How fast do we get through these threads?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
ClarissaG · 02/02/2014 10:46

Thanks secretly and root - so much over thinking and over worrying. 12pm tomorrow, I'm in tears even thinking about it, good or bad outcome. Going to be a weeping embarrassment at the hospital, luckily my DH thinks the tears are endearing.
off for a walk in the sun (amazing), need to distract myself.

Secretlypregnant · 02/02/2014 10:49

My dd is nearly two, Root, and I wasn't sick with her at all. This time I felt really nauseous and it only started easing off at 12 weeks. After your scan you'll be able to properly revel in feeling well again!

Secretlypregnant · 02/02/2014 10:51

I did a bit of crying too, Clarissa. Less than I expected though, due to having to jump about to get the baby to move!

ItsSoFluffyImGonnaDie · 02/02/2014 11:21

14+1 today and clothes are just starting to get uncomfortable so I'm dragging DH off shopping. What he doesn't know is we're popping into a giant kiddo are too Grin

ItsSoFluffyImGonnaDie · 02/02/2014 11:21

Kiddo are?!?! Stupid autocorrect. Kiddicare!!

HungryHorace · 02/02/2014 11:40

Kiddicare have a nursery deal on that ends at midnight tonight. I've just ordered a cot bed that matches DD's as they're going to be sharing a room.

We decided to go with the Mothercare mattress that matches DD's too so will sort that as well soonish.

Those whose symptoms are waning, it is the benefit of the placenta taking over. I mostly feel ok now at 13+3, though I've felt sicky today.

I've been quite productive though. I need to make the most of morning / early afternoon energy more often.

Secretlypregnant · 02/02/2014 12:23

OK, I've had a look and I can't see any plain black or blue under-the-bump leggings in New Look or Next or Mothercare. The cheapest ones I can find are Seraphine at £25 each Shock.

Can anyone help before I have to spend fifty whole pounds? I've got to get something soon - I've only got one pair of trousers I can bear to put on.

Ruggle · 02/02/2014 12:52

Clarissa, I had a whole night of what felt like period cramps a couple of weeks ago. Next morning I had a very upset stomach, but once it passed the cramps disappeared. I spoke to a midwife who told me that stomach trouble can irritate the uterus causing cramps....so it may be something as innocent as that.
Good luck with the scan!

Thatsnotmyfigure · 02/02/2014 13:26

Clarissa hope you get some rest and all is good tomorrow!!

HungryHorace · 02/02/2014 13:35

SP, it seems that under bump leggings are almost non existent. :-/

Have you Googled for voucher codes?

Secretlypregnant · 02/02/2014 13:58

Yes, the only one at the moment is free delivery. Which is something I guess!

I had some second-hand Next ones last time but I wore them to pieces. Can't even find any on eBay this time round.

Right, expensive purchase here I come!

Polkadot1 · 02/02/2014 15:11

I got some good maternity stuff in debenhams last time- few staple pieces, then wore baggy tops! Just googled maternity leggings- assa gave them for £8- not sure what they'd be like though!

Polkadot1 · 02/02/2014 15:12

" Asda have" that should say!

Owlysims · 02/02/2014 15:44

Sp on the newlook website some are 'over bump' leggings and others don't go up that high are these under?! I only liked over so no idea!! Smile

Thatsnotmyfigure · 02/02/2014 15:56

Am really uptight about the scan and screening tomorrow and have been all along. I think it's partly because my last 2 friends who has scans had bad news and that's been playing on my subconscious ever since I found out. I know that sounds very negative but I just can't yet believe everything is ok. I've been super grumpy and tearful the last few days too!! Scan is 11.40 but going to drag DS to the supermarket first thing tomorrow before dropping him at a friends just because I think I'll go mad at home watching the clock! Need some moral support here lovely people!!

Secretlypregnant · 02/02/2014 16:03

I think all the ones on the NL website are over, Owly - same with Asda, Polkadot1. Thanks guys, but I think I am going to have to pay out for a pair of the Seraphine ones. Grr. I wonder if it's because it's winter.

Thatsnotmyfigure, the scan is so close now. Less than 24 hours! It is natural that you are super aware of what can go wrong because of your friends. But all the chances are that everything will be fine. And being grumpy and tearful is a sign that your hormones are doing their stuff. I've been dreadful!

Thatsnotmyfigure · 02/02/2014 16:31

Thanks secretly. It doesn't help I'm over 40- they(medical professionals) make such a fuss and I've already been put under 'Shared Care' even though I was lucky enough to have a straightforward pregnancy and birth last time.

Secretlypregnant · 02/02/2014 16:50

I do empathise - it doesn't help your peace of mind when 'the great They' bang on about all the age-related possible concerns. Pregnancy is an exciting time, but can also be a stressful time. I think that anything you can do as you go along that eases your mind is beneficial.

It's a good idea to occupy yourself in the morning. The day before mine I just kept reminding myself that there was nothing I could do to change the outcome, and actually it was worse waiting and wondering. I'm sure everything will be fine, and this time tomorrow you will know that. :-)

Jenbee1 · 02/02/2014 16:50

It looks like mother are have under the bump leggings

Jenbee1 · 02/02/2014 16:51

Sorry mothercare

Secretlypregnant · 02/02/2014 17:47

Could you do a link? I can't see them on the website.

lucyfluff · 02/02/2014 18:07

Good luck tmrw thatsnot, everything will be fine Smile I know its stressfull with all the worrying but try to relax!!

Secretly - I had a look on ebay...if you put 'Next maternity leggings' in the search bar it does bring some up. Same for New Look just have to sift out correct size and overbump Smile Ive been wearing mine today and they were SO comfy!!!

Jenbee1 · 02/02/2014 18:07

www.mothercare.com/maternity-leggings/mat_leggings,default,sc.html

Hope that works.
Under the bump are at the bottom

lucyfluff · 02/02/2014 18:08

Meant underbump!!

Owlysims · 02/02/2014 18:13

Good luck for scans tomorrow guys, I know it's difficult not to worry (I can't stop!! Only a week to wait at least and a weekend away for dd's bday next weekend so should take my mind off it!!) but it'll be here soon and you'll hopefully be put at ease! At least for a while Grin.

Hope the legging shopping improves!!
