OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
WeeJo08 · 09/01/2014 10:09

Just took DD for her MMR & the other two injections. She was really brave & seems okay now, only cried directly afterwards & had stopped before we'd even left the treatment room. Wee superstar Smile Much braver than I would be having 3 injections!

HungryHorace · 09/01/2014 10:15

Good luck to those with scans today and I hope you're ok FEE.

I've 'welcomed' MS back this morning. I hate being sick before eating as all you get is acid / stomach lining. Yummy!

Midwife at 1pm for booking in. Finally doing something! Seems to have been ages since I found out.

2beornot · 09/01/2014 10:33

Morning!

I know I'm going to sound completely bonkers, but has anyone else felt baby move? I'm only 10+3 but I swear I've felt 'something'. Surely it's impossible that it's baby? With dd I didn't feel anything until 21 weeks (although she wasn't a big mover at all really)!

HungryHorace · 09/01/2014 10:47

I did last time, 2be. So it is possible. The sonographer confirmed it's possible. And DD was all over the shop inside me!

I think I've already felt something this time too, but am thinking I can't possibly have as I'm only 9 weeks today!

2beornot · 09/01/2014 11:00

Maybe it is then. I just felt it again. It seems to happen when I'm bent over (ie tying shoe laces) so maybe I'm squishing them a bit!

mssleepyhead · 09/01/2014 11:06

Just out of the EPU - tiny little blob, flickering heartbeat! 7+3, so pretty much what I thought. Amazing!

ImMarmite · 09/01/2014 11:10

I'm convinced I felt prawn move on Sunday- twice!! Got like a vibration/large butterfly feeling... GrinGrinGrin

babyspice2501 · 09/01/2014 11:14

Congratulations mssleepyhead!!! Really pleased for you!

Ive just been reading through the stages of labour and its made me really excited to give birth now! How mad am I! Although I must admit im terrified to push. Especially when they leave the decision to you like they did with no 2! I said I feel like I need to and they said if you want to then push! And I kept saying but I want you to tell me its time to push incase its not! And they wouldnt, just left it completely up to me which made me nervous to push! Anyone else had that with births?

ImMarmite · 09/01/2014 11:17

ItsSoFluffyImGonnaDie · 09/01/2014 11:22

mssleepy - that's fantastic news, so glad!

I woke up feeling like I hadn't slept, despite having a at least 7 hours, zzzzz. Today is going to be a loooong day.

HungryHorace · 09/01/2014 11:25

Awwww, such good news, mssleepyhead. :-)

Vibration / fluttering is what I've had too. It's fantastic!

CountdownBegins · 09/01/2014 12:00

Great news mssleepy!! So lovely to hear the heartbeat isn't it!

mssleepyhead · 09/01/2014 12:00

Have to go back to work now, but I'm feeling more than a little reluctant! Didn't sleep a whole lot last night, and my focus is, well, kind of else where...! I have no desire at all to go and debate with year 9!

mssleepyhead · 09/01/2014 12:01

countdown I saw the heartbeat rather than heard it! a little flickering white dot! Kind of glad, DH wasn't with me today and I'd like us to hear it for the first time together. Seeing it was still pretty brill though : )

mssleepyhead · 09/01/2014 12:16

Anyone ever had a bit of pinkish discharge after an internal scan? I'm not too worried as I often get this after smear, and sometimes after DTD, but just wanted some reassurance as the sonographer didn't mention anything about it.

lucyfluff · 09/01/2014 12:23

Yay mssleepy Grin fab news little bean is well! I think internal scans can irritate the cervix so pink tinging cm is fine Smile

Ive officially been to the GP today to tell them...she is letting the MW team know so I will get a letter in the post soon, hoping its not too long as I requested a non-local hospital and all my care has to be under the same team but glad I got my choice Smile

Still feeling starving all the time, and quite dizzy tooConfused or maybe thats just being busy and not resting enough. Getting nervous about tmrws scan!!!!

Shakshuka · 09/01/2014 12:38

Congrats sleepy. Glad alls ok.

Any news from fee?

I weighed myself this morning- I've put on 7lbs. Shit! Im only 10 weeks. That's not normal, is it? This is not good. I'm so worried abouy gestational diabetes and here i am setting myself up for it.

OveranxiousUnderated · 09/01/2014 12:51

Rejoining after originally posting on the first thread Smile

I'm 10+3 now and my scan is also on 24th January...think a couple of others said the same date?

My symptoms seem to be easing quite a bit too...part of me worried but I can't remember how I was with DD (3 years ago). X

OveranxiousUnderated · 09/01/2014 12:52

I have put on almost half a stone too, but I do eat pretty much all day every day...

DreamPhone · 09/01/2014 12:53

Just had a nice cup of tea and thread catch up Smile

Mssleepyhead that's such great news that your scan went well! Did they give you a piccy to show your DH? Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone nervously awaiting their scans.

My 12 week scan is on the 22nd but ever since we had the early scan I haven't been able to stop myself feeling totally excited and positive. I know that's silly and it's too early but I figure that if something is going to happen it's going to happen regardless and spending the next few weeks in a state of limbo worrying won't make it any easier to handle.

It's interesting reading about those with retroverted uterus / wombs - I've never had period pain anywhere but my lower back so am fully expecting this diagnosis myself!

2beornot · 09/01/2014 13:25

I weigh myself often and have put on nothing! I'm quite shocked but as I said to DH, it must take a lot of calories just to keep me going (am very overweight)! Hoping not to put on much at all as I am determined to go back to a healthy weight after this one for my health and my kids deserve a mum who isn't limited in what she can do with them!

Slight diversion there!

Over- that's three of us on the 24th then. I guess they're going to start happening thick and fast from now on!

Feelingfatty · 09/01/2014 13:27

Great news about the scan :) I had my early scan with dd without dh, the 12 week one is still just as special Smile

How are you doing fee??

I have put on 3 pounds so far Confused only supposed to be 2-4 pounds in first trimester! I'm only 8 weeks!! Don't think Xmas has helped!!

I have managed to stick my usual gym so far this week (three days so far) usually my last day at gym of the week today but I am so shattered and feel so iffy I just can't put myself through it!! Dh had worked late 2 nights this week and will be doing the same tonight so had dd from waking until bed so no rest! Don't think that's helped!! Oh well enjoying a rest now! Pop and telly Grin

How's everyone else doing? Only 2 more sleeps until my early scan!!

CountdownBegins · 09/01/2014 13:31

Ahh I see mssleepy- it is more 'magical' to have them there with you when you hear it- DP keeps saying how amazing it was :)

My 12 week is on the 27th- feels like ages away!

HungryHorace · 09/01/2014 14:33

Countdown, our scans are the same date. :-)

Just back from booking in appt. Got a debrief on DD's birth and had a little cry remembering it. :-( I was told that an ELCS will be fine, thank god.

Quite tired now. But we are sorting our room out to make more room in the house generally, so I can't go to sleep. :-/

Shakshuka · 09/01/2014 14:43

Im so annoyed with myself. Half a stone is ridiculous. Now that my nausea is wearing off, I'm going to be so careful.

Im sitting in the blood lab waiting room right now because my dr ordered a 1hr glucose tolerance test already because of my risk factors for gd. Just drank the disgusting drink, yuk!
