Hi everyone

Sorry I haven't been on for a while, have been feeling absolutely dreadful. My mum has DS2 this morning so I am on the sofa in front of daytime tv.

Kirsty- hope you are ok - hopefully the bleeding stops soon and no more worries for you.

Clara - that is odd; I've never heard of that before. Did they tell you what it might be? Must have been nerve wracking searching for the heartbeat.....

9+1 today and my 12 week scan is on 26th Feb. Think I'm going to hold on for that now. I certainly feel horrible enough to be reassured....

Both my previous pregnancies were horrible - but this is worse! Have just posted on the What do you eat when pregnant thread - currently on irn bru, croissants and custard. The only thing I can think about is please get better at 12 weeks.... trying to remember what I was doing at certain weeks last time and I know we were on holiday at 16 weeks and I have nice memories so that's something to focus on!

Tube strike for the rest of the week and my line to work is going to be down for two or three days. I could get the overground but the last time I did that during a strike it took three hours with all the crowding. So think I shall be working from home and probably spending a long time lying down!

(DS1 (just turned 6) made my day at the weekend. I was prone on the sofa and could hear him pottering about in the kitchen. He appeared bearing a tray with a pint of orange juice, an apple, an orange and a chocolate pudding, and a card with a heart on it and dir mummy I luv you. Smile

stinkypants · 08/02/2014 20:14

Hi all
Great to read posts, I too feel rubbish esp afternoon and evening.
Have two ds' s and number 3 due in August. Didn't feel sick at all with prev pregnancies so this is a shocker!
Good luck all, esp if have 2 very little ones. Mine are 3 and 5 so not too bad.
Both still wake in night though for a cuddle or cos have wet the bed! !

Kirsty770 · 10/02/2014 10:52

Hi all, Stinky pants, I'm exactly the same, feel dreadful in the afternoon and evenings. Was sick just before bed last night then couldn't sleep as my throat was burning.

My bleeding has stopped but I have antibiotics for a bacterial infection. I'm just tired and can't be bothered at all. Half term next week when the children are off won't be fun but at least I won't be rushing around first thing in the morning on the days I'm not in work.

Hope were all feeling better soon. I'm 9 weeks but got my 12 week scan next week, hopefully they can get all the measurements despite it being a bit early.

stinkypants · 10/02/2014 20:35

OMG - It's TWINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OrangeFizz99 · 10/02/2014 20:37

OMG

Twins!!! That's brilliant I think! Isn't it? Massive shock though!

How you feeling stinky? Has it sunk in?

OP posts:
stinkypants · 10/02/2014 20:43

Phew.... yes I think it's brilliant...!
We had bleeding over the weekend so was going in to the scan today with low expectations. First of all she said everything is absolutely fine, at which point I burst into tears with relief.
then she said 'There's a little bit of a surprise for you...'
AARRGGHHHH!
Hasn't sunk in yet. I know nothing so am madly googling.
Husband is madly looking at cars on internet.

OrangeFizz99 · 10/02/2014 21:20

They always go to the cars first!

Hi, very early days but can I join? By my reckoning (well, the due date calculator) I'm 4 weeks with a due date of 18/10. DS1 id 9 and DS2 id 20 months. This little one was planned and happened first month trying- lovely but sooner than expected!

Congratulations Stickypants- that's wonderful news for you.

Kirsty- glad the bleeding has stopped. Hope next week isn't too awful for you.

We're in the middle of renovating a house so I'm thinking that may have to happen a little more quickly. Other than that, my only major concern (other than getting to 3 month scan okay) is whether my mum can cope watching two little ones as I work three days. Bit too early to ask her. We told close friends/family straight away last time but this time we want to wait a bit and enjoy the secret as it's (probably) the last time we'll do this.

OrangeFizz99 · 11/02/2014 07:28

Welcome wiggy! Congratulations!

This isn't the fastest moving thread (all the children!) but it's nice to share with people going through the same things.

I have two dds - nearly 4 and 2. Dh is convinced this one is going to be a boy but dd1 says she only wants a baby if it's a girl!

OP posts:
Wiggy29 · 12/02/2014 22:47

Hi orange. I have two boys and would gladly have another! I'm sure if I have a girl I'll love her equally but I'm biased towards boys at the moment!

Grannyapple · 15/02/2014 06:51

Hey...can I tentatively join? Just found out part night I'm
pg with no 3...bit of a shock to be honest & wasn't exactly on the lifeplan as such...but still pleased & surprised. DS is 3 in 2 wks & DD is 6.5 months!

Now just trying to get my head around the practical stuff...defo need a new car & just trying to figure out living arrangements...currently in a 2 bed flat but have an architect coming this morning to discuss splitting a large bedroom into 2 to create a 3rd..

I had just started getting rid of the baby stuff as well to a friend who's just had a baby...

Grannyapple · 15/02/2014 06:52

Part night = last night...tsk!

OrangeFizz99 · 15/02/2014 18:20

Congratulations granny. I am 9.5 weeks, knackered, pretty much showing already and farting pretty much continuously so lots to look forward to :)

Thank you orange..think I'm just 5 wks today...trying to figure out what to do about work etc as still on mat leave for DD...will be 16 wks when I go back...& defo showing Hmm

HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 16/02/2014 22:34

Evening Smile

Welcome to the new recruits and stinky - how are you? What a surprise. ... a lovely surprise Smile

Well am eleven weeks in an hour and a half and dare I say it the last couple of days not been quite so bad. Managed to eat some small meals and not feel like I was going to die afterwards.

However this is with benefit of a week off work plus my MIL coming to look after us for a week plus now we're at theirs and me and DP going off to a cottage for a few days on our own. Real life this is not!

Not really showing yet but have lost weight and my tummy sticks out normally so hard to tell....

stinkypants · 17/02/2014 07:46

Morning
Welcome and Hello all.
That's great, have you tried, a cottage break- think we need to get something planned before i am too enormous! !
Yesterday I didn't feel sick at all. .. Was so nice! Hope it continues. Am 13 weeks now.
Granny I hope u are getting used to the idea! They'll all be great little mates. We are also wondering what car to go for that fits 4 kids!
My boys are very excited about the twins and saying very cute stuff .
Grin

OrangeFizz99 · 17/02/2014 11:17

My weight has stayed stable but my normally ok tummy is all rounded and out there, belly button even appears to be starting to stick out! In all other pgs have put on weight by this point so legs and bum not already being wobbly is feeling good!

I am starting to have a few sicky moments (10 weeks nearly) and my teeth hurt, they think I have a bladder infection and my throat hurts. Feeling a bit sorry for myself now.

Glad to hear you're feeling ok Have, doesn't matter if its not real life, its still relief!

DD2 did her first night in a big bed last night, she hasn't worked out she can get out yet so went fine! She keeps sticking her head up my top/dress and yelling 'BABY' at the top of her voice. She is an utter loon.

Keep veering between being incredibly excited and utterly terrified. Need to get to the 12 week scan first I think!

Hi everyone and welcome to all new joiners.

Am approaching 11 weeks and feeling a bit better and less nauseous. Have my midwife appt this Friday and scan a week on Friday.

Today dd1 ( just turned 4) asked me when we could have a baby like her friends.....

stinkypants · 22/02/2014 07:14

It's great that older siblings just love The idea of babies! They are the most excited of everyone I think! So cute.

Kirsty770 · 23/02/2014 14:10

Hi, sorry been missing for a while, still been feeling nauseous and being sick sometimes. I had my scan on Thursday, everything seemed ok, the blood was still showing and have been bleeding a bit still, so going for another scan in 2 weeks, to check the blood again.

Glad others are starting to feel better now, I am 11 weeks so hoping I do too. It has started to get better in the day, evenings are still awful though.

HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 25/02/2014 22:19

Off for my first scan tomorrow. Wish me luck!

12 weeks and the recovery continues but it'a pretty slow and I still feel sick / tired / headachey an awful lot of the time.

Hope everyone else is ok.

Girlsville · 26/02/2014 12:24

How is everyone? Good luck for your scan Haveyou.

My scan is on Friday - nervous! Think I am about 12 weeks. My BP is a bit high which is making me feel anxious.

Good luck to everyone.

Orangefizz99 · 26/02/2014 13:43

Oo lots of scans! Good luck everyone! How did it go Have?

Mine is next wednesday, another week, feeling very impatient now.

Still knackered, have thrush and really sore shoulder and wrist joints. Would quite like the next bit to hurry up!

OP posts:
HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 26/02/2014 16:06

Hi - well my scan was ok but combined risk of 1/37 for downs Sad

Gone for the blood test rather than anything invasive for now but results will take two weeks.

I know it's still quite unlikely. But we were so happy everything seemed ok and were really looking forward to telling the boys. Can't tell anyone now, don't really want to look at the pictures and I'm definitely showing now so don't want to go out or see anyone.

Hopefully I'll be able to get it a bit more in perspective in a bit but it's going to be a long couple of weeks.

pommedeterre · 27/02/2014 09:51

Oh have that is a worry. I would feel exactly like you I think. Is that an extra blood test? Here our combined test includes a blood test.

Two weeks is a long time, definitely no way they can hurry this up for you?

So sorry this worry has come out of your scan have. Be kind to yourself. Have you got a friend or relative to share this with?
