Didn't see one started, as our last thread looks full. Let's hope we are all kicking the early pregnancy sickness and starting to glow :)

OP posts:

good luck plate, hope it all goes well

I woke up with a nosebleed.
it was mild, but a bit disturbing as I have never thought you could have a nosebleed while asleep Confused

15 weeks today, nausea and cramping are both marching on. I'm now giving up thinking either will get better or be gone.
I'm convinced it's my body telling me "I'm warning you, this should be the last time you are pg.
next time you are broody remember how awful you felt and do yourself a favour - no more pregnancies"

zing this will only be DC2 for me and I would really rather not be pregnant again-am in awe of stamina of those with lots of children!

Well my night got worse-just as I was finally dropping back off to sleep at 4am DH had a bout of foghorn like coughing which woke DS up- who despite cuddles, mummy milk, water, more cuddles, a story etc etc took over 1.5hours to settle again! Needless to say I feel pretty wrecked and somehow need to look (and feel) presentable for this meeting Hmm

ZingSweetApple · 21/01/2014 08:21

blue poor you, that sounds proper crap

AuntieMaggie · 21/01/2014 08:37

theborrower I noticed a poster in the hosp when I went for my scan saying the photography thing was stopping!

plate good luck today

zing ha ha @ zombie invasion

No news here - still just feel fat/bloated!

jaykay987 · 21/01/2014 08:50

sorry to those feeling rubbish.

good luck today plate

theborrower · 21/01/2014 09:05

auntiemaggie oh that's good. I believe it's up to each area/hospital trust (or whatever) if they allow Bounty so it may not be the case across the board. Also, be aware that they will keep asking if you've had your pack "for the child benefit forms". Remember that these are available free online from the gov website. It's the fact that these marketeers - and that's what they are - are in the pockets of the NHS and have direct access to people that are venerable patients.

Of course, if you want all the marketing stuff, then go ahead, just be aware that's what it is :-)

theborrower · 21/01/2014 09:06

That sentence "it's the fact..." should finish "why they annoy me so much" :-)

elliejjtiny · 21/01/2014 09:09

plate good luck for CVS today. DS4 has various health/development issues, some of which were discovered in pregnancy. So I understand how worried you must be and if you ever want to chat about it just shout.

coco Good luck with your appointment today. I looked at the C-section bit of my notes and in the reasons for C-section bit there is a box where they can tick "maternal request" so that's a good sign for you. There wasn't a box for "waters broken and baby in a weird position" though so not sure what they ticked for me with DS4.

zing My body is telling me that it's had enough of pregnancy as well. Really need to sort out some decent contraception after this one that will protect my eggs from DH's ninja sperm!

No insomnia here but lots of nightmares, argh.

AuntieMaggie · 21/01/2014 09:36

Today I feel sick. No idea why but I assume its pregnancy related!

Does anyone have any advice about bras? I need to buy some as mine are hurting but realise I'll probably grow loads (and I'm already an F cup!)

Mrsc020987 · 21/01/2014 09:39

Good luck for scans, checking in, hope the sickness is getting easier. I am still vomiting loads after i eat but had this full term with dd so expecting the same i feel much better tho, so much more energy.

I had the moment on Sunday, i had to inform my sister straight away, the moment you go, omg i am definitely pregnant. I had prepared 3 dinners for the week, completed all laundry cleared out spare room ready for decoration so dd can move out of the nursery and reacquainted myself with my very familiar pregnancy friend, bleach. I done this the first time round bleached everything, even the smell makes me happy....so strange.

17 +3 count down to 20 week scan is on!!

liquidstate · 21/01/2014 12:05

17 weeks today (I think - losing count). Feel like poo. So tired.

Am looking at baby stuff. We haven't been offered that much by friends and family (too many other babies being born at the moment). Annoyed that there aren't many gender neutral items around - If anyone can recommend a place let me know.

BlueC2 · 21/01/2014 12:18

Survived my meeting and have work to do-woohoo!! So so need to earn some money!

plate hope you're ok?

Whoever mentioned bras I found most places pretty useless at measuring me but found maternity bras from Mothercare (own brand soft lacy cup) v comfortable during pregnancy and then Debenhams Miriam Stoppard feeding ones afterwards. In hindsight buying feeding ones to wear during pregnancy would've been a good idea as I couldve then worn them again as I slowly shrank and drooped :)

Re neutral baby stuff clothes wise Next do some nice neutral bits in their first wardrobe range which DS lived in to start with-the only blue bits he had were gifts. Also a lot of places have a neutral nursery range as well as the pink and blue ones (eg Next, John Lewis, Matalan, babiesrus). Peter Rabbit/Jemima Puddleduck can be quite neutral also Winnie the Pooh too as themes for nursery.

DaisyBank82 · 21/01/2014 13:14

Maggie re bras I found lots I liked in a local department store from the Hot Milk range www.hotmilklingerie.com/. One of my first symptoms was boobs going up from an E to a GG and now I wear a wireless nursing bra at night which really helps. I liked them because they had pretty detailing and I haven't seen many in larger cup sizes in places like H&M etc. It was expensive (about £30) but cost per wear wise I think it's fine plus as it's the first bra I've owned since I was a teenager with no underwiring I've happily been chucking it through the wash (who am I kidding, all my bras go through the wash even though in my head I pretend I hand wash them like you're supposed to).
Not much to report here - had a flu jab yesterday so have arm ache today but wasn't sick when I brushed my teeth for first time in weeks. Impatiently waiting for Down's result to come through the post following blood test and scan end of last week. I told my boss and boss' boss yesterday and they couldn't have been nicer about it. Phew.

DaisyBank82 · 21/01/2014 13:23

Oh meant to add that I did have the bra fitted in the shop which I think really helped as I had no idea I'd gone up by that much and also wasn't sure how they were supposed to fit as the middle bit doesn't lie flat between my boobs like my normal bras do.. Although now I know my size (for now) I'd feel happier about ordering online.

liquidstate · 21/01/2014 15:05

Ah those Hotmilk bras are quite pretty! I am still on normal bra with extenders. My boobs were massive before Christmas but seem to have gone back to normal now. I was advised to get the nursing bras rather than maternity ones to save money.

LaDay · 21/01/2014 15:14

Oh god, it's going to be one of those weeks. Working in Bristol today, back to Hampshire tonight, off to Cornwall tomorrow and then Devon on Thurs. DH away with work so no back up either for DS

Give me good luck, ladies...

Sometimes I am counting down the days till Mat Leave!

liquidstate · 21/01/2014 15:49

Oh God Laday sounds like a right busy week. Am afraid to say I haven't been into work yet and am currently lying on the sofa eating ice cream. Blush

Have vomited 12 times so far today and slept from 11 till 3pm though.

LaDay · 21/01/2014 16:00

liquid ....it will pass...it will pass...it will pass
You poor sausage. I have been buying sea bands ginger pastilles by the bucketload this week. Seem to just about hold it together. If you can drag yourself outside a bit of fresh air really will help (or at least open the window)
Giant virtual hug!

AuntieMaggie · 21/01/2014 16:25

Bra extenders!!! Why didn't I think of that???

Thanks for the bra advice.

Hope Bristol was kind to you today LaDay

NancyinCali · 21/01/2014 17:50

Why can't I stop once I've opened a bar of chocolate? Need to stop buying them…

liquid oh you poor thing, that sounds truly miserable. I hope it passes soon.

LaDay I used to have to travel a lot for my old job and it was bad enough when not pregnant. I'm not surprised you're counting down the days!

plate thinking of you today.

ZingSweetApple · 21/01/2014 18:07

plate

I hope you're ok, thinking of you

ellie

Grin @ ninja sperm

us too. we never used any form of contraception but DH's got super sperm (as we call it) so he'll probably have to double bag.Grin
I don't want any chemicals or things in my body, ever.
maybe surgical options?
(but I'm not sure if that's right to do)

tough stuff

Well I managed to keep the ice cream down so can ben and jerrys to list list of bean approved foods Grin

DH just cooking dinner and he has hoovered and mopped Smile. I did think I was getting better so annoying to get ill again. My DSis was ill till 20+ weeks so at least I am on the way there.

auntiemaggie if you wear an old bra you can also cut out the wire if you find it uncomfortable. I want to see if my boobs get bigger before paying for a nursing one. Also Asda do packs of two sports bras for £7 which my cousin swore by.
