I look massive. I'm also aching more earlier. I'm not sure I could get up to 4 kids as I'm already knackered and broken with 1.3!

travispickles · 01/02/2014 13:41

Me too with the bump protruding. Although I haven't put on weight as quickly as last time, am still running twice a week although have slowed down a bit! An getting sooooo hungry now though. Telling DILs today so hoping for a good reception. Also got to tell DSS who is 13, don't think he'll give a damn being a teenage boy but his mother may be put out. Will not let it put dampener on it!!!!

nocheeseplease · 01/02/2014 14:38

Hiya, sorry i didnt give my age, I'm 31. To whoever asked (can't remember who it was, it was on previous thread) i can feel the top of my bump about an inch below my belly button when I'm lay down in bed in the morning. It disappears through the day then comes back in the evening. I think I've only got another week or two left in my normal clothes....

I've got a nice night planned tonight anyway, me and dh are off to the comedy store in manchester for a meal and a giggle. We're child free tonight (woohoo) so are making the most of it, i can't wait, its been ages since i ventured out in the evening!

travispickles · 01/02/2014 15:05

Just got my triple test/ nuchal result, which is 1:6700. Phew! The fact that I am 35 would skew the test anyway so I feel very relieved. :-)

sillymeagain · 01/02/2014 15:36

Oooh...another thread. Thank you.

Can't wait for my scan on Tuesday. ..it's at 8 on the morning...my mum is coming round at 7 to get thw other dc's ready for school. ...its going to be a very early start for us but so pleased its early. I will have no time to get my self in a tizzy! Hubby has the day off...little does he know that I am dragging him maternity jean shopping afterwards ( assuming all is good news) before we go for lunch!

Think there are at least 3 of us with scans on Tuesday and quite a few throughout the week. So hoping we all have good news and lots of pics to share.

How is everyone doing? My sickness has more or less gone and thw tiredness is mainly just "a bit more than normal" now. I have found out that despite craving cereal ( shreddies with hot milk) most dairy products make me feel so poorly for a good couple of hours. Since working this out and avoiding it I have felt lots better. But concerned about my lack of calcium. ..any ideas to help with this? Or anyone else with strange food aversions?

NameToBeDecided · 01/02/2014 15:52

Does any one who is in over bump jeans find they fit ok? I've got some but they just look comical at the moment Grin I'm sticking to under bump for time being but do prefer overs for later on.

UpQuarkDownQuark · 01/02/2014 16:01

Quick question, how long before your 12 week scan did you get your scan date? I will be 12 weeks a week on Monday and would quite like to book in some time off work for it.

I am disappointed I have zero bump yet but I am starting from a fairly flabby tummy!

DichotoMous · 01/02/2014 16:06

UpQuark I got my scan date two weeks before. It was arranged at my booking appointment so I didn't have to wait for a letter in the post.

2beornot · 01/02/2014 16:09

Found you! Had a fab day shopping - went to mamas and papas and got stuff to deck out the nursery. Very excited. Now I've just got to clear out dd stuff then DH can get to work redecorating!

I'm impressed at you ladies managing to feel your fundus! I can't (but then I do have some padding) although I def look more pregnant!

Upquark - I'm surprised you haven't heard yet. Can you phone midwife/hospital?

mssleepyhead · 01/02/2014 16:46

Thank you for the jeans tips : ) just home from the day out with my sister and immediately into jogging bottoms. Pregnancy is turning me into such a slob!

I can feel my fundus now, I think. If I lie down, it's just a couple of finger widths above my bone but when I stand I can feel a definite ridge around the waistband of my knickers. Getting higher, but still some way off my belly button!

Mitchell81 · 01/02/2014 17:01

My DH asked me last week while looking at my ever expanding belly. How weeks are you? No hiding it and I'm only 11 weeks tomorrow.

CountdownBegins · 01/02/2014 17:05

Thank you for the new thread! We've been at mamas and papas today too- just popped in for some maternity jeans as I've been undoing my normal jeans halfway through the day! It's been so uncomfortable! Got a great skinny black pair over the bump that are really stretchy so for nicely even with just a small bump- I'm definitely starting to look more pregnant and less bloated. They have 20% off their maternity clothes at the minute so worth a look.

Hope you are all having a relaxing weekend

Thatsnotmyfigure · 01/02/2014 17:13

Hi everyone! Just chrck

Thatsnotmyfigure · 01/02/2014 17:14

Oops! Just checking in! Great to get some mat jeans ideas! Can't say I'm popping out even though this is DC2 but am definitely bigger!

Mrsantithetic · 01/02/2014 17:20

I had my first scan a few weeks ago all ok. Due date confirmed as 3/8. I was on the first thread and have popped in and out since but not really posted.

Ruggle · 01/02/2014 18:13

I was also just at Mamas and Papas. Their jeans are waaay too long for me. I need 31"leg but their standard jeans looked like 33!
Tried two pairs in Debenhams, both size 8...one had bump ban that went up to my ribs and was very tight and I couldn't get my hips into the other pair. Size 10 was huge. I may have to give up on jeans!

Owlysims · 01/02/2014 18:55

I had decided not to have the downs test with my scan next Monday. I didn't have it with dd as I knew wouldn't make a difference etc. but when I discussed this with the midwife she didn't mention it also tested for other things! Abnormalities that are not compatible with life, am I the only one that didn't know this?! It doesn't say this in the book! Anyway this is a link from a thread on the baby centre app I'm sure a lot of you are on anyway as it has changed my mind and I'm now having the test so just wanted to make sure everyone had same information.

community.babycentre.co.uk/post/a25338181/its_not_just_for_downs_syndrome....?cpg=-1&#c2134647028

Owlysims · 01/02/2014 18:56

Not at all saying not having test isn't a good idea (that's a personal choice!) just that my choice changed once I had this info and I was annoyed that midwife doesn't make this obvious?!
