Just wanted to say good luck for the babies due today! Xx

clara85 · 02/09/2014 08:51

Cant wait to read birth stories :)

Kirsty770 · 02/09/2014 09:29

I'm still in hospital being induced. Had 24 hour pessary in then they will check 1 hour after removal if I can go to delivery for my waters to be broken or need a 6 hour gel. Looks like I'm not going to be home tomorrow to see my oldest boy off to school on his first day back either way. Really missing them.

Hope everyone else getting on ok.

pommedeterre · 02/09/2014 11:18

I have had my waters broken this am post the 24 hour pessary now waiting for a drip. He needs to get out by 18.30 for my medication! Eek.

kirsty - that's a shame about school but there are lots of school runs to come. Will his daddy take him?

Im really missing my girls too. Sent dh home last night as nothing major was happening so they at least saw him this am before he came back.

Good luck kirsty and have hope you have everything ready for thurs.

HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 02/09/2014 14:23

Great to hear from you both. Two babies by the end of the day I hope?
I really hope the births go well and swiftly for you. Look forward to news!

Hi everyone, have been meaning to post for a bit.... My dd3 was born 3 weeks ago! She was 5 weeks premature (due date 9 sept). I went into pre labour spontaneously, went to be monitored at hospital and once I went into active labour it only took 2 hours before she was born! She is teeny 4lbs 14 oz but incredibly strong - no special care needed and after monitoring herd for 48 hours we were discharged. I had some issues with vey high blood pressure post delivery but 3 weeks on it is starting to settle and hopefully will be off medication soon. I am exhausted as she needs a lot of feeding but very happy and the older dds are besotted with her.

Good luck to pomme and Kirsty and look forward to hearing good news and stories xx

HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 02/09/2014 18:16

Oh my goodness! Our first baby! Huge congratulations. Sorry to hear you've had some issues -hope you continue to improve. And must have been a bit alarming at the time. My actual due date is 8th, so it's strange to think your baby's already three weeks old.
Congrats again!

Kirsty770 · 02/09/2014 20:50

I'm still waiting for my baby! Had pessary then gel as waters looked hard to break, now could break waters but long queue to get down to delivery suite, so could be waiting for morning before there is a gap. Thought third babies were meant to be quicker!

Congratulations, getting your baby early, glad it went ok.

HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 02/09/2014 21:21

That sounds rubbish Kirsty. You must be a bit fed up! Well, I'm not sleeping that much at the moment so let us know any updates overnight - I might well be around to go through it with you!
(Period type pain for the last four or five hours, keeps coming and going..... hmmm. Not sore enough to not sleep but enough to get me too excited to sleep!)
Hope all went well with you Pomme.

Girlsville · 02/09/2014 22:52

Thank you! Can't quite believe she is over 3 weeks when actually she is still minus 1 week. Have to say despite the sleepless nights it is amazing to have a little baby in the house again, I had forgotten that sense of awe and love you get looking at your newborn!
The dd1 and dd2 start reception and pre reception on Thursday..... Dd1 very nervous and am aware there is a lot of change for her at the moment so who knows what will happen!!

Kirsty770 · 03/09/2014 05:29

No updates from me, had a show this morning and slept surprisingly well considering I'm on a full ward. The girl next to me was second on the urgent list to go down to delivery but appears to still be here too. Hopefully we will both go down this morning.

Having no pains so expecting to be on drip today which I'm not looking forward to. Hopefully things will progress at a quicker rate today.

Hope Pomme got on better and has her baby now.

pommedeterre · 03/09/2014 09:50

I have baby Sam now! Got on the drip yesterday at midday post a very brutal breaking of waters. All good bar last two hours but we are both fine.

Hope all goes well for you today kirsty-!

pommedeterre · 03/09/2014 09:52

Congratulations girls!

HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 03/09/2014 11:55

Congratulations Pomme!

Hope things are progressing Kirsty.

Just dashing out, slight family crisis but shall be on to find out more later.

HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 03/09/2014 14:19

So how is baby Sam pomme? How does it feel to have a boy? And have you escaped without too much damage?

HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 03/09/2014 18:18

Me again. 9am slot for theatre. Am beginning to feel....more than nervous, but less thsn scared.
My mil has been staying with us for a while to help and she got a call this morning to say her brother had died Sad. Only 68, very fit and healthy, completely out of the blue. So it hasn't been the day we had planned really and haven't dwelt on baby things at all.

clara85 · 04/09/2014 08:16

Congrats to Pomme and hope Kirsty & Have all goes well today :)

Kirsty770 · 04/09/2014 08:28

Congratulations Pomme and good luck for today Have.

Baby boy arrived this morning at 4.55am, am exhausted as no sleep yet. Think were calling him Samuel, although not fully agreed yet. He was only 6 3 1/2 at 38+5. Will need to stay in for blood sugars and waiting now for a bed on post natal, both mine and his temperatures are low. He's fed already and been awake since he was born.

Looking forward to more baby news later. x

Passthebiscuitspls · 04/09/2014 13:36

Congrats Pomme and Kirsty fantastic news!!

Good luck for the morning Have

Xx

clara85 · 04/09/2014 13:52

Congrats Kirsty hope you get some sleep soon and blood sugars all ok x

pommedeterre · 04/09/2014 13:56

Good luck have!

Huge congrats kirsty and snap on the name! Hope you're having a nap now!

HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 04/09/2014 19:46

Congratulations Kirsty - you beat me by a few hours. Hope your baby has slept by now!

Baby Iona arrived just after 9, 7lbs 10, and things are going well!

Boys came in to visit this afternoon and were pretty happy and excited. Think ds2 is rather confused by it all though!

Kirsty770 · 05/09/2014 09:24

Congratulations Have, lovely name, how are you feeling now?

Got home last night, he had a good block of sleep as tried to wake him to feed but wouldn't. He finally passed all his blood sugar checks yesterday but was checked for jaundice, so needs his feeds to help that.

HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 05/09/2014 09:47

Hi - not having the greatest morning! Iona's blood sugar wasn't good overnight so been topping up with a beaker of formula - which has worked really well she's obviously not getting enough calories from bm for one reason or another.

I've been really worried about going for a wee aftee catheter taken out as it was a nightmare last time. Well I got the catheter out last night and was really pleased with myself for being on my feet the same day. Well, catheter just been put back in Sad cause I just can't do a wee.

After pains have been horrendous. I never really noticed them before but apparently they get worse after number three. Am on morphine for them..... Anyone else had them this time?

Sorry for such a down in the dumps report! I had an hour and a half of sleep and raw nipples but that just feels par for the course!

Hope everyone's ok.

Passthebiscuitspls · 05/09/2014 09:47

Ahhh congrats Have gorgeous name!!
