My verrrrrry faint line earlier gives me an edd of 27 august so I'm going to straddle the two threads providing I get a strong bfp tomorrow (which I should do!!)

Happy Christmas everyone!!!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Newlywed2013 · 28/12/2013 10:39

Bed you must be so excited! The best part of my wedding was being in a bubble with husband saying our vows! He vowed to be big spoon I vowed to be little spoon so it looks like bfp will be baby spoon! :-)
Enjoy every moment!

Woken up so excited today!!!

isitme1 · 28/12/2013 10:47

Can I joim please.
This is a surprise.

Ds2 is only 5months!!!

DearDinah · 28/12/2013 11:08

Gosh isitme ! Congrats! What a busy time you're in for, at least your children will be close, my brother is 9 years older than me & we've never been close.
cheddar I told my MIL on Xmas day & she wasn't very excited, said she didn't want me to be heartbroken, she's sadly dying of cancer so in quite a pessimistic place, be better when I've got a scan in my hand, hope she's still here. I'm still telling people I'm close too, we've been trying for a while so it's such a relief to smile when they ask how it's going! Lol

DearDinah · 28/12/2013 11:09

Yay bugoven due date buddies! :)

topmammy · 28/12/2013 11:17

Wow it's busy on here! Hello and congrats to any new ladies who have joined the BFP journey since I last checked in!

Bex Have a fantastically magical wedding day! And in Scotland too, how romantic.

Bug Love the Elvis nickname lol. Haven't got one yet myself but looking at the early pictures of a developing baby in my pregnancy book, 'prawn' springs to mind. I know someone who called their bump 'badger' and that is now and probably will forever be the child's nickname!

Gosh English (I think it was you) you're so good going to the gym. I think I might need to actually start doing some proper exercise! I'm not overweight but I'd hardly call myself fit lol.

bugoven · 28/12/2013 12:03

Congratulations isitme and welcome =) You are a brave woman. I imagine I want lots of babies with small age gaps between so it'll be good to hear all about it from you. We'll all be here to support you and eachother.

Love having a due date buddy Dinah Grin

Thanks top, trouble is I'm starting to really love the name - hopefully it's just the hormones and I'll have some sensible suggestions in a fee months time Blush

EnglishGirlAbroad · 28/12/2013 12:36

Congratulations isitme and welcome! What a lovely surprise. You're going to be a busy bee! Ive always wanted quite a small gap between children... Well i think that now. Things may change!

Top i'm not overweight either but i've worked hard to get my fitness up and actually start enjoying the gym and dont want it all to go to waste. Just got back from there now actually. Gosh running makes my pregnant huge boobs feel even huger!
Cheddar ive also told my mum and step dad - both very excited.. I actually had to reign them in a bit. After confiding in them only a few weeks ago about my worries regarding ttc it felt amazing to tell them!

topmammy · 28/12/2013 13:33

isitme I think a small age gap is preferable to a big one. I'm 7 years older than my brother so we didn't play together etc. So good for you! Smile

Just done the nhs due date calculator and if I got my cycle length correct (it varies annoyingly) then I'm due 3rd September and I'm currently 4 weeks gone.

But now that my docs appt is imminent (this Monday) I'm panicking that it's not actually real and I'll look like a right plonker! I keep having a feel of my boobs to check they're still sore lol as I don't seem to have tiredness or nausea or anything. I guess it is early days though.

My pregnancy book says that some people think that less nausea is associated with having a boy. There was some scientific explanation behind the theory, something to do with the X chromosome, but I can't remember exactly. Anyone buy into old wives tales and such like?

I'm definitely doing another test tomorrow anyway!

Newlywed2013 · 28/12/2013 14:39

Just been shopping in another town where we don't know anyone! May have just looked in mothercare and mammas and papas :-)

DearDinah · 28/12/2013 15:45

topmammy not sure about the nausea thing, my sister in law is having a boy in January & she was sick as a dog for the 1st trimester! I think how the bump sits has got something in it, but we've got a while for that yet!
Know how you feel about going the doctors on Monday, I keep looking at my stick to make sure I'm not imagining it!
newleywed I've been tempted by the offers on nursery furniture in Argos today but really don't want to tempt fate!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 28/12/2013 15:56

Topmammy, no symptoms here either as such.... I want some so I at least feel pregnant!! If you get what I mean. Although saying that, i don't fancy weeks of puking either!

Newlywed2013 · 28/12/2013 16:11

Hubby has said I'm not allowed to buy anything until we have had a scan! I don't want to temp fete either because I had a v. Early mc in November! Two days after I got my bfp! Feels different this time! :-)

Newlywed2013 · 28/12/2013 16:16

I'm with you English! No symptoms! Had positive from two tests with more arrivi early next week! I just don't feel pregnan! But to be fair I am hoping I don't get morning sickness!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 28/12/2013 16:41

Newlywed it's weird isn't it! There's a a little baby growing in there yet I don't really feel any different, just a few little flutters.
My DH (who had an obsession with trainers) has already been out and brought two tiny little pairs!

isitme1 · 28/12/2013 16:56

Flowers

Newlywed2013 · 28/12/2013 17:26

I know what you mean English! When is your due date! I am due 6th sept so only four weeks today! Seek hubby's dad and step mum in 4 weeks so will tell them but not siblings and then when we get home will tell my dad! Think I will tell my bestie in the week! I just want to tell everyone!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 28/12/2013 17:46

My EDD is coming up anything from 29th August - 2nd sept depending in which calculator I use and wether I use last period or conception date.. Which I'm kind of guessing at!!

BexBoo12 · 28/12/2013 17:53

English you use your first day of your past period to work out your date xx

EnglishGirlAbroad · 28/12/2013 18:00

Yeah I know... I've got an app though that you can work it out using your conception date - it stills adds the extra two weeks on.
I'm goin to go with 1st sept! Lol!

topmammy · 28/12/2013 18:13

At each scan your due date is changed if necessary depending on baby's measurements anyway I believe. And of course babies run on baby time and will arrive when they feel like it haha Grin

BexBoo12 · 28/12/2013 19:59

Girls do you mind if I ask you a tmi question? Have you found yourself extra 'regular' on the loo the last few days?!

Hubbythecatandme · 28/12/2013 20:06

I went constipated big time before we found out (and I am NEVER constipated!!!) since then I have been making huuge poos!!! Make me laugh every time it is like my body is having a bit of fun in the bowel department at the moment!
I haven't felt sleepy at all today and been able to do loads hurray hurray Seems to come and go a lot like I will get cramps for a couple of days, then it stops, then it comes back...
I thought my EDD is 7th september but it's actually 2nd! Last period ended 1st december, not started. Anybody else using pink pad app? It's telling me every day how many days left, not sure if I am freaked out or excited!! Think a bit of both, mostly excited but bit scared about labour.

Hubbythecatandme · 28/12/2013 20:15

Anybody else reading "do's and don'ts" and freaking themselves out?
Read that hot baths can be really bad for the baba in early stages and that bubble baths can disrupt the vagina's ph so there I am with my ducky bath thermometer so bath isn't too hot and just bought some "mum to be organics" bubble bath from Asda! Was a bit more expensive but hubby said "it's not every day you are pregnant so you may as well make the most of it!!"
Hubster has also confessed to going on this bloke "dummies" website and today he learnt how to change nappies pml!!!!!!

Hubbythecatandme · 28/12/2013 20:16

I feel like telling the entire world too but only hubby and I know for now. Sooo want to tell everyone!!!
