Didn't see one started, as our last thread looks full. Let's hope we are all kicking the early pregnancy sickness and starting to glow :)

I bought that pilates dvd after someone else mentioned it here (plate I think) have only managed a few 10 min sessions but the one with the legs in the air thing worried me as I found it really hard!

My internet has been broken for a week and I have a cold so I'm grumpy at being stuck at home and not being able to watch netflix

HomeIsWhereTheGinIs · 07/02/2014 10:03

I don't suppose anyone would be kind enough to send me a link to the prenatal Pilates you're doing? There appear to be so many that I'm a bit overwhelmed. Must start doing something though, but pelvic pain flares up if I walk for more than twenty mins...

ZingSweetApple · 07/02/2014 10:36

homeis

nancy linked one this morning at 4:29 am

ismarah · 07/02/2014 14:26

Caught up with a friend this morning. She was telling me about her cervical prolapse and how all her organs appear to be travelling downwards. The main reason appears to be a large baby delivered 5yrs ago and not much attention paid to her medically when she said something was wrong. In between wincing and crossing my legs in sympathy when she told me how the bits fell out and she had to shove then back in and feeling slightly green, I think I decided I'll ask for a C section. I'm about 50/50 at this point for medical reasons anyway and suspect if I pushed hard for it, it shouldn't be difficult to arrange.

I have no desire to have inside bits turn into outside bits and as nobody can guarantee VB success (insert your own definition of success here) I don't think I want to risk it. Also not telling my mother this...

AuntieMaggie · 07/02/2014 15:32

homeis here is the dvd its several different 10 minute sessions you can do together or seperately. Its the same lady that is doing the one nancy linked to

MrsB2013 · 07/02/2014 16:47

Mummy glad everything is ok with little bean!

LaDay hope your DS is ok and it went well today

I think I'll try pilates, I do absolutely nothing at the moment Blush

Ismarah that is one of the reasons why I've asked for a CS! Some people are really lucky and don't have any problems after a natural birth, but that seems very rare!

I'm feeling so disorganised! It feels like time is going so quick and I need to buy everything, and also sort out our spare room ready for a nursery!

HomeIsWhereTheGinIs · 07/02/2014 16:53

MrsB and IsMarah. That's the reason I'm doing it too. That and the 5% risk of incontinence. Good luck getting your elcs booked! I think doctors are getting more used to the request.

HomeIsWhereTheGinIs · 07/02/2014 16:53

Ps auntie maggie thank you! Determined to start!

MrsB2013 · 07/02/2014 17:07

Would anyone be interested in having a Facebook group? I've noticed a few other ante-natal clubs on here have one. I can set one up so it is completely secret so wont show up on your profile and no one can search for it, you will need to be invited to join.

NancyinCali · 07/02/2014 17:26

I think I just had a Braxton hicks contraction! Only 16 weeks but according to google it's not unheard of at this stage, particularly in 2nd pregnancy. Apparently could mean I'm dehydrated too so drinking note water. I had them all the time from 30 weeks with dd1.

icklekid · 07/02/2014 18:17

Wow Nancy I can imagine that would terrify me bit I guess not so bad with 2nd dc.

mrsb yes I would be up for a Facebook group if you did set one up.

I have also not done any exercise because of feeling so ill, going to start pregnancy pilates soon but may try those 10 min yoga in between. I would really like to get back to the gym but not sure my energy would last that long- I keep saying I must go swimming but hasn't happened yet!

MrsA2 · 07/02/2014 18:47

Nancy I'm pretty sure I've been having Braxton hicks as sometimes bump goes (even more) hard. Think I got them from about a week ago, I'm now 19 weeks.

LaDay, hope things went well today with your son.

Still feeling loads of movements, this is a lively baby I think! Many of them are obvious to the touch on the outside too - my husband must have felt 10 or so kicks (I keep making him!).

Scan next Thurs for me, really want to have that out the way now for some reassurance.

18.30 and I was in my dressing gown tonight - the neighbour just knocked the door though and so I felt a right idiot.

jaykay987 · 07/02/2014 20:47

mrsb I'm on the June fb thread and it's great. It's completely secret. Plus people posting scan pictures, photos of nurseries and purchases!

I'd definitely join a July one.

LaDay · 07/02/2014 21:38

Thanks for all the wishes chaps, they nearly nearly worked...cutting a long day short....

He does have an abnormality....

But on a seriousness scale it is 2/6 (0=no issue) and as such he is getting referred to a pediatric cardiologist. However as he is "clearly thriving" then it's on an outpatient basis. No indication of time to appt etc....

So...it's not nothing. It's definitely something.
But we just have to hope he goes to the next stage of assessment and then no more action needed.

I am trying to be optimistic, but wish DH were here for a big hug (he's away till Mon). In DH's absence DS has decided to sleep in our bed, so he "can look after Mummy and my baby"...bless him indeed.

Fingers remaining crossed...

PS thanks for packing advice...we have lots of boxes packed from move 10 months ago so nearly there already!
PPS great idea re FB but not something I remember to go on too much, so keep this one too please!!

ZingSweetApple · 07/02/2014 21:43

(((((((((((((HUG))))))))))))))

here's your big hug LaDay

LaDay · 07/02/2014 21:55

Thank you zing!

Just off to steal one from an asleep DS too, night all x

NancyinCali · 07/02/2014 22:13

Night LaDay and a (((hug))) from across the Atlantic for you too!

Yes I'm up for an FB group - I love my April 2012 one.

ZingSweetApple · 08/02/2014 05:44

7 lots of people coming today to view house, a good offer is all we need, fx please!

NancyinCali · 08/02/2014 06:55

Fx zing!!

I'm just home from a mums' night out. Off to bed - it's way past my usual zonk out time (it's 11pm, gasp!). Catch up with you all later Smile.

BlueC2 · 08/02/2014 08:36

laday sending you a big hug!

zing hope all goes well today-7 viewings in one day is v good going!

I really must get up-DS seems to be having a lie in which is great though I should really have made the most of it and got a head start on my work!

Happy Saturday all!

Ps had good MW visit yesterday so am now officially booked in for a home birth and the hb team will do all my appointments from now (at home) and all my postnatal appointments (at home) too! For those having hospital birth in this borough they still have to go to the local children's centre for all antenatal and postnatal appointments so them coming to me was an unexpected perk! Now I just need to find some cash to get an inflatable birthing pool :) Actually quite excited!

Plateofcrumbs · 08/02/2014 08:49

laday sorry it wasn't more conclusive news for you DS. For what it's worth my dad was born with a heart problem (valve defect) and has been incredibly fit and active his whole life. They finally operated to give him an artificial valve when he was in his 60s and he's still climbing mountains now. My DH has a mild heart problem too and is the fittest person I know (spends half his life training for ridiculous endurance events)

Fx for a good offer zing

liquidstate · 08/02/2014 09:27

laday big vibes your way.

I had a great start to today. Been awake since 2am and have had to clear up dog vomit while having a bad nausea moment.

mummytobejuly2014 · 08/02/2014 09:46

how would we be invited to join fb group without outing ourselves here to ask for the request? sorry if its a daft question

ismarah · 08/02/2014 11:15

Fx Zing & good luck LaDay with DS.

I suddenly wondered yesterday if there were other first timers on here who had been with their DP/DH for years? We've been together since 2001, married since 2005 and this is our first bean.

And yes, how would the FB group work to set up with our MN pseudonyms?

Plateofcrumbs · 08/02/2014 11:15

Just been to first prenatal yoga class -most people there were less than 20 weeks so I didn't feel like a fraud! Despite having 9 hours sleep I still managed to doze off in the relaxation bit at the end!
