Last night my 3yo DD who is a bit obsessed with the baby was resting her head on my belly and she said "I can hear the baby wriggling! " I'm not sure that's true but it was lovely seeing her so engaged.

SleepyNess · 18/01/2014 10:29

DH felt the baby kick for the first time this morning! He's always bouncy as soon as I wake up so I put DH's hand on my bump and straight away he felt 3 really strong kicks! Very emotional! :))

Mitchell2 · 18/01/2014 10:30

How cool sleepy! What a great start to a day

MarlenaGru · 18/01/2014 11:12

Mine seems to be moving constantly at the moment! Very weird. Gone in a few days from bubbles to wriggles!

Dh went to get DD a sandwich for after her dance classes as we have only got an hour to get her changed and to tennis and asked for one too and he came back with only one. Major grump from me may have followed Blush

Liquidambar · 18/01/2014 11:48

Sorry, but just needed to share this... I hate this lack of control over emotional reactions. DH was told he has to travel this week for 2 weeks and I just burst into tears. Sad how am I going to survive without him and look after Ds while pregnant? what happens if I need something?
I know it's all very irrational... hormones! !! I hate pregnancy hormones

Mitchell2 · 18/01/2014 12:03

liquid I am with you, although I think in your situation I would have been upset preggo nor not. Two weeks is a while and not insignificant when your pg.

I'm current in bed still upset over something that happened yesterday at work with my boss. He was being an arse, and a few heated email were exchanged (he is overseas), normally I'd just move on but I'm still stewing on it and can't help it!

superlambanana · 18/01/2014 12:12

Aw sleepy Grin

Marlena, Mitchell and liquid - I would have grumped too in all your positions! Hope you're all feeling better.

Can't wait for DH to be able to feel the baby. Seems a bit unfair that only I can! Though I also have to deal with all the crappy bits too so maybe it's payback...

MarlenaGru · 18/01/2014 12:23

liquid I would have cried too!

summerbaby2014 · 18/01/2014 13:55

Sleepy- that's fab!! I was just saying to DH last night that I don't think it will be long until he'll be able to feel something. The last few days I've been able to feel it every day.
Although it certainly isn't active in the mornings, much like me really Grin

summerbaby2014 · 18/01/2014 13:56

Marlena- I hope you got your sandwich in the end!

wispaxmas · 18/01/2014 13:58

Super, at least you can feel your baby. I still have absolutely nothing!! 20+3 and not a peep!

MarlenaGru · 18/01/2014 14:44

I did thanks! I think dh knew he was beaten Wink

Majorly sad that my hairdresser is sick so I can't get my hair cut. I guess another week isn't the end of the world after this long.

Redcliff · 18/01/2014 14:58

Belly - that is so lovely. My DS is coming round to the idea and has "conversations" with baby sometimes which is sweet.

I can't wait for DP to be able to feel some kicks. The last couple a days I have felt lots of movement so hopefully soon..

mimi74 · 18/01/2014 15:17

Can't keep up with you lot! Had a few days off here too many messages to catch up on! Have added myself on here hope I've done it right....

Having a private gender/reassurance scan at 1pm tomorrow. I'm so impatient and can't wait until 20 week scan on 7th Feb, plus I just feel I need some reassurance due to constant drama surrounding me being pregnant and me been stressed and worried all the goddam time.

Anyone got experience of these early gender scans, I'll be 17+3 tomorrow, just hoping they can tell??!?

chestnutmare · 18/01/2014 16:53

I don't have any experience of the gender scans yet mimi74 but have one booked for next week so I'll be interested in hearing how it goes! I'm sure it will all be fine Smile

Bumblebeesmum · 18/01/2014 16:58

I nearly cried when driving around for ages struggling to find my friends house when sat nav took me to wrong place - at least 2 weeks left alone is an actual reason to cry! :)

Riblet · 18/01/2014 17:16

Sympathy and hugs to all you emotional ladies - I think anything justifies crying / moodiness when you're pg, even if it seems insignificant to others. I'm still in a strop with my boss but trying not to let it ruin my weekend.

Envious that so many of you can feel your babies move- nothing for me yet (am 19+3). Did wonder if I felt a little flutter yesterday but think it was probably wind!

DH had to go into work today so I've been getting on with loads of cleaning, washing and other chores - tiring but feel like I've achieved something. Also finally decided on a buggy (now that IS an achievement!) and ordered it - ex-display so a good price and my parents have offered to pay for it too Smile

Right, need to go and feed the cats - queen bee blind cat is stomping on my belly in protest (I'm sure she knows somehow!)

bellygazing · 18/01/2014 17:50

I didn't feel baby until something like 22 weeks last time - those of you who think it's wind might later realise it was your little wriggle Smile. Have had lots of movement from really early this time - it is amazing. Towards the end when it feels like you have a whale in a bag in your belly it is less magical...

CleverOl10 · 18/01/2014 18:06

My baby is a real wriggler but I think it helps that it's my second as I know that the wind like flutters are actually bouncy baby! Am slightly worried that they won't be able to tell the gender on Tuesday as it is so wriggly.

MarlenaGru · 18/01/2014 18:52

belly I have some videos of DD looking like an alien trying to break free!

Mitchell2 · 18/01/2014 19:12

18+5 and I am so jealous if your wriggles.... I wanna feel it!

BEEwitched · 18/01/2014 19:53

I've felt less the last couple of days and it's been driving my crazy, I want to poke my belly and go 'c'moooon, have a wriggle!'....

hackneybird · 18/01/2014 20:06

liquid I would have burst into tears at the prospect of no DH for two weeks as well! I've asked mine not to go out in the evenings at the moment as I am always so tired come bath and bed time and need the help.

I've suddenly had loads of movement in the last week and have had a couple of proper kicks, real belters. He/she is most active in the evenings and at night when I'm trying to get to sleep which is a worrying sign!

bee I remember when I was expecting my DS I used to feel concerned when I hadn't felt him for a couple of days, so would regularly poke my tummy. Sometimes I used to get a poke back, I loved that.

Liquidambar · 18/01/2014 21:44

Thanks everyone.
It has been an emotional day. Actually DH has been a little star (I think he was a bit shocked with my reaction Blush ) and he is trying to either find an alternative or he will negotiate the numbers of days he needs to be away.
In any case I have asked my mum to fly all the way here to help me. She has some work commitments so she might not be able to stay many days, but any help will be great.

I have been working since 7.30pm and I suspect this will be a long evening.
