Hi all, I have my BFP and due 30th October. It's my third baby and was 2 weeks late with the last two so bound to be November.

Anybody else for November yet? I know it's very very early :)

Oh dear, I fear I may have posted a little too soon. Although I have had + first response tests, the internet cheapies are negative - not even an evaporation line. I am preparing myself for another loss, but I really hope I just have a slow implanter or something. I am 15 dpo today, so really only one or two days late.

Did anyone else have faint lines for a few days? Of course I am now very paranoid and unable to relax.

I don't have many symptoms either, mainly just a metallic taste in my mouth and everything smells bad. A fair amount of cramping too, which although I know can be normal, also feels like AF coming on Sad

You'd think I'd know by now that anything can happen : this will be baby number 6 if all goes well, and since number five I've had three losses. However, the losses all had fairly strong symptoms at the beginning,so I just can't rely on past experience.

Random, I am already feeling very hungry too. I have recently lost weight, but I reckon it will all be back on in a couple of weeks at this rate!

Tigsy · 14/03/2014 23:39

Huftydufty when was AF due? Don't worry I got my BFP on first response and didn't have anything on ICs until about 5 days later. Even though they claim to be ultra sensitive, I don't think they are at all.
Test in a few days and you'll probably see something start to appear.

Random I've been eating like a pig today. Just wolfed Dominos for dinner. Then I wonder why I'm feeling sick....

huftydufty · 15/03/2014 00:09

Tigsy, Af was due either Thursday or Friday, and it is now Saturday (I am in Australia).

I am having some pretty severe cramps this morning, but I have had them early in pregnancy before which seems quite normal. The metallic taste is really strong today too.

I guess it is jut a case of wait and see.

Giraffeski · 15/03/2014 02:48

Well.
I went to bed at 7.15pm, haha.
But that bit me on the arse as I just had to get up and go downstairs and make myself a ham sandwich with a full ramekin of pickled onions.
DP next to me in bed complaining about me crunching the pickles and I complaining that they aren't vinegary enoughGrin
Looks like my lack of symptoms didn't last so long!

theduchesse · 15/03/2014 05:55

Hi ladies can I join? I first got my bfp last Saturday but it was so faint it was possible I was making it up. Have tested pretty much every day this week and the line is very slowly getting darker so I've finally plucked up the courage to join. So hufty yes it can take ages for your hcg to rise at the start to be reliable on a test. My lines are often barely there, squint to find them in the morning but ok in the afternoon (but still faint).

My stats are dc2 due nov 15th ish.

Nessalina · 15/03/2014 07:20

Congrats duchesse! Smile
Giraffe, I did just that the other day! Except I went to bed at 8 and woke up at 5 Confused lol. It's so hard not to give in to the sleepy!!
hufty - I agree with Tigs, those ICs are so much less powerful than FRs, you have to give it some time. If you're worried, get another FRER and try with FMU tomorrow?

Tigsy · 15/03/2014 07:27

Congratulations and welcome duchesse.

The tiredness has definitely given way to insomnia for me. We were meant to be having a lie-in today but I was wide awake before 7!

Only 2 weeks until early scan though and hopefully being able to tell people! It's been so hard with only DH knowing. Thank goodness for this place and all of you to share things with....

Anyone got anything excited planned for the weekend? I'm off to visit and stay with a friend- going to be hard keeping it from her but at least I've got the lent excuse still in play!

pinkgirlythoughts · 15/03/2014 07:58

Tigsy, I'm going shopping with my sister today, who's recently told the family she's pregnant with DC1, due about 6-7 weeks ahead of me. Of course, I imagine there'll be lots of baby talk today, so it'll be hard for me not to say anything!

Nessalina · 15/03/2014 08:27

Aww Pink! Your sisters going to be so excited when she finds out you're preggers too! Grin

RecklessLadybird · 15/03/2014 08:28

Good morning, I was wide awake before 7 too! Don't even have plans for today...
A few weeks ago we bought a new filter coffee machine as I always loved my espresso. The worst thing about pregnancy so far for me is having to limit my coffee. I actually feel guilty having just one small cup now. Trying to replace with decaf, however not sure this is good either, because of all the chemicals apparently they use to remove the caffeine... HmmHmm

pinkgirlythoughts · 15/03/2014 08:53

I hope so, Nessa, was a bit worried about stealing her thunder when I first found out, but I'm going to try and avoid announcing until after 12 weeks, so that it's more separate from her scan, first midwife appointments, etc. We actually have a cousin who is only three weeks younger than my sister, so she knows first hand how ace it is having a cousin close in age!

WinterLover · 15/03/2014 09:09

I thought I was doing really well today. No sickness etc but uts now hit me. I shall be mostly trying to hide my sickness and 'bump' from DSD today...thats gonna be fun

barmybunting · 15/03/2014 10:35

Does anyone else find they just want to wish part of the early stage of pregnancy away to get passed some of the early worry? I've had brown spotting since Tues, but it hasn't changed into anything else and is very slight so I'm still hoping all is ok but it's worrying me! Af would have been due for the last week, so hopefully it's just because of that but I'll be glad when it stops!

DilysMoon · 15/03/2014 11:12

Yes barmy definitely, or at least wishing the time till I see a nice healthy scan! Hope the spotting stops soon.

I did another test this morning as had started worrying as no real symptoms yet apart from needing a wee all the time, reassured that a nice dark line popped up straight away as opposed to the faint one I got last Sunday Smile

BexBoo12 · 15/03/2014 11:56

Hi ladies, do you mind me popping in to say hello? I'm over on September thread, and I just wanted to bob my head in to say congratulations to you all!! Hope you are all feeling ok!!

Bex xx

alita7 · 15/03/2014 12:15

Congratulations duchess!

I can't wait to go baby shopping pink, I've been browsing a tiny bit occasionally! If things went wrong do u think you'd tell your sister? If yes then tell her anyway!
Today I woke up about 50 times to pee in the early hours at one point had awful wind and woke up feeling a little less sick than yesterday. And my boots hurt more.

barmybunting · 15/03/2014 12:40

Thanks Dilsy. Yes, that's exactly what I mean about wanting to reach the scan date. I know what will happen, happens anyway, but reassurance help Smile . Thanks, I'll see what the spotting does and phone to ask for blood tests if it changes as it's too early for a scan. Although I'm a bit worried about it, I'm feeling quite positive and think it'll be ok. I too am still doing more pregnancy tests for reassurance!! Smile

I think part of wanting to get further along is that we haven't told anyone yet, and I'm finding that quite hard when I'm a bit worried. We are telling my parents over mother's day weekend and DH's the following weekend as that's the next time we'll see either of them (My parents live in Scotland and DH's are in Northern Ireland whilst are currently in Lincolnshire due to DH's job). In many ways, with leaving it until 8 odd weeks to tell them, I'd like to have a scan before hand to know things are ok to date despite wanting to tell them now. It's hard to get your head around!

Have you told many people yet?

How are you getting on bexboo? Lovely to see you!

BexBoo12 · 15/03/2014 13:16

Hi lovely Barmy Grin I'm fine thank you how about you? Just tired here at the minute, just getting over a cold so feeling better than I have all week!! Now are things going for you? X

Tigsy · 15/03/2014 13:21

Barmy we're doing that. Decided to tell my Mum on Mother's Day so have booked an early scan, which happened to be the day before. I really wanted to see some confirmation there was something there before we told anyone!

huftydufty · 15/03/2014 15:13

Well my fears have been realised. I should have waited to join the ante natal thread but its been four long years of ttc and I couldn't hold back.

I started bleeding tonight so I guess I had another chemical.

Good luck to you all. I will think of you enjoying your lovely little babies at Christmas. I have much to be grateful for and who knows maybe I will still have a Christmas baby?

Giraffeski · 15/03/2014 15:20

So sorry Hufty, I had a Chem really recently so hopefully you'll get a sticky one really soon xxxThanks

barmybunting · 15/03/2014 15:31

So sorry to hear that hufty, especially after 4 years of ttc. It's terribly hard to make sense of. Thinking of you and hoping you get your Christmas baby very soon!

Bex Glad you are feeling better after the cold. That must feel a bit rubbish when pregnant! How far along are you now? I'm well thanks, keeping everything crossed this little one decides to stay put and counting up to 12 weeks!

Tigsy that early scan sounds like a good idea to me before telling anyone. Well timed for Mother's Day too! How far along will you be then? I'll only be 7 weeks, so thinking it may be too early for a viable scan but am tempted to look around and see what I can find.

Nessalina · 15/03/2014 15:59

Oh hufty, awful news Sad Really sorry to hear that. It's totally understandable that you'd hope for the best, hope to see you back on here soon xx

WinterLover · 15/03/2014 16:22

I really wish I had the money for an early scan. Im on edge all the time, every stabbing pain or pain more than cramping im running to the loo to check.

I don't remember being like this with DS but I did have a scan at 5+3 and 7+3.

DilysMoon · 15/03/2014 16:24

Sorry to hear your news hufty Sad hugs to you, fingers crossed for a Christmas baby x

Hi bex how are things in the September club? My Dc2 is a September baby Smile

barmy we've told my parents and my bf. Wanted to tell bf as her DH was due to have the snip this weekend and I thought it might raise some feelings as no one knew we were ttc and didn't want the option to be gone for them if the op went ahead and me being pg made them have 2nd thoughts. Good thing I did tell as it opened a whole can of worms and the snip is postponed indefinitely!
