Think I will be on here all night. Dh has jsut taken ds out for a couple of hours to friends. I did not tell him I took the castor oil, although it was him who bought it for me yesterday.

YellowFeathers · 06/08/2006 18:48

Where did you get it?
Not that I'm taking it

Local chemist - cost about £1.50

just found this on internet

2-6 Hours after drinking the castor oil, the mother will experience diarrhea and should begin contractions.

Hi girls, just popping on from the Due in July thread at Dreamy Dowler's suggestion, CANNOT BELIEVE I am still waiting to pop, am 40 + 11, was due 26th July, and was a week early with my DS (23 months) so am royally narked that this one is so late.

My sister was due 5 days after me and popped Friday morning so she has beaten me to it! I am due to be induced on Tuesday and it cannot come too quickly. My DH is being as wonderful as possible but we are pretty stressed out with my lack of mobility and discomfort so the sooner this LO is out the better and then I can start moaning about having a newborn instead!

Sticky today isn't it, but they say the week will be fresher which bodes well, the hot weather can get stuffed as far as I'm concerned.

My MIL suggested the Orange Juice and Castor Oil thing, but haven't been able to bring myself to try it. I have had two sweeps with no results, not even the show - was already 4 cms dilated at my last midwife appt last Tuesday - so knowing my luck I'd get rampant diaorrhea and stay up the duff anyway!

Midwife has suggested coming round tomorrow for a third go at a sweep so I might take her up on that as I would really rather avoid inducement if I can.

Anyway, nice to "meet" you all, good luck with your impending births.

Love

Bloss

Evening! have spent the weekend enjoying the sun and trying to stop the damned itching. has taken me ages to catch up with the thread, as usual!

booby - good luck x

snowboo - CONGRATULATIONS

trix - you're a brave girl ! let us know how it goes

blossom - good luck - here's hoping something happens soon.

nothing much happening here although i did have a slightly jelly-like discharge this a.m ( sorry tmi ) so am wondering if things may be starting to stir. still 18 days to go though so unlikely.still got lots to sort out so probably just as well!!

hope everything is ok with everyone.

trix1 · 06/08/2006 19:43

Welcome Bloss.

How frustrtaing for you to be still waiting to have your baby. Fingers crossed for you that baby decides to come soon.

trix1 · 06/08/2006 19:44

Olivio - I have had a lot of jelly like discharge today too. wonder if thats a sign?

olivo · 06/08/2006 19:49

I wondered too but i've had nothing else - saying that, spent most of the day submerged in water so wouldnt know if waters had gone
starting the raspberry leaf on friday and going to phone my reflexologist this week...

trix1 · 06/08/2006 19:52

Getting strong pains but no need to go to the toilet (yet)

trix1 · 06/08/2006 19:53

Bloss are you the last on the July thread to have your baby?

dreamydowler · 06/08/2006 19:58

welcome bloss cant imagine that you will be a whole lot longer cant believe you have been 4cm dilated since your last appointment perhaps third time will be lucky with your stretch and sweep you must be really peed that your sister went before you. My sister had her baby three weeks ago and that has made my last few weeks really drag anyway like I said we are a really friendly bunch on here so welcome and keep us informed. Trix I cannot believe you did it I hope it works for you I will be watching this space. Olivo It does sound like a show to me. could have a few new babies by morning then

dreamydowler · 06/08/2006 20:07

are you still there trix?

trix1 · 06/08/2006 20:13

trix1 · 06/08/2006 20:15
