How fast do we get through these threads?

Just finished 3yo dd's bday party and have a splitting headache now. Bed for me!

Secretlypregnant · 02/02/2014 18:28

Thank you Jenbee. I did see those, but - and I do realise I am being annoyingly picky here - I don't want the 'ponte' style with the sticky-up seams - just something really plain and ordinary. But I really appreciate you looking!

Ooh, the police have just pulled up across the road. Bit interesting for our road on a Sunday!

Newlook have seamless leggings

weeza13 · 02/02/2014 19:01

Thanks owlysims for the link, took me a while to figure it out. Hello to everyone else. Have got due date for aug 3rd for baby number one so its nice to hear from others due around the same time. Tried to find maternity trousers today but was disappointed with the small selection, all shops seem to have were skinny fit trousers (not my style) may resort to ebay.

FriendofDorothy · 02/02/2014 19:09

Try buying maternity trousers in a size 18/20. It's truly shit, especially for jeans. I had a decent pair of work trousers from Next though.

HungryHorace · 02/02/2014 19:16

For anyone needing a single buggy only, check this deal out:

sillymeagain · 02/02/2014 19:25

Friend. ...that's exactly what I need to do this week...couple size 18 with being just over 5ft and I think it may prove tricky. ...any recommendations for where to try for over the bump (big tum) jeans? Found some stretchy non-maternity trousers in bhs that should do for a little while in a size up but people will have to get used to me in the same things till the weather improves enough for maxi dresses!

Also have my scan this week and can so sympathise with the worry. ...can't wait for Tuesday morning so I can "know" and keeping everything crossed for all to be well!

Good luck to everyone who has scans this week.

Owlysims · 02/02/2014 19:54

Yah no worries weeza! Glad you found us at last! Couldn't think how else to explain unless I came round to your house and clicked the link for you Wink glad you're here!

New look does plus sizes normally doesn't it? So doesn't it also do it in maternity? Or that would be just silly! But then again shops can be quite silly! Smile

HungryHorace · 02/02/2014 19:56

I think NL has larger maternity sizes. Bloody good range too.

Good luck for all the scans this week. I can totally sympathise with the worry as that was me last week.

onion19632 · 02/02/2014 19:58

FriendofDorothy - bit late but my daughter had chickenpox just after Christmas but I was told by the Dr and midwife that because I had already had it there was no reason to worry, so fingers crossed.
Re jeans, I bought under bump ones last time from next which were truly awful and would literally just fall down at times! I then went out and bought some over bump trousers (not until I was about 7 months pregnant) and they were just the most comfortable things ever! Lesson learned Smile

onion19632 · 02/02/2014 20:01

...also only 2 more sleeps until my scan lol. Seems to have taken forever!

TheOnlySeven · 02/02/2014 20:08

Would you mind if I join you? I'm 27 and this is DC4. I'm only 9+4 and not due until 3rd September, but other 3 were born a month early, 35+5, 35+6 and 35+4, needless to say I'm anticipating an August baby rather than a September one! I've got my scan booked for the 19th so I'll probably be behind everyone else but hope you'll still have me :)

FWiW from past experience over bump jeans are so comfy but under bump ones really aren't. Next are pretty good, they do plus size ones which also come in petite lengths. I'm going shopping on Wednesday so will dig out my old ones first to see if they still fit!

TheOnlySeven · 02/02/2014 20:10

Meant to say my other DCs will be 6, nearly 3 and 16 months. Is a one else crazy enough to have 3 under 3? :o

FriendofDorothy · 02/02/2014 20:23

Next do over the bump jeans in size 18 and 20 but they always seem to be out of stock which is frustrating.

sillymeagain we have our scan on Tuesday too - 9am.

weeza13 · 02/02/2014 20:31

I had constant period like cramps for first two weeks and spent every day expecting the worst as no one had warned me about it. They did stop but still sometimes have twinges that make me have a mini panic. Had 12 wk scan and all was fine so I am sure you will be ok its just one of those things that people have but no one mentions. Wishing you all the best

TheOnlySeven · 02/02/2014 20:34

Cramps are often caused by the ligament around the uterus stretching. I had a mc between my DDs and no cramps whatsoever, it's not always something bad.

weeza13 · 02/02/2014 20:41

Meant small selection as in not much choice, not small in size, just want some comfy trousers because I end up sitting on floor a lot in my job. Love putting my baggy joggers on when I get home... Bliss

mssleepyhead · 02/02/2014 21:12

OnlySeven - I'm due in August but my scan isn't until 17 February so you're not that far behind! Welcome : )

TheOnlySeven · 02/02/2014 21:14

Thanks sleepy :)

sillymeagain · 02/02/2014 21:14

Oh friendof Dorothy I have just checked next and if you change the colour to "inky" they have the bigger but shorter sizes.

Guess I shall be ordering from there if all is well on Tuesday...guess we both maybe. ..fingers crossed.

Does anyone else have a problem with dairy at the moment, makes me feel so sick for hours afterwards. Little concerned about my lack of calcium intake

Secretlypregnant · 02/02/2014 21:17

Hello, TheOnlySeven, and congratulations! How have you been feeling?

I have some over the bump jeans from last time, but I couldn't stand them until I was quite big! (And I have to try to find them in the lost world that is our loft.)

TheOnlySeven · 02/02/2014 21:35

I'm feeling surprisingly well. I don't have the usual early pregnancy exhaustion, and only been sick once, which is a huge relief after sickness at least once a week right until the end with DC3. I've also normally gone off tea by now which I haven't yet.

TheOnlySeven · 02/02/2014 21:38

silly if you scroll down to the bottom of this page there's a list of non-dairy sources of calcium. Could soy milk and yoghurts be worth a try?

AntoinetteCosway · 02/02/2014 21:50

Although it's bloody expensive the Seraphine range is lovely-can't remember who was looking at their leggings. My friend just have me her old mat clothes including a pair of yoga trousers and a matching top and they are the softest, most gorgeous clothes I've had in ages! I probably wouldn't be able to pay for them though so I'm lucky she have them to me.

BunnyBaby · 02/02/2014 22:16

Ooh loving all the clothes hints and tips. I love Next as others say, they do long and short and theres enough there to order most of it from the catalogue, try on at home, and send back what you don't like, so I find easier than shop traipsing. I find under bump with belt loops are the best at the moment, as the belt stops them falling down, and they don't feel tight under :-)

We've had a busy day sorting Ds1 & Ds2 bedroom (6 & 3) which involved and IKEA trip and almost didn't fit most things in.

I tried to help DH with assembly, taking a lot of care, but still ended up all pulled muscles and uncomfortable, the hormones and relaxin seem to have really kicked in.

Still 10 days to scan (when I'll be 12+2), but sore boobs and nausea are making me feel comfortable, also the tiny bit of spotting seems to have eased now uterus heading onwards and upwards.

For those worrying about symptoms, don't, today I had my best day energy wise since the BFP, they really seem to fluctuate and placenta taking over and lots are seeing the ease now.

Off to be, shattered!

Will be catching up on the scan news tomorrow and this week! How exciting and good luck :-)
