Didn't see one started, as our last thread looks full. Let's hope we are all kicking the early pregnancy sickness and starting to glow :)

Glad to hear all is ok mummy

zing I'm the same with drinks, trying to drink a pint of water before scans usually involves me puking most of it back up and then getting told off by the sonographer for having an empty bladder.

ZingSweetApple · 22/01/2014 18:21

I have been sick again. I discovered I had lost my pushchair and crying about it made me feel really tired.
DH has been away, back tomorrow, which is crap.
plus he had a shit day too, he accidentaly poured coffee on his laptop which is now not working - he has a presentation tonight!
he is on a train, stinking of coffee, unable to work and going to a meeting like that...I have no words.

utterly shit day.
I feel so sick still, worried about him and having to deal with crying DD and her naughty brothers.
dinner is going to be cereal I'm afraid.

sorry for rant.

Ipsumlorem · 22/01/2014 18:38

mummy glad everything is ok.

zing rant away. I think we all deserve one every now and again and the sickness is truly horrible. Sad

I've been sick again since monday, unable to eat or drink and have been living off ice lollies. I've only managed 2 half days in work this week and have a splitting headache Sad . Have a really important meeting tomorrow and don't know if I'm going to make it. Spoke to my boss today and even if I can make it in for an hour it will be gps for a sick line straight afterwards as I just can't keep going on atm Sad Sad

BlueC2 · 22/01/2014 18:42

Oh zing I feel your pain! My sickness seems to be getting worse rather than better-sick yesterday morning and this morning and feel as though I could be sick again any time now. Sure I'm probably dehydrated but can't find anything I can bear to drink :( also so tired I could sleep right now as had another horrendous night last night!

Apologies for my moan too-i really enjoyed the second trimester last time and was looking forward to enjoying it this time but just feel rubbish! will be 16 weeks on sat.

BlueC2 · 22/01/2014 18:50

Ips xpost. So sorry you're feeling so rough

talulahbelle · 22/01/2014 19:00

Ah zing I feel sorry for you. Being sick is horrid. I hope tomorrow will be a better day.

I'm suffering from trapped wind after a sneaky KFC. Serves me right, I need to get off the junk food and eat more healthily. Anyone got any miracle cures?

dramajustfollowsme · 22/01/2014 19:03

I am 17wks tomorrow and still being sick. I'm 10lbs lighter than pre-pregnancy. I have, in the couple of days, developed a rather large bump. My maternity clothes are starting to fit.
I am also incredibly thirsty and needing to pee an incredible amount.
I think I may give the mw a call about it as I'm drinking pints of water during the night as well, because I'm so thirsty. I don't have a mw appointment for a wee while. I forgot to speak about it last wk as I was so excited hearing the heartbeat.

Ipsumlorem · 22/01/2014 19:27

blue I completely sympathise with you - it's rubbish isn't it? We are pretty close dates wise - I'm 16 weeks on friday and was really starting to think it was getting better - no such luck! Hope this is just a blip as I'm fed up puking and crying to everyone!

ismarah · 22/01/2014 19:33

Bean did not play ball today and we didn't hear a heartbeat, but we did hear movements so we're not worried. This midwife was really nice, answered my questions and not a hint of racism so I'll aim to stick to her if possible.

I drink water like it's going out of fashion, wee every five minutes as a consequence. But otherwise am very lucky and so far, so good.

coco808 · 22/01/2014 19:55

so sorry to hear about you lovely ladies feeling rubbish Sad
sending virtual hugs and Brew

good news about the scan mummy

ellie I will be seeing the consultant again at 24 weeks to discuss birth plan!!

Becky2208 · 22/01/2014 20:57

Sorry to hear so many of you are still feeling rubbish. Luckily I only feel sick, which is marginally better than being sick I think. I am still exhausted, and feel like crying all the time, which means my revision is not going well, and my exam is next week. Don't think it's going to go too well somehow - I'm very stressed.

Glad the scan went well mummy.

I hope you all feel better soon.

Incapinka · 22/01/2014 21:07

Oh my god. Am lying on the sofa and have just done an enormous sneeze and at the same time just done the loudest, jet propelled fart ever. DH is still giggling. I have blamed pregnancy. Oh god. What will be next....

FoxtrotOscarBackToEconomy · 22/01/2014 21:17

Zing hope you are feeling better tomorrow. Congratulations on the house.

I hope that the others who are looking for a house have some luck soon!

And I hope that the sickness and general crap feeling clears up for those still suffering. I'm doing much better now with virtually no nausea but still tired.

plate good to hear that the CVS went well. Thinking of you this week with the results wait.

I saw the midwife today. Finally at the third appointment we heard the heartbeat. It took some time to find though!

osinachi · 22/01/2014 21:39

"Mummy" glad it was alright. I spotted at 5&10weeks and was petrified.

I called hospital today and asked about 16weeks appt. I was told I was supposed to have booked it but no one told me I should!! Anyway I got an appt two days shy of 16 weeks.

Am just so tired and uncomfortable. I feel quite bloated and have lots of trapped gas..... I can't wait to tell work so I can be properly tired and 'pregnant' and also get time off for my appt rather than use annual leave or flexi. Will tell them next week. I don't think there should be any issues tho a colleague is also expecting and will be going off in May.

Sadly my friend suffered an early mc :( I will call her tomorrow to c how she's holding up.

'Ismara' is the refund with a letter from your mw? If it's only half refund I'll get we may pay £360 extra for both of us to bring it forward to April.

icklekid · 22/01/2014 21:59

Really sorry to hear so many people feel awful still and totally relate to the it's getting worse feeling- really sick again tonight despite eating nothing. Also fell over and badly grazed my knee and hurt my shoulder! Spent the evening wanting to cry. Got lost in the car cried- dh no sympathy, failed to hold up a tape measure- cried-dh rude so walked out and watched call the midwife. Now in bed feeling sorry for myself in pain and want to cry again. What a day and 2 mire before the weekend!

ismarah · 22/01/2014 22:34

Osinachi we booked direct with BA and these were their Ts&Cs. It's a lot cheaper (and more fun!) to move the flights. However, we might have been able to get the rest of the money refunded through our travel insurance but it was a hassle and this way we get a big dose of sunshine before bean arrives. The amended dates mean I don't even need a 'fit to fly' letter but I will probably get one as don't want any problems in case I present a balloon belly at the airport.

justhayley · 22/01/2014 22:38

What is going on with our July babies, why havnt they realised the 2nd trimester is the one where we feel & look great!

Glad the CVS went well plate that must be a relief.

Ladies that are feeling sick - today I discovered belvita breakfast biscuits - the milk ones. They didnt stop the sickness as such but are a great snack when you need something to eat sharpish to prevent that yucky feeling. I keep waking up soooo hungry during my 2 hour insomnia session. I'm going to bed now so had a few biccies, and am going to take them to bed to snack on at 4am lol - let's see if the adverts true & they keep hunger at bay!

Is anyone else dying to know babies sex? It's killing me now I just want to know NOW. I want to buy pink stuff, or dig out all DS blue stuff (& secretly buy more). I want to mak name lists, & stop calling bump it! With DS our hospital didn't disclose gender so we went private & found out at 17 weeks. The hospital have now changed it's policy & tell you at the 20 week scan. I'm 14 weeks tomorrow & don't want to wait 6 weeks. DP says there's no way we are wasting money getting an early private scan at 16 weeks - I may have to do it in secret lol.

Well I'm off to bed, feeling rubbish, keep getting sick in my mouth - beautiful image I know lol.

See you at 4am Confused

ZingSweetApple · 22/01/2014 22:58

yes, good luck with house hunt and Grin @ jet fart!Wink

hayley

I know, what is up with these naughty babies?

sympathies for all who are feeling sick/rubbish/tired/worried etc.

On the fun side I started a thread about wearing a tiara when giving birth "Tiara club - are you in?"
do sign up!Grin

jaykay987 · 23/01/2014 05:59

ickle not eating may be why you were sick. I had to have something in belly at all times to stop the sickness. Though I appreciate the difficulty is finding what will stay down.

just those were my saviour too. I rarely feel sick now (17+2) but keep finding crushed packets of them in my handbags, car, work bag! Smile

zibg you planning selling your tiara calendar for charity?! Grin

ZingSweetApple · 23/01/2014 08:10

jay

great idea!Grin

BlueC2 · 23/01/2014 08:51

Morning all-well I actually had a full and good nights sleep-woohoo! And I don't feel so sick this morning so thinking there may be a link between tiredness and sickness. Though I also didn't feed DS in the night as he didn't wake or I was so fast asleep I didn't hear him so that could also make a difference.

Wishing everyone a good day today and for those with awful days yesterday a much better day today :)

Ipsumlorem · 23/01/2014 09:55

blue glad you are feeling a bit better today Smile

I'm annoyed because I'm having to miss my meeting this morning - had a horrific night last night. I couldn't stop vomiting and went all shaky and weak - probably dehydration and low blood sugar and pressure to be fair Sad

On a plus slept in a bit this morning as a result.Smile That and the cyclizine tablet I took seem to be helping so far - still sucking ice cubes though atm. I spoke to my doctor and they left me a prescription for more tablets and a sickline for a week - she was going to sign me off for longer with hyperemesis but I feel bad enough being off for a week. I know I'm probably being hard on myself but I'm just annoyed as I've tried to battle on but it's just not working this week.

Anyway, onwards and upwards! Hopefully things will improve again with a bit of rest Smile

A tiara you say zing? Mmmmm...sounds like a plan Grin

liquidstate · 23/01/2014 10:26

Can I wear crown instead of a tiara?

so unbelievably tired and now vomiting liquid, although not a lot since I am drinking a lot more than vomiting. Just had a telephone consultation with doctor and have an appointment for tomorrow morning. I havent worked this week so will need a sick note for this week and maybe next. So fed up and now seriously behind with work.

I really just want to be normal. Is it too early for me to have egg and chips? or failing that a big mac?
