Good luck to FEE and mssleepyhead. I really hope everything's ok for both of you.

I'm not sure I could ever check my own cervix, however!

I almost puked on DH earlier. He was pleased, ha ha!

FEEdec · 08/01/2014 18:07

I used to be a midwife so I'm quite comfortable with cervix's Grin

FizzyPinkWine · 08/01/2014 18:20

Sending lots of luck and love to fee and mssleepy. Really hoping you get good news.

Not managed to post on here since starting back at school. Absolutely knackered. And I keep thinking today is Thursday...

Jenbee1 · 08/01/2014 18:25

Good luck to fee and mssleepy. I've got fingers and toes crossed for you both. Love the title of hath new thread.

mssleepyhead · 08/01/2014 18:40

Thanks for your support everyone and fee I hope you're doing ok. I told my boss today and she was so kind about it. I'm sure if you tell yours she will send you home and you should be able to get a scan very quickly. I called my doctors today and have a scan first thing tomorrow morning.

Feel much worse than I did last night, oddly, now I have a scan booked. I don't dawns to find out there's a problem on my own. I know there's nothing DH can do at all, but I'm terrified. Equally, I don't want the first time I see it, if everything's ok, to be on my own.

And I wish the doctor had just said: "a few drops of brown blood? Nah, that's nothing, you're fine!" Feels so much more real and more scary now...

RosesOnTheWane · 08/01/2014 19:18

Hope you are OK FEE, and thinking of you sleepyhead.

I had brown and pink bleeding through the whole first trimester with my twins (now 4 and tucked up in their beds).

I'm 9 weeks 2 days today and the sickness seems to have abated a bit today. Anyone else finding similar?

Ruggle · 08/01/2014 19:25

Roses, I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and still feeling sick as a dog. Thrown up twice today. Bleugh!

lucyfluff · 08/01/2014 19:26

Thinking of you too Fee...good news on the closed cervix. Can you try and rest/have an early night tonight. x

I have got bad baby brain already, just tried to log onto a webinar meeting all set with my notepad and its not until 21st jan Confused DH thinks Ive lost it!!!!

RosesOnTheWane · 08/01/2014 19:28

I was feeling rotten until yesterday. Boobs are a bit less sore too. Just done a quick MN search and sounds like it isn't uncommon as the placenta takes over. I hope it is that.

My belly is HUGE by the evening - I look 5 months pregnant when I get home from work. I am large anyway so I don't think anyone would dare to guess I was pg but it is really obvious to me...

CountdownBegins · 08/01/2014 19:29

Hope you are Ok Fee and sending positive thoughts your way.

Good luck for tomorrow sleepy I felt so nervous and sick last night I couldn't sleep until 1am and then had a massive nap today as soon as I finished my pile of work at home!

HalfPintPickle · 08/01/2014 19:33

Quickly scanned the thread as I've been so busy with work covering everybody I'm shattered at the end of the day!

Thinking of you Fee and mssleepy. Fingers crossed for you both.

My sure boobs are coming and going ATM, I'm thinking its because they're growing a bit!

londonchick · 08/01/2014 19:50

Hiya! Hope everyone is well. My fingers are crossed for you both Fee and Mssleepy.

Roses I think we have the same due date and my boobs feel less sore today too! Managed to eat a bit more than normal but still have the nausea.

Work is proving interesting. The shifts vary depending on who is in charge and how sympathetic they are towards pregnancy! You'd think all nurses would be sympathetic!!

I have a stitch-like pain in the left side tonight but been getting them on and off throughout and no cramping or bleeding. About to start work in a few mins so hopefully that'll take my mind off things.

Lovely to hear about all the positive scans. I have just less than 4 more weeks to mine. Am so impatient!!!

Lissbug · 08/01/2014 19:54

FEEdec - definitely go home if you can. Nothing worse than being stuck away from home when you are feeling like this. Hopefully you and mssleepyhead will be fine. I know exactly how you are both feeling and will be thinking of you both. Xx

eeyore2911 · 08/01/2014 20:17

Hoping all goes ok with beans FEE and sleepy Thanks

Abimci · 08/01/2014 20:21

Well I've been feeling much better the last few days although a little queasy again this evening. It has made work much easier though, was dreading it last week when I felt constantly sick. It's so weird how symptoms can change so rapidly but trying not to take it as a bad sign. Also trying to get as much as I can done whilst feeling better, even managed the gym yesterday!

I'm 8 weeks now based on lmp. When I saw the gp last week she said the hospital would write to me about antenatal appointments. Haven't heard anything yet. Would be nice to have a date for booking and first scan but oh well, I'll just have to wait I guess!

NameToBeDecided · 08/01/2014 20:33

Hope all is well with those with worries. Thanks the early days can be so stressful.

I had my second scan today, all looks good so feeling very relieved. I'm 9+5 and even saw it have a little wriggle on the screen. Only 3 weeks till I have an official scan Grin

mssleepyhead · 08/01/2014 20:35

i'll be about 7+3 tomorrow and i think it will be an internal scan. anyone had one about that time? if things are ok do you think i might see a heartbeat?

travispickles · 08/01/2014 20:45

Anyone else find tiredness makes sickness worse? Although I have found ovaltine strangely comforting!

NameToBeDecided · 08/01/2014 20:46

If things are ok I think you should be able to see the heartbeat. Internals aren't so bad, I find a smear test is worse so if you're ok with them you'll be fine.

Feelingfatty · 08/01/2014 20:49

Name to be that's great news :)

Mssleepy I think unless you are particularly overweight you should be able to have an abdominal scan tomorrow. I had a scan at 6 ish weeks with dd and it was done through tummy and could and could see hb.

I have my private scan on Saturday and will be 8 + 2 and I'm assuming it'll be tummy as should be able to see it all by then Smile

RosesOnTheWane · 08/01/2014 20:51

Hi sleepy, I am a size 18/20 and they did an external scan at 6W6D for me and could see everything they needed to.
ALl the very best for tomorrow

ItsSoFluffyImGonnaDie · 08/01/2014 20:54

Wow, I've managed to miss a whole thread! Anyway, here now Smile

FEE and mssleepy, thinking of you both. Mssleepy i has an early scan at 8+2 and saw the heartbeat so i would guess there's a chance you'll see one too? FX you do.

10+4 today (11 going by lmp) and feel like i'm starting to turn a corner. Nausea has pretty much passed and I've started to enjoy eating again. I now have random hunger about 10 minutes after getting inti bed, anyone else had that? Mini cheddars tend to do the trick though Grin

Booking app was NYE and 12 week scan is in one week, no idea how I'm going to manage to wait that long, it seems an eternity away!!!

NameToBeDecided · 08/01/2014 20:55

Thanks Fellingfatty. Don't worry if you have to have an internal tho, I'm 9+5 and had to have internal today as I've got a retroverted uterus (it tilts back towards the spine instead of forward) so really difficult to get a decent view up till about 12 weeks. I'm not big, just wonky!!

NameToBeDecided · 08/01/2014 20:56

That was meant for mssleepy!!

Lissbug · 08/01/2014 20:58

I had an internal scan at 7+1 and saw the heartbeat. It was wonderful to see but I am anxious now about my next one which is a week tomorrow.
