ZingChoirsOfAngels · 21/12/2013 18:37

ate nothing today until 2pm when I wolfed down some salami and bread. it was soooo good.

an hour ago the whole thing said hello and I feel utterly miserable.
I ate some ice because my throat was hurting so much, but then I sent MrZing to get me a strawberry Calippo - they only had orangeConfused

I did eat it but it hurt my tongue and now I feel sick again.Sad

so I'm drinking water with ice.
I can not eat anything. Sad

fifi669 · 21/12/2013 18:39

I just had pancakes and jam. Absolutely stunning :) though apart from a few urges I haven't suffered from MS....

AuntieMaggie · 21/12/2013 19:00

No ms here either but I have gone off certain foods and can't even bear to smell them and I get a bit nauseous if I'm hungry. Didn't eat til lunchtime today then wolfed down a bratwurst at the german market. I've gone off most meat except sausages, bacon and chicken (but not chicken breast) and crave various types of potato with lots of salt (the low carb thing is not working) and at the moment I am desperate for some thorntons mint chocolates...

ismarah are you hungry at that time in the evening? perhaps a snack may help?

NancyinCali · 21/12/2013 19:08

Sorry zing :(. I have a craving for some kind of lollipop, hoping it might make me feel better. I am now out of bed at least. We need to go shopping but I have a feeling that Target on the saturday before christmas isn't the best idea. I'd planned to go first thing.

Plateofcrumbs · 21/12/2013 19:12

Ahh you poor thing zing, sounds utterly rubbish. I too have been lucky to escape actually being sick so far. I feel sick much of the time and gag a lot, especially when moving around. Must look a right state when I'm walking down the street in public hurrrrrghing like a cat with a furball.

liquidstate · 21/12/2013 19:22

Sorry you are poorly zing! (and everyone else )

I can't eat a certain food once I bring it up. We have cupboards full of the faddy food I once ate but now can't face (Choc chip brioche, dairylea and oatcakes, BBQ supernoodles etc). I can't eat fruit at all and veg just tastes weird so am currently drinking a small fruit smoothie each day and surviving on prawn cocktail crisps, ginger & oat biscuits and bacon sandwiches.

At the moment anything else comes straight back up!

AuntieMaggie · 21/12/2013 20:21

Aww zing that sounds rubbish :(

I bought some coco pops today after someone on here mentioned them...

I have a slot for the next VIP sale on Sunday - I wanted to get some baby stuff if they had any but I feel like its tempting fate a bit - does that sound silly?

ZingChoirsOfAngels · 21/12/2013 20:29

thanks for sympathy!
and sorry for all who feel sick, is sick etc.

definitely last baby.
I'm contemplating having my hooha sewn up - no access, no authorized personnel!Grin

BlueC2 · 21/12/2013 20:30

Evening all - zing sorry you are feeling so rough.

I'm no bundle of fun either-permanently exhausted and according to DH in a foul mood the whole time too though personally I think it's him in the foul mood DS has been great today but DH and I just keep arguing :( which is just really stressing me out and making me feel more tired and sick and in a worse mood so the cycle goes round again! Not great. Also I'm def getting tense about catering for everyone on Christmas Day (6 adults + 3 kids) when often the thought of food and cooking is making me feel queasy! DH currently stomping around the kitchen cleaning up at moment as hoover may have died (why oh why so close to Christmas?!?!)

Enough of my moaning-sorry all just needed to vent a little < aaand breathe >

liquidstate · 21/12/2013 20:56

Anyone else wanting to hibernate and not be touched at all by anyone? I just want to curl up in bed on my own. And really dislike hugs from friends and relatives. Hoping its hormones and not anything else!

I would like the nesting thing to kick in because at the moment I cannot be bothered and the house is a tip Grin.

zing love the idea of a sewn up fanjo, can you get it done on the NHS?

ZingChoirsOfAngels · 21/12/2013 21:07

liquid

not sure. but as I said I'm great at sewing. I'm thinking blanket stitch...Grin

fifi669 · 21/12/2013 21:29

maggie I don't think it'll hurt to pick up a few baby bits.... Don't do what my friend did though, convinced she was having a girl she basically bought the whole next range, clothes, bedding, the works! Had high risk of downs, did the harmony test (good outcome) and as a consequence found out they're having a boy. Doh!

AuntieMaggie · 21/12/2013 21:37

blue same here - DP says I've been moody lately but its him!

fifi no I won't - I was hoping I could get some neutral stuff but just looked at the preview and they don't have much baby stuff.

BlueC2 · 21/12/2013 22:15

Maggie I also have a VIP slot and noticed real lack of baby stuff on the preview - I got some really nice neutral stuff last time though so shouldn't really be getting anything new as DS didn't wear anything for too long at that age.

Just spent an hour chatting to DH in floods of tears - silly hormones sending me loopy!

Ipsumlorem · 21/12/2013 23:15

zing and liquid I'm still feeling rough too so sympathise. Made progress today though - made a ham roll for myself and actually managed to keep it down along with a few grapes Smile

blue I spent ages crying to DH earlier too. Sounds a bit silly but I was crying because I was trying to explain that I felt so attached to our bean already and that I was just scared now we had seen it looking more like a baby yesterday that something will go wrong. It will be our first and it just took me by surprise how strong my feelings are already I guess - damn hormones!!! Blush

ZingChoirsOfAngels · 22/12/2013 08:03

I managed some jam, cheese and a bagel last night.

It's such a horrible thing to be eating something, knowing it will probably come out soon.

no wonder bulimia is an eating disorder, no one completely healthy would ever choose to do this.Sad
(and I say that as my sister suffered terribly from bulimia, she denied it for a long time, her moods and behaviour was unbearable, the lying and sneaking put a dent in our realatior, her teeth got destroyed and although she is better, she still has psychological problems.
such an nasty illness)

anyway, I hope everyone has a nice, easy day today.Smile

ZingChoirsOfAngels · 22/12/2013 08:03

*relationship

not relatior!Grin

jbiscuits · 22/12/2013 08:22

sorry to hear lots of people are feeling so rough Sad. we were at a wedding yesterday and I felt like a complete misery guts. I couldn't drink, the smell of all the food made me feel horribly nauseous, and I was ready to go home to bed by 8! will be glad when we can tell people and at least I have an excuse.

ipsum - I was the same the other night, crying to DH, but in my case I'm petrified the scan will show something wrong tomorrow. it's amazing how attached you can feel to something you've neither seen or felt yet!

ZingChoirsOfAngels · 22/12/2013 08:29

biscuits

it's so good when youcan finally tell why you are miserable/moody/tired/sick etc.

I actually hope our boys are not worrying about me - they felt so sorry for me yesterday when I was sick, and quite conerned, I hope they don't think anything into it!
(we know people who have cancer and need chemo etc)

I really want to tell them now, more so that they don't worry about me, but I think it's unfair to then ask them to keep it a secret.
how could they?

BlueC2 · 22/12/2013 08:42

Ips yes it's crazy how quickly the attachment and protectiveness comes and biscuits that's totally normal too! In my case I've been stressing about the birth (yes I know a bit early) but DS labour and birth actually ok-not blissful or pain free by any stretch, but ok. Thing is I can't imagine doing it a different way this time and our silly hospital only has one pool (though I got out to actually give birth) and I can't imagine labouring out of the pool so now feeling pressure to look at home birth pool here etc but all so expensive and I have no idea yet how we're going to afford for me to have any mat leave

On a different note zing could you let your boys know you've got a bug but nothing serious? How old are they?

DH has redeemed himself a bit this morning by bringing me breakfast in bed :)

ZingChoirsOfAngels · 22/12/2013 08:56

blue

I get the "fear of a different birth".
none of mine were the "same" so I'm also wondering how this one will go.

and yes, I've been saying it's the stupid cold - but it's been weeks.
I'm probably over thinking it.

the oldest four are 12, 10, 9 & 7.
DS5 (3.5) was very sweet "mummy, I'm sorry you are sick, I'll look after you"
aawww Smile

DD is 20 months.

the attachment thing - it's impossible not to be!
the moment you find out you start planning.
you hope, you dream, you try and imagine who this baby will be, how they will fit in, and how much you'll love them.
then you realise you already do love them.
weird, but true!Smile

BlueC2 · 22/12/2013 12:59

To be honest zing the older boys have probably figured it out having seen you go through it before but waiting for you to confirm! Not easy though!

Just realised I've double booked my Christmas food collections tomorrow-one in town centre (no idea where I'm going to park?!) and one at an out of town store- will also have DS with me as DH working. Silly babybrain this could be interesting depending how the parking traffic and queues in store go! Why I thought 23rd December a good day to collect it all I have no idea?!

Hope everyone else is feeling more relaxed about Christmas!

AuntieMaggie · 22/12/2013 13:11

blue I hate to tell you that I did my food shop in about 20 minutes yesterday including Christmas dinner and it only cost me £60 though I didn't get any booze.

One more sleep til scan day - I can't wait but I'm nervous too...

talulahbelle · 22/12/2013 16:15

I am so gassy. Either farting or burping or both. Poor DH, he doesn't stand a chance of outdoing me.
Mild sickness back today, which is reassuring, but now I'm having major wobbles about having a baby. I can't be a mum, I don't know what to do, eek! DH will be excellent I'm sure though so I will just copy him.
Back from a pre Xmas visit to the inlaws. I wasn't my best (grumpy and hormonal) not helped by there being no nice food there, and the mattress/bed being ancient and v uncomfortable. The bad nights sleep I had good practise for when DC arrives I'm sure.

ZingChoirsOfAngels · 22/12/2013 16:24

talulah

psst! no one knows what to do before they get there!
even then they wing it. a lot.
you'll be ok!

Remember you don't need to be perfect, good enough is good enough!Smile
