Kif · 23/08/2006 12:50

Hi all
I have not found any stretchmarks yet - but everybody is really shocked when i tell them i am 29 weeks and comment on how small i am!! But then i never realised that our size at pg is so scientific as we are all different shapes and sizes normally anyhow so why is a bump to big or to small?

NJ with ref to ebay if you get no joy you can also register a complaint with ebay itself and the seller can be suspended until resolved.

catch up later eeyoreuk

NatalieJane · 23/08/2006 14:07

I have started a dispute through PayPal, had no reply from the seller yet, but it says I have up to 20 days for either her to decide she will refund me, or for me to put a proper formal complaint in, I will give her the time unless she comes back with an answer which makes it obvious that she is not going to refund at all. She says she will refund what we paid for it, but not the P&P that I paid for at the time of auction or for the P&P to return them to her, which if we had just changed our minds then that would be more than fair, but since she has blantently lied on the auction, I don't see why we should be out of pocket at all. If we'd have wanted used ones, we could have used the ones we have from DS, or paid a lot less for them elsewhere! GRRR, It really get's my goat when people can't be honest!! LOL

I think once DS starts school (on the 11th Sept. can't believe he is big enough for school!!) I will knuckle down to at least getting things organised for Christmas, I am also hoping to have it all sorted and done before the baby arrives but it will depend on how much more the room is going to cost, I may well be pushing a new born round town trying to get everything together!! I lurve christmas!!

HopingCat · 23/08/2006 14:55

I'm another one who doesn't have leaky boobs, but they do get itchy for some reason.

I am hoping to do a lot of my xmas shopping on the internet. I can't think of good presents for people at the moment, it seems too early, so I'll order lots of catalogues to look through when I'm on maternity leave and then go shopping on the internet wherever I can.

I don't go on mat leave until 12th October, and work is so boring at the moment that it seems to be really dragging. But I know that if baby is late I could be at home for up to 5 weeks before he/she arrives, and then I really will be fed up!

LeBe · 23/08/2006 14:59

I have had short sharp pains in my right boob for last few days mmm... Welcome Lebe

Kif · 23/08/2006 16:10

Someone told me itchy means strech marks are coming (do I only have one thing on the mind?). Slather your boobs with cocoa butter.

Mummy2Toby · 23/08/2006 16:25

stacey - Do send off for the surestart, I got a letter the other day saying I would get it and that it would be paid straight into my account, so deffo send yours off
nj - how annoying, I have also been caught out on Ebay before now like this, people buy anything from their so there is no need not to be honest - I am sure she would have got a buyer for them anyway
Don't know if you saw a previous post I did but if you look on the early essentials website and see any moniters or anything you would like, let me know and I can do it for cheaper for you as I have just started as an advisor for them (Cheeky emotion)
It's funny you should mention the leaky boobs - have just been for a Wimpy with my mum and she said I had a satin on my top - when I looked it was leakage from my left side good job I have breast pads left from pg with ds

podglet · 23/08/2006 17:16

Hi Lebe - congrats on your pg - this is my first too! How have you been feeling? Feel free to add yourself to the stats list which is somewhere on this thread, just copy, paste and add yourself in!

Have been checking my boobs all day (thank goodness on my own at home - would look v odd in the office )and I can safely say that there is still no leakage but my tummy seems to itch before I have a growth spurt - anyone else have this?

NatalieJane · 23/08/2006 17:43

Welcome Lebe

M2T - I do only normally buy from the eBay shops, I will just stick to them in future, it is a shame that people let the rest down, as you say, someone else would have bought them if I hadn't done, there were plenty of people who had bidded on them before I did! It is like I said though, as much as the messing around it causes, the most annoying thing is how people just can't be truthfull, how she thought we wouldn't realise they weren't new is beyond me!

Anyway, she hasn't made any reply to the dispute so I guess it will be down to PayPal to decide what to do?!

NatalieJane · 23/08/2006 17:44

Forgot to say, LOLOLOL Podglet, I have got so many visions of MNers running around checking their boob leakage LOL

Evening ladies. Interesting midwife visit today.

Baby (which was already suspected to be born around 9lb 7oz) is measuring 4 weeks to big! It is also apparently laying in a very awkward position and she said it may have grown to big to move into an easy position which is why my kicks are so strong as it's struggling to move itself but can't cant quite manage. Im being checked again in 4 weeks and if its still growing at the same rate and not moved it will be a deffo c/section.

She said there is a small possibility it may slow its growing down and manage to move itself but i will probably have to have a c section at 37 weeks as i am a very small framed lady and wont beable to push a huge baby out.

I also had my anti-D injection which went right into my thicgh muscle and hurt! They take it from someone elses blood its funny to think i have some one elses blood in me!

Apart from that im fine and so is baby.

I hope your all ok to.

velcrobott · 23/08/2006 19:08

Spinach Well I was told EDS would not affect my pregnancy and birth (by my uncle who knows a hell of a lot about EDS) - he is a geneticist and specialist pead - and I have to say I have to agree as I had what everyone else has.... nothing better/worst!
Hence my surprise at the other poster who asked and was offered a section... but then I know that many ill informed OB and MW recommend a section for SPD when I know that on the whole it is better to avoid an op for this particular problem if there are no other reasons for a section... unless SPD has cracked your pelvis ! Do you remember Pie, she had very severe SPD (was in wheelchair) and she had a quick good birth... so did I ! The pain of SPD is not an issue in labour... labour pain tend to overide those !!!
Yes SPD was awful with pregnancy number 2 but I don't have it at all this time !
Why are you having a section if you don't mind me asking?
Charlee - I have declined anti-d for just that reason .... MW was OK with my choice (my 1st 2 kids are RH- too so I am in the clear anyway). Hope baby gets to be a normal size for you

NatalieJane · 23/08/2006 20:00

Eeyore, I do always check the feedback, this one has 100%, well only until I leave my very negative one!!

Mummy2Toby · 23/08/2006 20:06

Charlee - I have had sooo many friends lately who have been told that thier baby is too big/small etc and when they were born were completely normal size, I think it is so hard for them to tell really, so I would go with whatever you feel comfortable with
Well dh has just told me tha he has booked next week off of work - so at last we can start to get ds's new big boys room ready for him, because I want him in it and settled before the baby comes saying that, dh will probably be no help at all and spend the week fishing I hope that he doesn't - he must know that he is on thin ice at the moment after his latest performance. Mind you he came home from work today and then went straight back out with his nephew to do a couple of hours work to get the extra money for us (doing the same tomorrow aswell) so I might make an allowance.

staceym11 · 23/08/2006 20:47

Hi Lebe

That is so annoying for you Stacey about the ebay issue. I have bought and sold a couple things on there but always worry about that happening. Hopefully Paypal can sort it out for you.
