Heheh, thanks all for comments about the wedding! It's not 'til this Friday coming, although it looks like we may not make it...

Pretty sure my water broke this morning Grin Just reading up on stuff (forgot everything I'd been told, brain turned to mush!), then gonna have a shower and ring the assessment unit - hopefully can just be checked and come home to see if contractions start naturally. No pain yet Confused

So, if I disappear, you know why! Hope it actually is happening, or it's gonna be embarrassing when I post back later that I'm ages off Wink

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday x.

IceNoSlice · 02/03/2014 08:23

Ooh good luck Em!

Unless there was meconium in the waters or you start having contractions however, they may not admit you to delivery suite/MLU. Obv see what they say - sounds like today could be the day!!!

FrankelInFoal · 02/03/2014 08:33

Wow, good luck Em, I was told to call MLU if waters go and they'll probably call you in for an assessment. If you're not dilated enough they'll send you home for 24 hours then check again.

Wishing you a sneeze-like birth Grin

commsgirl · 02/03/2014 08:55

Good luck Em!

I've got a horrible cold so not planning on moving much at all today! It'll be just my luck to go into labour now though.

Hope everyone's having lovely weekends.

mrsmugoo · 02/03/2014 09:16

Flumpinblues I get my actual date tomorrow - we could be on the same day! I'm really looking forward to finding out the date now and hope it's sooner rather than later as I'm SO uncomfortable with this little monster's head under my ribs - I can bend over, I can't sleep, I can't eat and I'm so sore from the ECV, they really manhandled me :(

Spending today filing my work emails and doing all my expense receipts so I can shut my laptop and not look at it again for at least 3 months!

mrsmugoo · 02/03/2014 09:16

So exciting hearing all these possible starts of labours! Wishing everyone lovely and sneezy births!

Fender1 · 02/03/2014 09:58

Good luck Em, hope everything goes well for you.Grin

EmFlat · 02/03/2014 10:50

bless you all Smile

Off to unit in a cpl hours for a check, their policy is 24 hours until induction is recommended... am bouncing away on birthing ball to try shifting him!

I've had a cold all week, and my sister did before her water broke too... just sayin' Wink could be a sign!

Oh Mrs, I'm sorry you're still aching after being manhandled Hmm that's really crappy. I think we'll all be glad for you when you're out the other side with a lovely little newborn in your arms!

Mummytobe2014 · 02/03/2014 11:17

Hi all, my little boy is due on the 10th march - anyone else due this day?
I thought my body was getting ready at the beginning of the week as my body seemed to be "clearing out" but sadly nothing has happened yet i havent experienced any BH and he is still sitting high, mw hasnt mentioned anything about head being engaged etc so jst sitting and waiting.
Although we have loads to do still before we are ready Smile

DitaVonCreamTeas · 02/03/2014 11:19

So exciting Em, best of luck with everything.

These babies are going to be like making popcorn in a saucepan; you wait ages and ages and nothing happens, then boom! everything goes at once. Grin

dizhin79 · 02/03/2014 12:01

good luck em hippie something does kick off!!

Hi Mummy are you a newbie to the group? You're very welcome to join us all not patiently waiting or little bundles of joy! I'm due on the 10th too, but I'm a first timer so fully expecting to go over Grin

dizhin79 · 02/03/2014 12:02

LyraSilvertongue · 02/03/2014 12:46

Fender1 · 02/03/2014 13:00

My EDD is the 10th too Diz and MTB2014 Grin
Had some cramps last night...
...then realised it was prob much much takeaway rather than bump getting going Hmm I'm ready in some respects, but still feel there's more to do IYSWIM?
Is everyone else packed and sorted? Thought is pop into town tomorrow to get some energy tablets / last minute sweep of boots to see what else I need.

Fender1 · 02/03/2014 13:02

Agggh ignore typos. V bad form sorry !

Mummytobe2014 · 02/03/2014 13:57

Hi Dizhin yep newbie to group it was jst added to the pregnancy page so thought i wld pop over and say hi, its such a long thread i just read last two pages lol.
Im a first timer too but am hoping to come early or at least on time as my dp will start new job 17th with no time off!
I havent spoken to anyone due the same day as me yet so this is exciting Smile
Fender lol to your take away comment - we are not ready really, still got to sort babies room get clothes organised and put away (awaiting chest of drawers) still need to finish hospital bag but other than that we r ready Grin i need some energy tablets but havent seen any!?

JustCallMeBaldrick · 02/03/2014 14:05

Popping in to say that my little Martian arrived safely on Friday 28 th Feb :)
It was a very short induced labour - 3.5 hrs from the drip going in to her arrival - on gas and air, 8lb 8oz, the biggest if my babies, and only a graze, no tearing or episiotomy.
I now have nipples that feel like they've been grated, and the rest of me feels like I've been hit by a bus...

DitaVonCreamTeas · 02/03/2014 14:37

Congratulations Baldrick great news, and a short labour too. Flowers

OwlinaTree · 02/03/2014 14:48

Congrats baldrick! Can we know the name? Enjoy the cuddles

commsgirl · 02/03/2014 14:57

Congrats Baldrick!

dizhin79 · 02/03/2014 15:02

congrats baldrick Grin

I've got bag sorted but am aiming for a home birth so that will hopefully not be required, I've got everything sort of sorted
just need to wash some nappies, collect cot (using it as a changing table with a cot top changer on it) and screw the doors on the wardrobe.

not had any major niggles yet few tightenings and some definite stretching of lower abdominal region as baby moves southwards.

Larty74 · 02/03/2014 15:09

Hello everyone! DS2 due on 18th (elcs unless hes got other ideas). Hows everyone feeling besides fed up?! Smile

Fender1 · 02/03/2014 17:39

Congratulations Baldrick Grin lets all hope for a sub four hour birth !
May I ask why you were induced? Get the Lansinoh on those nipples, best stuff ever invented for the early feeding days - our poor ouchy boobs don't know what hit them those first few weeks...

I feel a bit better knowing my EDD buddies are still pottering away too, I've got a quiet-ish week at work this week so will be able to get my last minute bits and bobs and hopefully OH will get the crib assembled.

Wonder77 · 02/03/2014 18:17

36+4 and need some time to sort rooms and house before this baby arrives! Hoping he/she will stay in there 'till about week38/9 :)!
