I was told to hand express to increase blood sugars as his first one was low. Managed nothing and he wouldn't feed either as too sleepy, tried to squeeze in his mouth but she checked an hour later and had gone up then kept increasing. I had to feed after the check then test again 3 laters before another feed. Luckily his went up each time, last check was 7.15 so didn't get home until late. Hope yours improve with feeding Have.

My after pains have been awful, just felt like labour again, I had also read they were worse with third. Especially bad when feeding.

I escaped stitches this time, didn't realise previously that is them that has made toilet trips afterwards so much harder and painful.

I need more tiny baby clothes, don't seem to have many left from my eldest.

My nipples are so sore after a long period of feeding last night, had got Lansinoh cream in preparation but not helping lots so far.

Love the name have - hope all babies blood sugars are stable now.

We have jaundice over here and he's been a bit sleepy about feeding, quite a few 6 hour gaps. Also a lot of bright yellow colostrum vomits. Milk has come in this am and he seems happier.

I had some bad after birth pains have although not as bad as yours as no morphine! Better now. My pain issue is the most horrendous painful piles. Grim! Can't sit down properly. Midwife asked for some steroid cream for me to be left at pharmacy, dh gone to fetch it now.

Hope you've had a wee now have. I had slightly forgotten the reality of post birth bodies if I'm honest!

In response to your piles pomme I'll offer trapped wind. Hideous. Also could not sit down! Been trailing round the ward all night carrying my catheter bag trying to get things on the move Grin. There have been many tears.

Good news this morning though, did a wee and got discharged! Plus a three hour sleep last night so feeling much better all round. Now just got to deal with all the bf issues, milk just coming in now and nipples already mangled. Familiar territory though so I know what to do.

DP, btw, has a cold. A very very bad cold indeed. Luckily he hasn't dared complain but he has been moping around, barely able to string a sentence together, pale, exhausted, had to go straight to bed when we got home. I feel so mean Grin but my sympathy has been non existent!

HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 06/09/2014 17:07

Hope the piles improve btw. There's nothing worse than bottom problems....

Hows everyone doing? Babies doing well?

My midwife coming tomorrow to weigh baby and hopefully sign me off. They have only been twice so far. Health visitor is coming on Thursday.

I seem to be getting less sleep each night, he only goes 1 or 2 hours between feeds at night at the moment, was 3-4 hours. Feeding is still painful. I've asked for them to check for tongue tie as my last child had it and was diagnosed late on. I saw his tongue this morning and think it looks right at the end. See if they can see it tomorrow.

I'm on my own for the first time with all 3 children. Luckily Samuel has been sleeping in his pram since getting back from school so getting on with tea and then hoping for a feed and a settle before bathtime begins, might just go to bed early tonight if he's not feeding all evening as my boyfriend not due back until 11.30 from work.

Hope everyone else is ok and having 3 is not too hard!

Hello - hope everyone's ok! Been waiting for some proper time to do a decent update but realise that's never going to happen.....

We're moving into our new house in Scotland tomorrow. It's been a very full on few weeks organising the move, getting our house ready to let and dealing with a newborn!

Feeding is now properly established but it was a bit of a nightmare for a while and I also had a really nasty case of mastitis. All good now and she's finally filling out and getting a bit of heft on her!
