Just back from a nice weekend away with friends, and one toddler. How much energy do small children have?! Slightly worried about coping now, my friend was excellent with her DC but it did make me aware how all consuming being a parent is.

Small children have loads of energy but thankfully they aren't born toddlers so you sort of work up to it. With any luck they spend quite a lot of time sleeping- here's hoping!

Got my 20 week scan on Tuesday, very excited but bit scared to. Just want to know everything is ok. I think my fear comes from my 3 mc I had a few years ago. But so far so good this time!

sorry to hear about your MCs , I had one before DS5 and I held my breath the entire pregnancy.

and happy to update that iron tablets seem to be working already, my breathing has improved.
I felt much better today.

So I'm exhausted and my back is killing (really need to convince DS that he doesn't need carrying up or down the stairs anymore!) and I still have to make packed lunches for tomorrow, do the ironing, resew button on DHs coat and pack a bag for me and DS staying at my brothers tomorrow night- sigh- I would like to sleep right now and DH has had to go out so he can't help! Though I have just found The Devil Wears Prada on TV so that will help distract me :)

I thought my dream about my car almost running out of fuel and struggling at the petrol station was bad (things always seem worse in the night ) but compared to some of you it looks like I got off pretty lightly with my bad dream.

Bump is getting big. I think we (ahem DH) will have to take the side off DS's cot soon otherwise I won't be able to lift him in.

I meant to get my maternity clothes out this weekend but didn't get around to it so I will have to squeeze into my regular clothes for another week. I was realising how little wear you get out of maternity wear if you don't start wearing it until 22 weeks.

Scan tomorrow.

No more TV dinners that require cutlery use for me. Bump is in the way now. Fork and bowl still OK if I just pick the bowl up. I know you all wanted to know this!

20w scan tomorrow. DH is a bit stressed about it but I'm cool as a cucumber after my triumphant Friday.

I managed most of my list last night (sorry for the me me moan!) and treated myself to some paracetamol for my sore back! DS really suffering with his teeth-just the last molars to come through and I'm really hoping they come through before bean arrives!

Good luck with the scans today (and welcome nomore !). A week tomorrow until mine, already feeling nervous about it. Fortunately I have the week from hell at work to take my mind off it .

You know sometimes you wish you could just fast-forward time? I want to be at the end of next week, getting on a flight to Marrakech (whooo holiday!!). Just got to grit teeth and get on with it.

Two big presentations this week and after the breathlessness fiasco last week I'm seriously paranoid I'm going to make a hash of them. Argh!

Sorry, enough moaning - off to write my to-do list and weep silently.

Scan all done, bean and bits all present and accounted for. Placenta is to the front which is why I don't feel movement so much and bean is currently in breach position.

Bean was quite demure (arms and legs together, arms mostly over face) so the technician thinks it might be a girl in the absence of visible swinging tackle. She wasn't 100% though so we'll wait and see..

ickle re the Skip Hop Tree Top Gym, think of it as an investment. They sell for £40 second hand on ebay.

I have amazon vouchers to use so I will invest in the gym as well as the stickers. Trying not to buy too much new stuff but I really like it, plus I got a very expensive but rarely used baby bouncer off ebay for £10 last night so I think the cost will offset itself.

Have a very busy week at work, could have done without the MIL being at my house both Sat and Sun. The DH and FIL were building cupboards in the nursery and spare room all weekend and my bathroom bits have arrived so house is absolute chaos. Anyone want to help me write a 10k word report?

The Mexican has not reappeared, thank god.

sorry forgot to add welcome Peppapig! Hope everything goes well. I had 3 early MCs last year and the anxiety over this bean is high because of this.

Ickle: I've seen them in Peter Jones for about £45 but we got ours for £12 in a local charity shop! They seem really popular, maybe it's worth scouring your local shop to see if any of them have one? They are gorgeous though and dcats are delighted with it (going to have to tell them it's not theirs at some point...!).

All is going ok here. Scan on Wednesday which is always a little nerve wracking. Had been certain that we would find out the sex but now time is getting closer I am not so keen. I am certain it is another boy as bump is still tiny (looks like I have had too much to eat!) and mirroring DS pregnancy. Just hope everything is ok in there.

Having the occasional low. Baby he at DHs busiest time at work so won't be able to take 2 weeks and he is also doing an ironman in September for the first time so will be doing lots of training. Had hoped he could take a couple of weeks off in Sept but may only take 4 days as ironman takes 3.... Grrrrrrrrrrr. He is fab. Very supportive and loving and a fab husband and father but am just grrrrr at the moment. Irrational hormones?!

Hi all, i'm 19wks+5 today so very nearly at the half way point :) Had my anomaly scan last week and all is well. MW there thought it was unusual to get me in earlier for a scan as I was 18wks+6 but got on with it anyway. I assumed that once you got a letter with a date and time then that was it! I didn't argue :) all was well and they seemed happy with baby's progress. Didn't want to find out sex but she almost let it slip, doh! DP was asking lots of questions and think MW got fed up in the end, she told him to be quiet!

Looking to start aquanatal classes but not sure where to go and how soon I can start doing those?
