Happy Christmas everyone!!!

BexBoo12 · 27/12/2013 20:14

Going to catch up with this me busy thread properly in a sec, but re non alcoholic drinks - I had rose wine flavoured shloer on Christmas Day, just looks and tastes like rose wine with a dash of lemo (remember to talk specifically about the dash of lemo to explain the bubbles!)

BexBoo12 · 27/12/2013 21:02

Hubby!! How lovely we have same EDD!! Can I ask, when were you/are you due AF? Just wondering if you've done a digi yet? X

bugoven · 27/12/2013 21:28

missing - ginger beer is going down well with me at the moment

hubby I'm following a plan throughout this pregnancy to prevent weight gain and complications. Lost 2 1/2 stone pre BFP and think that was why I was so quick to conceive (after.the initial 2 years)

EnglishGirlAbroad · 27/12/2013 22:28

What plan are you following bugoven? Well done for losing the 2 1/2 stone already!!
I'm aiming to continue with 4 gym sessions a week unless I feel tired, when obviously I'll slow it down. Want to maintain my fitness as much as possible... And increase any chance of an easier birth!!
Congrats all again girls... Here's to our Christmas BFPs! CHEERS!

Newlywed2013 · 27/12/2013 22:42

Think I might be able I join you! Think I got a feint line! Testing again in morning! Still not due for 2 days!!!

BexBoo12 · 27/12/2013 23:11

Yay welcome newlywed. Have you worked out you EDD? X

Newlywed2013 · 27/12/2013 23:15

Early sept! 1st day last period 30th nov! 29/30day cycle!

BexBoo12 · 27/12/2013 23:24

My EDD is 7 sept, are you a bit earlier than that then? Very exciting. Is it your first?

Newlywed2013 · 27/12/2013 23:28

Not sure! Need to work it out!

Hubbythecatandme · 27/12/2013 23:35

Love the Netherlands Englishgirl, am French living in UK.
Boobs so sore, no more sleeping on tummy here. Just as well as bladder doesn't need much encouragement to send me to the toilets do lying on tummy is a definite no no!
I soooo miss having really steamy hot baths and strong cappuccinos :(
Hubby and I had booked mini trip by the sea next week, hubs says he needs to take books and cans because there will be no internet no signal and I am constantly falling asleep!!! Blissfully dribbling on my pyjamas sleeves seems to be my new thing. So excited to be pregnant though!!!!

Hubbythecatandme · 27/12/2013 23:41

I used to go to gym 2 3 times a week but having been for two weeks as I was abroad and now that I am back I am just sleeping all the time or feeling drugged lol absolutely no energy but huge appetite, not impressed. Taking antenatal vitamins every days now but feeling bad I didn't do it before.... also trying to eat varied healthy diet but carbs and chocolate blue ribbon type thing keep calling my name! Grr

Newlywed2013 · 27/12/2013 23:56

7th or 8th!

Hubbythecatandme · 28/12/2013 01:01

Congrats Newlywed :)

Newlywed2013 · 28/12/2013 01:36

Did another test when I got in from work and got another line! So I could show hubby!
Ordered some eBay ones so will test again when thy arrive!
I really don't want to get too excited as I was gutted in nov! I will book a dr appointment in 2 weeks if it's still there so to speak!
My symptoms have been really sore boobs, bleeding gums on a few nights and had 2 nosebleeds!
Feeling guilty as I felt like we had missed the fertile window as we had dtd very early in the cycle so I must ov early!? Because we thought we had missed it I got quite drunk last night... But now got nye coming up! Thinking of excuses for the drink but I might just use too much last night!?
So excited yet scared! Still don't feel pregnant!

bugoven · 28/12/2013 06:29

Congrats. newly

English I do Slimming World. I love the plan, which is adaptable from conception to breast feeding, and the group is so much fun. I have made some really good friends there which has helped.

newly try to enjoy every moment that all is ok. Easier said than done I know but be kind to yourself =)

I haven't got the tiredness yet. Feel like I'm buzzing along carrying a tiny little precious cargo that all we have nicknamed 'Elvis'. Has anyone else found themselves referring to their tiny one as a nickname? A colleague of mine called their bump monkey from early pregnancy and that's now his middle name.

DearDinah · 28/12/2013 07:17

Hopping on here now if that's ok! Got a stronger line today on FRER but 1st faint line in Christmas Day. Due around 6th September but will need confirmation from GP as cycles have been so irregular, should you go off date of ovulation? I have a good idea of that thanks to CBFM.
Anyway, really excited now!! Congrats everyone, here's to our Virgo babies :)

EnglishGirlAbroad · 28/12/2013 08:16

Congrats Newly and welcome Dinah! I too have not felt the overwhelming tiredness yet! Just huge sore boons and a fair amount of peeing!
Scared stiff of every little twinge! I just want my first scan now so I can see a little heartbeat! But I know I need to relax.
We told DH's brother and gf yesterday, they were so excited for us. I'm walking round like a clown with a permanent grin on my face!!

DearDinah · 28/12/2013 08:50

Yeah I'm tempted to tell the world, but know ive gotta hang on for the scan, I've got tiredness & big sore boobs, also been lightheaded & snotty for about a week which I read are both symptoms too...nausea hasn't taken hold properly yet which is a blessing, not sure how long it'll stay away though!
DH is very attentive & lovey dovey! I like this, hope it lasts! Lol

BexBoo12 · 28/12/2013 09:16

Morning girls!! And hello Dinah, nice to see you over here!!

I have woken up in a lovely little bubble. We are leaving for Scotland today (getting married up there on Tuesday) and have just done the beautiful digi - 'Pregnant 1-2'

Beautiful words x

DearDinah · 28/12/2013 09:20

Yay Bex! What a wonderful bubble to be in! Wishing you a very happy wedding day, enjoy every minute you beautiful pregnant bride you!! 2013 will be ending on a very high note Thanks

BexBoo12 · 28/12/2013 09:22

Dinah, I can't believe it. We've had a pretty grim last 3 years, I lost 2 very special people, dp has lost 2 very special people, family arguments, cancelled wedding etc. It just all feels a bit too dreamy. I am finally getting everything I've wanted, all in one week!! 2014 is going to be our year xxx

EnglishGirlAbroad · 28/12/2013 09:32

ahhhh yay bex the magic words!!
Good luck for your wedding, enjoy every minute! sounds like you deserve it!!

CheddarG · 28/12/2013 09:42

Wow. There's quite a number of us here now. Awesome.

I'm not big on symptoms yet except for the occasional heart palpitation (feels like my heart flutters). Anyone else got the same?

Have had my BFP for 5 days now. Still can't believe it ... I keep buying more tests just to be sure!

What are you ladies doing about telling folk? EnglishGirl ... That's really great that DH's brother and your sis-in-law were so excited. I told my parents (who I'm v. close to) but, disappointingly, they seemed underwhelmed. I think because it was early days and they didn't want to get too excited incase of MC (my mum had a few) ... Wish I had waited now!

Xx

BexBoo12 · 28/12/2013 09:50

Cheddar I have obviously told dp who is thrilled, and my best friend and that's it. We are very close to dp's brother and his wife so will probably tell them next weekend when we celebrate our wedding with them as they'll want to know why I'm not drinking haha. They told us very early on when they were expecting each of their 2 children. I will also tell my mum when I get to 6 weeks. Everyone else will wait til after scan xx

bugoven · 28/12/2013 10:09

Welcome and congratulations Dinah. We have the same EDD for now. Had my BFP confirmed this morning with a cheap Tesco test which feels good as I was holding a negative one a week ago and feeling cross with myself for testing ridiculously early.

bex it's amazing that you are having so much go well after a hard time. Feel the same as you about 2014 and we're getting married November.
cheddar I get that too. One of my first "signs" which made me splash out on a FRER 2 days before af was due.
