Girls, I'm getting worried. With dd, I was really sick from pretty much the get go. I was feeling a but nauseous last week but nothing now. I feel terribly bloated but no sore boobs (maybe because I'm still breastfeeding dd, they wouldn't hurt as much?) I'm very worried about possibility of mmc after all yesterday's talk of mc Sad

Beccus · 09/01/2014 07:14

such sad news, naaatalie, I am so sorry.

age:36
dp: 37
dd1: 14 months
months trying to conceive:1
lives: london

I am still b/f too & have fewer symptoms this time

HippyJess · 09/01/2014 07:23

Still cramping here, with horrifically sore boobs and headaches on and off that I think are being caused by increasing amounts of blood...

broodylicious I would try not to worry, think you're right about the breastfeeding (seeing Beccus's post!) and they do say that every pregnancy is different :)

bugoven · 09/01/2014 07:26

A friend of mine is on her 5th pregnancy and has 4DC. She said each was different but she alwaus had tiredness and sickness. She was still bfing with this one and did not find out until 12 weeks due to lack of sysmptoms. Don't worry, you need all the energy you have to grow your little bean.

topmammy · 09/01/2014 07:42

Morning all. Gosh I'm definitely getting a sleep bra asap after last night's sleep! Who would think such small (well bigger than they were) boobs could hurt so much lol.

Age: 25 (26 next week!)
DH: 29
First baby!!
Months ttc: 1 !
Lives: if I say Kevin from... you might be able to guess haha

Metalhead · 09/01/2014 07:52

Morning all. I've been getting lots of cramping too but GP didn't seem concerned by it. As long as it's not too painful or accompanied by bleeding I think it's pretty normal.

Stats:

Age: 34
DH: 34
DC: DD aged 3.6
Months trying: 6 (though only 4 cycles)
Lives: south-east

noitsachicken · 09/01/2014 08:02

Morning!

Well I had a fairly decent night, woken by DS at 5.45 but he went back to sleep. I didn't though, had a very upset tummy! I have IBS which improved with my last pregnancy so hoping the same happens this time!

Age 33
DS 18 months
TTC one month
SAHM , DH is an actuary. I previously worked in various animal related roles.
Lives in Bristol.

DearDinah · 09/01/2014 08:06

metalhead I had only 4 cycles in 6 months, have you seen midwife yet? I wondered if I'd get an early scan for being so irregular, I see the midwife next Thurs

TheOnlySeven · 09/01/2014 08:21

Wow it's good we have a midwife among us :)

This is DC4 and each pregnancy has been different. DS i was sick every time I cleaned my teeth. DD1 I was only sick once but had the most awful back ache. DD2 I was sick all the way through pregnancy. The only thing they had in common was they all arrived at 35 weeks.

Choccywoccydodah · 09/01/2014 08:25

Morning ladies! Not read back, but do you think someone should set up a new thread, we're getting close.
Sorry, I'd do it but I did the one last month and the bleeding started so don't want to do it.

Will read back now......Smile

Metalhead · 09/01/2014 08:32

DearDinah yes I saw my GP yesterday and he's referring me for an early dating scan cos my last period was back in October!

He is a media sales consultant

My work: I am a HLTA and Emotional Literacy Support Assistant in an junior school.

PunkyPod · 09/01/2014 09:36

So sorry to hear about the MCs yesterday. It's such devastating news. Please ladies, let yourselves cry, curl up in a ball and snuggle your OHs and let yourselves grieve. I remember my experience of this and sending you a lot of love.

I went to the drs today and she sent off my referral for the scan and midwife app. We get married next week and then go on honeymoon so I've said I won't be about til the start of February for any appointments. It felt surreal to get the ball rolling with this.

Age: 29, DP is almost 33
Ttc: 2 months. We seem super fertile as dd was 1st cycle. Very lucky.
Dc: our DD who is 19 months. She's fab!
Lives: in South East London
Does: civil servant, we both are.

My symptoms really ramped up around week 7 with dd where I just wanted to sleep all the time and eat constantly. Only thing I've had so far with this one is slightly tender boobs and a bit of a yucky feeling. But nothing really. Both symptoms are fairly unnoticeable when I'm just going through the day.

bugoven · 09/01/2014 09:36

Sorry to moan, I am actually very reassured by it all, but does anyone else just feel exhausted, tearful and like saying I'm ill, leaving work and going back to bed. It's like I'm on another planet to everyone else and I know so many women get theough early pregnancy without needing time off or special treatment. Am I just being a wimp to feel like this? I fully accept I might just be over excited too Grin

TheOnlySeven · 09/01/2014 09:56

bug it's normal to feel ridiculously tired in early pregnancy, it's something to do with hormones, others feel completely fine though. It should ease by 12 weeks.

punky congrats on the wedding, what lovely news.

No symptoms at all here yet.

Newlywed2013 · 09/01/2014 09:58

All good with drs! Midwife booked for 6th feb! And dr gave me a flu jab! Not a fan of jabs, so not impressed but kinda glad they did it there And then!

TheOnlySeven · 09/01/2014 10:00

I've started a new thread here

hereshoping2014 · 09/01/2014 12:56

Hello all!
First time poster. I got a BFP on Sunday and so far, so good. However, I've had at least 3 early .m/c so far, so this is the furthest I've got! I'm finding it all rather terrifying as every twinge (which people seem to say is normal) I'm worried its the start of m/c 4. Any advice
on whether period-like pain is normal? It's really mild, and touch wood no blood so far. Also...GP thinks I'm nearly 6 weeks but my own calculations say 4....when you look at baby development calendars... do you ladies look at it according to the GP estimates?Also...because of m/c I have been referred to epu for scan next week (so I'd be 5 or 7 weeks?) Anybody any advice on what to expect, or what they might see on the scan at this early stage?Sorry for the long post!!!

BexBoo12 · 09/01/2014 16:03

Welcome hereshoping xx

Ok, I had period like pains for about a week and a half after my bfp - was on constant knicker watch feeling like I was going to come on at any minute. It's all stopped now and I'm 6 weeks on Sunday.

Scan wise, I haven't had a scan yet but have done a lot of research on good old t'interweb, and apparently at 5 weeks there is a heartbeat but that can't be heard on a scan at 5 weeks, I think they just look at the size of the sac etc to see if everything is growing as it should. A heartbeat is generally heard about 8 weeks but it can be heard as early as 7 so if you are 7, you could potentially hear it but try not to worry if you don't. Again, not much to see but at 7 weeks everything is just a bit bigger and it's starting to shape like a little alien bean instead of just a mini blob Grin xx

CumbrianExile · 09/01/2014 18:24

Evening All.
Good idea on the stats Smile

Age - 33 (34 when bean arrives) DH is 37
TTC - 6 months - since we got married Grin
Kids - No - this will be the first
Lives - Another Manchester - will also be looking out for waffles haha.
Does - Work in IT, as does DH (but not in the same place!)

Hubbythecatandme · 09/01/2014 18:36

Congrats CumbrianExile!
Is anybody else getting nausea?
OMG today has been awful, just doesn't seem to be going away. Hubby made me lovely fresh soup which he took a long time to make and I was sick everywhere :(
I just feel like I am on a boat with really bad motion sickness... and to make it worse I had to get up 3 times in the middle of the night to have the tiniest wee grrrr!
I don't mind the sleepiness but the vomitting if anyone has any tips to make it go away would happily welcome them!
