away for everyone!!

Good luck for those of you with scans tomorrow. I hope all goes well and you come away feeling reassured. It's such a funny time in the lead up to 12 weeks, I never realised how much worry it caused waiting for that magic date to come and go!

Re 12 week scans. Are they normally booked after your booking in appointment or before? I'll be 9+5 at booking in so I'm worried about the scan being late!

The nausea some of you are dealing with sounds awful. For those with previous pregnancies, does it disappear later on for most people?

Barmy- yes it does disappear, it's just utterly miserable while it lasts!

Thanks Giraffeski! I've only had slight signs of it so far, so I'm hoping it doesn't turn into much! Some of what people are talking about on here sounds awful!

Sickness varies so much person to person and even pregnancy to pregnancy! Last time I only started getting nauseous at 8weeks, threw up 5 or 6 times, but felt awful constantly. Went away at 14 weeks.
This time it's hit me earlier - 6 weeks today! Not too bad though, just discomfort really, don't feel like I'm likely to chuck up... Yet!

Nessalina, you missed me... 11th November I think!
Feeling so sick at the moment with a horrible cough to go with it. I thought you were meant to be constipated but I have the opposite problem (sorry tmi), anyone else?
My baby is 2 today, so excited to be pregnant again, just hope it's all ok...

Yeah, I've had a week of constipation, now I'm having a week of the runs!

Barmy I'm glad you're feeling a bit reassured, was thinking about you today that's great about the scan next week and hopefully you'll feel better then.

For those of you asking about nausea, I'm 15 weeks and have just started going days at a time without feeling nauseas - I've not actually been sick at all, I've been very lucky, but had lots of nausea and it's just started lifting last week. Hope that makes some of you feel a bit better x

I haven't had many symptoms so far (5+3 today I believe) but I didn't with DD so wasn't too bothered. However today I really ache, like period type aches. I hope it's just things starting to stretch, it's amazing how I've forgotten everything from when I was pg with DD exactly 2 years ago.

It's amazing how many of your are having scans soon too! Hoping for good news for all of you who have worries. These early days are so hard.

Wow that thread is impressive and still a couple of weeks of newbies to come! This thread is already moving so quickly by the end of the month it'll be insane!

I think I've worked out this anxiety thing - last week I had a very quiet week, not much happening, didn't see many people or speak to many, a lot of very quiet days and I was a mess. The last few days I've been quite busy, lots of appointments and meetings, seeing friends, school events for DD, looking after the neighbour's dogs etc and I felt great. Quiet day again today and instant nosedive. I think it's the quiet that is sending me nuts, or rather having time alone to think and let the anxiety kick in. If I'm busy or out I don't have as much of a chance (still a bit wobbly but nowhere near as bad). Luckily the rest of the week is pretty busy so hopefully will be OK. Next week is another quiet one so going to spend the week with my parents and ward it off hopefully!

Glad you're feeling better random! It does look like November's a very popular month! :)

I can't decide what I'm thinking this time round. With DD I always knew she was fine, even when others were worrying I just knew she was absolutely fine. With the 4 mcs I knew something was wrong and wasn't surprised when it ended, though still gutted, but with this one I don't know. I really can't tell. It's almost like things are not completely ok, but we'll all survive and be OKish in the end. I really want an early scan to tell me one way or other if things are OK, think I may book in next week some time for a sneaky peak.

Random i think that sounds a good idea.

I had pnd after DS and by far the worst days was when I was on my own. I love having time on my own with him but hated the quiet if that makes sense.

Grrr full of cold, scared about scan today and I've totally gone off drinking tea

I have the dreaded not being able to sleep thing again, a days teaching is going to be a struggle! How are you other teachers coping? I really wanted to leave school at a decent time yesterday but the culture in our place is you work 8 til 6 (not counting the hours at home!) Just not sure how much longer I can keep this up, am soooooo tired!

anyone else having seriously weird dreams?! Don't know whether to tell you all about this one its a bit graphic but quite strange/funny :p

Polkadotscarf, i'm a teacher too...felt so sick yesterday and it's hard having to teach and be enthusiastic when you feel tired and sick..especially when your colleagues don't know yet..try and go home on time. I am working through lunch/frees to minimise what I take home as i just fall asleep when I get home, after playing with my gorgeous ds!
