Didn't see one started, as our last thread looks full. Let's hope we are all kicking the early pregnancy sickness and starting to glow :)

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
IHatePopUpTents · 20/01/2014 07:58

Oh and thank you ella/elle about the discharge info, trying to find it out online is a nightmare and my midwife just laughed and said I wouldn't need to Hmm

ZingSweetApple · 20/01/2014 08:06

no glowing here yet.

I had food poisoning and spent Saturday night on the loo, firing both ends.
spent yesterday on sofa.

still feeling nauseous.Sad

the nice thing is that if I bend down or move In certain ways I have to stop as I can feel baby.
Smile and I think I felt a kick yesterday, not sure.

I still get cramping, I decided it's because everything's been stretched and "used" so many times my body is telling me ^absolutely last baby".
Message received, loud and clear! Grin

Happy Monday!

MrsB2013 · 20/01/2014 10:36

Thanks Zing

MW appointment went well, blood pressure was fine and pee test was fine. Got my blood results from 1st appointment and all ok there, don't need the anti d injections! Heard the heartbeat, it was 155bpm, mw found it straight away! I asked her again about having ELCS, she said just talk to Consultant MW on Fri and explain why I want it.

Pixie sorry to hear about your BIL :(

Hayley I wake up around 3-4am for an hour or so, which makes getting up in the morning harder!

PopUpTents I would ring doctor and ask if they can send you for a scan, probably fine but always best to get checked out.

MrsB

3 cheers for hearing heartbeat!Smile

it's such a funny sound, but I could listen to it for hours.
weirdest thing is it means the world to us while pg, but once baby is born you will not even think about listening to the heart.

elliejjtiny · 20/01/2014 11:32

Scan was fine thank goodness Grin. 1 active baby, measuring a week ahead of LMP dates. I thought that might happen as my cycles were short between my last pregnancy and this one. New date 5th July. Can you change my date on your list MrsB? I was due on 11th July before.

Anyone else waiting for a dating scan or was I the last?

16+2

HomeIsWhereTheGinIs · 20/01/2014 12:46

Congratulations Ellie, great news!

ZingSweetApple · 20/01/2014 13:40

fab news Ellie, very happy for you!Smile

dollydaydream27 · 20/01/2014 13:57

Hi marking place on the new thread how exciting !15 weeks +1and feeling great . Hope this is the start if things to come for the second trimester !

MrsB2013 · 20/01/2014 17:06

Zing it is a strange sound!! So glad I heard it!

Glad your scan went well Ellie!!

Is anyone else having a scan this week?

Has anyone picked up their "mum to be" Bounty pack yet? Is there anything exciting in it?

coco808 · 20/01/2014 19:44

good news on the scan ellie Smile and hearing the heart beat MrsB Smile
I still haven't managed to open the Bounty pack Blush even though I've had it 4 weeks!

AuntieMaggie · 20/01/2014 20:02

Is the bounty pack that plastic folder thing with all the marketing leaflets in it? If so most women I've seen at the hospital seem to be carrying it around (I shoved mine in a drawer)

Now I am grumpy because my MW didn't listen to the heartbeat at my 16 week check :(

Plateofcrumbs · 20/01/2014 20:22

Hi folks

Warning - rant incoming!

Had a shitty weekend. Decided to thoroughly read my results from scan and research the various markers they flagged up. Big mistake. Turns out some of them are associated with very high risk of abnormalities - 1 in 3, 1 in 4. Obviously I don't really understand how that relates to my wider risk profile, but...yowzers. Had a big cry actually burst a blood vessel in my eye

Have nevertheless been the very picture of professionalism at work and generally busting my ass.

Had a meeting with one of my team today who is pregnant. She doesn't know I am too - keeping quiet til we know outcome of tests. She's glass half full at the best of times but today really took the biscuit:

"You're not supportive enough" (I lose count of the hours I have spent massaging her ego)

"I'm working more than my contracted hours" (cry me a river, I can't remember the last time I worked less than an extra 20 hours a week)

"I didn't even have a break on Thursday" (boo-bloody-hoo I rarely get time for a sandwich let alone a break)

"I've got to think about the baaaybeee" - whoa! Do not play the pregnancy card with me, missus, you have no idea.

Angry
Plateofcrumbs · 20/01/2014 20:25

That should have been glass half empty, obviously

theborrower · 20/01/2014 20:39

Re the bounty packs
Ugh, they are total crap. I signed up for bounty last time, what a waste of time. A couple of washing detergent samples, tea bags, can of coke and pampers vouchers is all i can remember.I still get loads of junk mail from companies like morrisons and asda. I couldn't see any way to get off bounty's mailing lists other than to contact their bereavement email to request to be removed. I'm not falling for it this time! Be warned. And when they come by your hospital bed several times when you're knackered and crying asking if you want photos, tell them to bugger off. Can you tell I signed mumsnet's anti-bounty campaign? ?

heartbeat nope, I didn't get to hear it at my last check up either, as I was 15 weeks and she thought it would be unlikely that I'd hear it. I can feel the wee monkey kicking about though, so I'm guessing its doing ok :-)

I still have a sick 3 year old, she's had a fever since Thursday :-( we took her to the doctor, just a 'virus' and not anything concrete, which is a relief in a way, but annoying because we can't do anything except give Calpol/ibuprofen and administer CBeebies and cuddles. Still, I get a day off work tomorrow, I'm feeling a bit poo myself so will be nice to rest.

MrsB2013 · 20/01/2014 21:03

Plate sending you hugs and Flowers When is your next go at CVS?

coco808 · 20/01/2014 21:21

BOOOOO to your team mate plates

How are you doing?

Plateofcrumbs · 20/01/2014 21:27

Geroffus with yer hugs MrsB, I'm in a stompy ranty mood!

Going to see the professor tomorrow morning for CVS round II.

Much as the office has been a non-stop ordeal today, actually really appreciated being immersed in something else. Thank god for whinging employees and nightmare projects.

Smile
HomeIsWhereTheGinIs · 20/01/2014 21:32

Oh plate that's rubbish. What an utter pain in the arse. I have zero tolerance for that kind of preciousness.

I'm so sorry about your weekend too, it must be so very difficult at the moment. Look after yourself and fingers crossed that it all comes up roses post-Cvs...

coco808 · 20/01/2014 21:37

awww good luck for tomorrow plate I'll have my fingers crossed for you. Enjoy some virtual Brew and Cake...i make a mean virtual one but a rubbish real one!

MrsA2 · 20/01/2014 21:39

Good luck tomorrow plate and hope you get your results quickly

liquidstate · 20/01/2014 21:48

Thinking of you Plate

Another one here very anti Bounty. They sell your details on to god knows where so expect an increase of junk mail. The crappy freebies are not worth it really (and if you email Sudocreme direct they will send you a free mini pot anyhow). And don't get me started on the ward reps...

Extremely grumpy as fed up of being tired. Haven't been into work since Wednesday as too tired for the commute. Trying to work from home but slept for most of the day. Apart from the vomiting sessions that is. Hmm

BlueC2 · 21/01/2014 03:45

plate will be thinking of you-hope you get some q's answered quickly. Sorry about PITA employee too!

It's 3am or something like that and I'm wide awake -grrr. Had such a lovely sleep from 9.30pm-11.30pm and then on til 2.30am but been awake since then! Have finally got some work coming in (desperately needed!) and have a meeting about it in the morning so really do need the sleep to look something like fresh awake and capable for that! Pregnancy insomnia-the joys!

BlueC2 · 21/01/2014 03:47

Just pressed post and discovered it's 3.45am-great-been awake even longer than I thought -grrrr

ItsAlwaysBetterOnHoliday · 21/01/2014 05:27

Also wide awake in the early hours, blue. Bleh. Pregnancy insomnia is rubbish.

Slightly worrying about the fact I wore my 'baby on board' badge for first time on commute home (after nearly fainting on tube yesterday morning and having to ask for a seat Blush) and then bumping into someone from my office (not in my team) as I got off the train! Ah well. Hopefully she won't say anything at work. I don't want anyone to hear that I'm pregnant before I tell them - just waiting for contract extensions to come up before I do!

Thinking of you plate and hope all goes well tomorrow with the prof.
