Hi all, I have my BFP and due 30th October. It's my third baby and was 2 weeks late with the last two so bound to be November.

Anybody else for November yet? I know it's very very early :)

Wow this thread moves fast!

Had a lovely weekend telling parents and my brother, made it all seem more real.

Went to the drs yesterday to tell them, was very quick but did get prescribed a higher dose of folic acid because of my high BMI. Just got to sit back and wait for my booking appt and scan date

Have a close friends hen this weekend, not sure how I'm going get through a trip to a winery and dinner without people sussing (tried the antibiotic trick with ds and everyone guessed!)

ladydolly · 18/03/2014 16:02

I'm going away this weekend with 3 couples, one with kids, one trying, one pregnant - I feel like they're all going to be on to me!

I'm going to tell them I'm off the booze because I'm training for a half marathon, they know I'm into running and one of them quit drinking for a marathon so here's hoping they'll buy it. Although they may wonder why I'm getting fatter not thinner from all the 'training'!

Just found out am due 15 Nov (according to mumsnet calendar) with DC2. So far all that's noticeable is sore/swelling boobs. Does anyone else get phantom flutterings which feel a bit like the kicks that come much much later?! Must be my imagination (or wind!)

Annarose2014 · 18/03/2014 16:41

I really need to stay off Google. The only levels I have are Day 25 after period bloods. My progesterone was 78.6.

Seemed very high, so my curiosity got the better of me, and the only other example I've found on the internet of anyone with prog levels in the '70's that early was a woman who had triplets!!!! Shock

NoooooOOOOOOooooOO!!!!

MabelMay · 18/03/2014 17:45

alita and winter - that's brilliant!

I've also had some good news today. Having thought my pregnancy was coming to an end over the weekend, with lots of tissue and goop coming out in knickers and toilet, had bloods taken yesterday and doctor called today to say hormone levels are v high and everything looks great and I'm definitely still pregnant etc etc. (am so paranoid after history of MCs) - so I'm delighted today. Know I'm not out the woods yet but at least can try and enjoy being PG a bit more now (only 6+4).
Scan next week, given MC history.

Healthy baby vibes to you all. Smile

Nessalina · 18/03/2014 18:23

Great news all round! Grin
Mabel, alita & Winter - you must be so relieved Smile
Man, it's 6 weeks today til my 12 week scan, there's no way I can wait that long!! Confused
I feel like absolute crap today. Killer sore throat, snot everywhere!! I think my immune system has been compromised!!! Shock

barmybunting · 18/03/2014 18:23

Brilliant news alita, winter and Mabel! I'm delighted to see all of your news. Mabel fingers crossed for that scan next week!

I have been lucky to escape any real symptoms until this week, but yesterday the tiredness hit and has continued today combined with nausea. My poor class have had a very grouchy teacher all day, and it's only Tuesday!

Did someone mention ginger sucky sweets? It's prob one of the few options when teaching a lesson so I'm off to get some. Where do you get them from?

Has anyone told work yet? I've had to tell them I've got a hospital appointment next week due to early scan, but haven't said why but I think I'll have to say after half term to get the time off for my 12 week scan. Will also need to say I want to leave over the summer, provided all goes well at 12 week scan. I'm dreading telling them as I've only just taken over the class full time this term on mat leave cover!

CraziesTogether · 18/03/2014 18:40

Good news all round today ladies.

Our scan went well too, comfirmed I am 7+1 at 11mm long and a heart beating away! The relief!

Also spoke with a fabulous midwife who have me a biology lesson about hormones and pain - wouldn't it be great if we could get this kind of info and reassurance pre booking appointments without a 'scare'.

Glad to hear everyone is doing well. I am
Ok with cramps now, it's for a good cause :)

Edwardcullun- a household full of scorpions! Myself and DH think it's going to be entertaining.

CraziesTogether · 18/03/2014 18:42

Barmy - I just told work it was an investigatory procedure use to stomach trouble....not technically a lie! I think they him I have bowel trouble which isn't far wrong ;)

AveryJessup · 18/03/2014 19:44

Congrats on the positive scans Mabel, alita and winter. So reassuring to see the heartbeat and everything going according to plan.

I have a rotten cold too right now. Our little viral vector, DS, brought it home from preschool as usual! I do not know how I'm going to stay germ-free for the rest of this pregnancy. My biggest fear is getting some D&V horror show at some point because a.) it's dangerous in pregnancy and b.) it's just vile!! Toddlers are just little germ machines. Not an issue for me first time around so have just realized will have to be careful this time.

I can't get Lemsip here in the US so a friend gave me a recipe for a holistic version that also happens to be sage in pregnancy - had some last night and it really helped my congestion.

Got my 8 week scan on March 31st... can't wait...!

AveryJessup · 18/03/2014 19:45

PosyFossilsShoes · 18/03/2014 20:07

barmy - I got some ginger chewy sweets (you can suck them) from Holland & Barrett today.

I also got other sucky sweets, vitamin B6 and ginger capsules. I may as well have painted "desperate early preggy woman looking for old wives tales home remedies for morning sickness" on my forehead.

nickiswiss · 18/03/2014 20:30

Glad to hear the scans went well girls...Smile
Counting weeks down til my scan, had blood test today to check if i'm immune to chicken pox so I don't have to panic if/when ds gets it. Told someone at work today, feeling more excited...had to tell her as if been retching all morning!
Ds ill again, and feeling shattered again with this cough...early night I think!Zzzz

barmybunting · 18/03/2014 21:21

Thanks Posy and Crazies. I'm glad your scan went well today Crazies!

I'm nodding in agreement to the I'll try anything to avoid feeling sick comment! I think most of us will be joining you over the next few weeks Smile .

Tomorrow's Friday, right? I've had enough of this week already!

Polkadotscarf · 18/03/2014 21:25

I called the midwife centre today and earliest appointment is in just under three weeks when I will be 9+1 is this quite late for the initial visit? My positive thinking is that everything else will then seem quick as the blood tests are done some where else and the scan at another place...the joy of living in a small town!
Hoorah for your positive scans today! Grin

Polkadotscarf · 18/03/2014 21:26

I did manage to leave school at five this pm and slept all evening snuggled up with the dog! Bliss and much needed!

alita7 · 18/03/2014 21:44

Yay to crazies and Mabel! Good to know all our scans/ tests went well! Mabel good luck for your scan!

Ahhh Great now I am enjoying pregnancy, well as far as I can with all this nausea and tiredness. Bring on another double shift tomorrow (so I can have the weekend off).

It suddenly all feels so real now I've seen him/ her!

Anyone heard of the bicarbonate of soda gender text? I really want to try it :p

RandomInternetStranger · 18/03/2014 22:27

Yay for good scans! Got my letter from the hospital today and I've got my 12 week one booked for the 24th April (at nearly 13 weeks) and there's no way I can wait that long so going to book in for a private one.

Someone mentioned SPD? (Sorry, reading this on the app on my phone and it's not great!) I had that with DD but quite severely and I was in a wheelchair at the end. I found constant gentle movement helped. I was put on bed rest for 3 months but that was agonising so I ignored it to be honest. I hired equipment from the Red Cross which was a god send! Also got a belt from the physio dept at the hospital which was good. The good news is the majority of it disappears immediate after the birth. Touch wood I've not had any twinges yet so fingers crossed I can escape it this time!

I've actually noticed my hair looks amazing lately and my skin is better and my nails for the first time in my life are incredible! With DD it was the opposite. Everything with DD was the opposite so I'm convinced this is a boy! I've heard an old wives tale that girls steal your beauty whilst with boys you look better. We'll see!

I seem to get a cold every night but other than that I feel OK. Smile

Giraffeski · 18/03/2014 22:57

Oh well by that theory I'm definitely having DD3 then, my face is covered in spots and my hair looks appalling. Lank and shit.

edwardcullensotherwoman · 18/03/2014 23:21

yay for food news crazies ! I agree, housefull of Scorpios will be interesting! Feel sorry for Ds and DD already!

That was me with spd random ,fx you've escaped this time! I had it mildly for the last 10 weeks or so with DD, so dreading what this one will be like. it seems to have settled a bit today though thankfully. I was on my feet Friday from 2 until about midnight, and then Saturday all day (kids party) so that probably didn't help. Thanks for the tips, I'll remember them for future reference Grin

edwardcullensotherwoman · 18/03/2014 23:23

Good news even! sorry, using the app on my phone is quite difficult!
Same here giraffes - I'm more beast than beauty this week Grin

RandomInternetStranger · 19/03/2014 00:18

7+3 and I just found a heartbeat with the doppler! Feeling much more real now and feeling far more confident now! Yay! Grin

edwardcullensotherwoman · 19/03/2014 05:30

Wow thats good random ! I think insomnia has kicked in early Sad DD(21mo) woke over half an hour ago needing a nappy change and her dummy. she's now snoozing away (as is DH with his extra loud snoring Envy ) and I'm now wide awake Hmm Hmm

MrsWombat · 19/03/2014 05:58

Random - what Doppler do you have? They were silly money 6 years ago when I had my first, but there's one on amazon for £20 with good reviews.

Greenstone · 19/03/2014 07:36

Bloody hell. I've a cystic spot on my chin the size of Jupiter. ARGH!
