I had my NT scan today, shows fluid as 1.5mm, they took blood so got a week to wait for my combined test results. The pool of blood is still there but as it's not changed and baby seems OK they are not worried. Never had a scan at actual 12 weeks before, normally at 10, was surprised how developed the baby looked and it was moving about so much.

I'm still feeling sick most evenings, getting more sleep as my youngest has stopped shouting all night for me to go in to him, hoping it lasts.

1.5mm is well within normal I think Kirsty. It is amazing isn't it how person-like they are when they're still so tiny!

Hope everyone's getting plenty of sleep.

We did have DS2 crawl into our bed last night but he went straight back to sleep and didn't wriggle so that was fine. We always co-slept and he was bf to 2+ years so he's very tactile and usually won't sleep without his hands down my top trying to grab hold of something.

A bit more sleep happening in our house now. Not perfect but survivable now.

Why are kids so fascinated with boobs? Dd2 is constantly hitting mine or putting things down my top. Crazy beasts!

No news still. So fed up. Was in the hospital yesterday and she said it might be Wednesday but then "they often come in late in the day so we might have left". Feel like I'm never going to hear.

Am so relieved. Had just about got to the end of my sanity this morning.

Still.... off for a private scan in the morning cause I just want to know everything still definitely definitely ok before we tell the boys and other people.

In other news little sleep last night - not boys this time but unholy screaming from next door at 3am followed quickly by police arriving and bundling one of the tenants into the back of their van. Took hours to get back to sleep after all that excitement.....

And on the way into town on the bus with ds2 I spotted a flash of polka dot under his trousers and realised he'dsomehow managed to sneak my pants on I never noticed when i put his trousers on - he'd put both legs through one leg hole and hitched them up around his waist. A real mummy's boy

Definitely girls! Proper mini bump. Not put on any weights yet though which is good!

I have a bump! Looks more like a beer belly though under the covers.

We told the boys last night - ds1 (6) very very happy. Ds2 (2) been peering down my top trying to spot the baby and when dp brought him home tonight rushed up shouting "baby come out???"
Going to be a long six months!

Oh and I think I know the gender!!!! Sonographer yesterday seemed sureish based on "nub". I googled and found a study saying 94% accurate at 14 weeks.

But I have banned dp from telling anyone and I want to keep it secret. Not sure why, just nice having something to ourselves.

Great to read posts and positive news.
Just checking in ... I'm the one expecting twins... bump huge already! ! Acc to midwife I will be about 5 weeks bigger than normal.
No longer feeling sick but mega tired.
Can't wait to find out gender. Got 2 boys already.

That's good Have you that you might know the gender already, we're thinking of getting one at 16 weeks to find out. I was really sick again this week, damaged my throat in the process and it felt blocked all night and for the next day. It seems better now. My letter was here when I got in last night, low result of 1 in 44,000, was a bit worried it was wrong as never had one that low before but never had an NT measurement before.

I'm already checking my blood sugars, as had GD in both previous pregnancies, already have a supply of Metformin so if they go higher I can start taking them straight away. It does mean I might end up with a late August baby instead.

Glad to hear people are starting to feel better, I'm hoping for some energy soon to catch up with all my housework which has been neglected for quite a while!

So pleased everyone doing well.

I am starting to show - almost 15 weeks. With dd2 didn't show until well after 20 weeks so am feeling weird. Soooooo tired still.
We are still undecided whether to find out the gender.

Kirsty having spent a fair time googling the screening results I saw quite a lot of people worried their very low results must be a mistake! So don't worry.

This week has been such a turning point for me. I'm finally feeling happy and positive about things and physically significantly better. I've put a lot of clothes in the loft and got my maternity clothes out, started a tidy / sort out of house, and bought new boots and make up.

Did have to remind my manager not to expect too muchfrom me, esespecially in the afternoons! He has cchucked me in at the deep end of something very tricky- annoying cause at any other time it would be a great opportunity.

I got my screening results back - after 10 days here! 1 in 10000 so that's great. Think dd1 was one in 22000 though so I'm guessing the main difference is me being 4.5 years older!

Dh going off the idea of a private gender scan unless I can get a really cheap one... Am off to google now! I don't think I can wait till May!

Nub theory is explained here. At 12 weeks you can see in the table it gives 84% accuracy.... I asked my obstetrician friend how reliable my prediction was at 14 weeks and she said pretty reliable!

Dh thinks we shouldn't either but he has wound me up this week so his punishment will be me booking one :)

How is everyone? Bumps out? Got myself a few maternity tops yesterday and it's really nice wearing them as they make it a definite bump, rather than the baggy stuff I was wearing before which made me look enormous.
I gave away a load of nice maternity stuff last year and am struggling to find decent long sleeved ruched tops. I was to see crave maternity folded last year as their clothes were all brilliant.
