Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
AuntieMaggie · 10/01/2014 21:04

No idea - I don't have that on mine ahoy. Just looked at the report from scan though and they've noted my retroverted uterus and restrictive view...

AhoyMcCoy · 10/01/2014 21:24

Damn. Me and my friend went to different hospitals too, so I assumed it was a general NHS thing. Oh well. I'll ask at my 20 weeks scan and find out then!

(As an aside, I had an internal 7 week scan, and my notes say "right ovary not seen due to excessive bowel gas" - the shame!! So now I don't read my notes anymore Grin

AuntieMaggie · 10/01/2014 22:24

Theres a rather lovely sketch of my boobs in my proper hospital notes from when I had a cyst - I get embarrassed every time I catch sight of it!

Casmama · 10/01/2014 23:18

Wild guess but I think Hz stands for Herz which is a measure of the frequency of the ultrasound. I wonder whether the change in frequency would give the effect of different "magnification" which might explain the measurements not being what you would expect.

Could be total bollocks - hopefully someone will come along who knows Blush

ZingChoirsOfAngels · 11/01/2014 04:18

Cas

that sounds reasonable. now I want to know for sure!

although HZ could mean "Hail Zing" - yes, that sounds very good!Grin

Plateofcrumbs · 11/01/2014 05:23

Zing I just did a bit of googling and I can't find a particular authoritative source (mostly stuff on yahoo answers) but looks like those numbers simply refer to the machine settings rather than telling you anything useful. The cm apparently refers to depth, Hz is frequency as cas said.

Just checking back in so sorry doodle to hwar your sad news :-(

Well wed I had awful sickness again (couldn't jeep water down) and we were given 12h notice of ofsted so dragged myself into work and last 2 days have been crazy -1st day planning and prepping for an ill teacher to cover until gone 9 then 2nd day as am on slt was sorting data until 8.30 at school. Worth it in the end went out for dinner last night and shouldn't have bothered was do sick again :-(

Meant to be driving 3hours to Liverpool today to ho wedding dress shopping with my cousin but some how doubt I will be able to :-(

theborrower · 11/01/2014 09:55

Checking in again, this thread moves fast...!

Doodle Sorry to hear of your loss. Hope you're doing ok.

Hi everyone, I'm 15+1 now and feeling better again. Well, i thought I had been feeling much better but have had some off days recently, including Monday back at work - I felt sooo sick, I thought i was going to spew at my desk. I was fine after I had some porridge, so looks like I'll have to go back to eating double breakfasts again (a slice of toast just after 7am, then I eat ceral or porridge when i get into work, about 8.30am). I'm going to put on sooooo much weight this time, I think. Especially as there are Christmas chocolates and biscuits in the office / at home / at my mum's - I can't resist.

I also got the results of my nuchal yesterday (after 2 weeks). My risk has been put at 1 in 7175 which is really reassuring.

I can also feel my bump now - that hard bit of tummy lurking under my chub! SOme days I still look horribly bloated (that will be the IBS and all the chocolate) and others just a bit chubby. It will be good when I have an actual bump!

And has anyone else, maybe 2nd timers or more in particular, noticed the baby moving yet? I don't know if I'm imagining it or mistaking wind, but sometimes I think I feel a wee bubble or rolling inside. Too early??

ismarah · 11/01/2014 10:23

Had what I think is my first ms vom last night, I guess an a 'better late than never' kind of way. I've been struggling, particularly in the evenings, when I brush my teeth(!) I'm a bit phlegmy and that plus brushing just makes me gag every night. Been OK so far but yesterday it went all the way and I spent 20 minutes vomming.

Usually I really go off the thing that's made me sick but suspect I can't really do that with toothbrushing.

Anyone else vom from stupid things like this?
Oh, and am 14+5 today \o/

MrsA2 · 11/01/2014 10:29

Morning all.

I forget in my post last night, I had a chat with HR yesterday who confirmed our work only offers statutory maternity pay. I'd assumed they did but had been hoping for a pleasant surprise!

We are trying to move house too, had lots of viewings on ours and got an offer yesterday but as it was below the asking price and we haven't found anywhere ourselves yet we turned it down. The house only went on the Saturday before Christmas so hopefully it's still early days and we haven't been too greedy!

Beautiful sunny morning here, hope everyone has a lovely Saturday.

AuntieMaggie · 11/01/2014 10:43

Ismarah I had that with tooth brushing a couple of times in the morning - doesn't help that the sink tap is broken at the moment so I have to lean over the bath to brush my teeth! And led in the bath last night I suddenly had a wave of nausea but it never came to anything.

Though some annoying man sat near me eating pasta with a strong garlicky/cheesy/tomatoey sauce yesterday morning on my 7am train - now I almost vommed in his lap but just covered my face with my scarf.

Plateofcrumbs · 11/01/2014 10:48

Gosh you're a brave lot - building extensions, moving home! Fortunately we moved house last year (from an upstairs flat to a proper suburban house) and already switched the sporty hatchback for a "Chelsea Tractor". Which sounds like we had the whole thing planned, but we just tend to stumble into this stuff in a pretty haphazard fashion.

MrsA2 · 11/01/2014 11:03

Plate we are rather stumbling into the house move thing ourselves to be honest, but guessing it'll be easier now than with a new baby. Also the reduction in mortgage lending we'd get if we had to include childcare costs was substantial, I didn't expect it to make quite that much difference.

That said, we definitely could stay in this house if we needed to (and the lower mortgage payments would be a massive help) so if it doesn't sell quite quickly then we'll just stay put instead.

LittleLee81 · 11/01/2014 11:04

Hi, Can I join? Due 2nd July, baby #5 :)

coco808 · 11/01/2014 11:23

ismarah brushing my teeth at night nearly makes me sick everytime!
good luck with the house move MrsA
we moved into our OLD cottage last year that needs a lot of work....has to be completed before I go on maternity leave and we have no money!

Howly · 11/01/2014 12:03

My DH has just secured a job in The Wirral so he's moving to Chester at the start of Feb and I'm hanging on in S.Wales til May to get maternity leave and pay from my teaching job which means I will be moving up there at 30 weeks pregnant!!! It's all happened at once and so typical of us!!

Bit gutted we have to live apart for 10weeks whilst I'm pg but needs must!

MrsA2 · 11/01/2014 12:13

Good luck Coco, you'll get there and it will be so worth it.

Howly that's annoying that you have to live apart for a bit but exciting too. Well done to your DH.

It's gone crazy on our house, this morning we've had three offers at the asking price, all with no chain. Mental! Just seeing who is most flexible and whether they will pay a little more to secure it. Now we REALLY need to find somewhere that we want to live!

ZingChoirsOfAngels · 11/01/2014 12:27

plate

add me to that list. we have to move.
we have a buyer since November, but nowhere to go.
she is also pg, due in May with 1st and obviously wants to settle a bit before EDD - and if we don't find something asap I think they will pull out.

so it's not impossible, but I really don't need the stress.
no choice, keep looking, this inn is pretty full!Grin

MrsA2 · 11/01/2014 15:15

Well we've accepted an offer on our house so now just need to find someone - I suspect we might be in a position like you Zing though as there is not a lot coming onto the market here. Hope you find something soon.

MrsA2 · 11/01/2014 15:15

*somewhere, not someone!

theborrower · 11/01/2014 16:14

auntiemaggie there was a guy behind me on the bus the other week, at 8am, absolutely reeking of booze and a bit sweaty. It looked like he was on way home from night before. I don't know if it was my hyper sensitive smell or he was actually quite smelly, but I really struggled. I wanted to move but thought that would be rude. Boak.

coco808 · 11/01/2014 16:18

wow! that was quick MrsA!! congrats!! We took 2 months to place an offer on ours', but that was probably because no one else wanted a 300 year old knackered cottage....which is freezing today by the way!

Good luck Zing! I'm sure you will find a new pad soon Smile

talulahbelle · 11/01/2014 16:33

Eek, lovely day out with DH today (shopping, lunch, art gallery, museum, coffee) followed by trip to mother care. I am overwhelmed by the choice in EVERYTHING.
Managed to get a pregnancy pillow though to help keep me on my left hand side, not sure it really matters at this early stage but might as well get in the habit.
I've also got a friend selling a Jane Powertrack 360 travel system - has anyone used one of these/got any reviews? We are going to have a look at it Monday night and have a think.

ZingChoirsOfAngels · 11/01/2014 16:56

just been sick again.
ffs!Angry

osinachi · 11/01/2014 16:58

Had 12 weeks scan yesterday. It went very well. Baby kept wriggling about. It was quite exciting to hear its heart beat though I'd had 3 previous scans cos of spotting. Dh was quite excited too. First time he was coming along to an appt. wad the nuchal test and odds quite good. 1:2300+ and for other abnormalities 1:4000+. I went pram window shopping afterwards wit dh. Didn't realize I had to take so much into account esp dh being over 6" and me under 5" so have to think of prams with extendable handles. Am keen on stolen but it's really expensive. I didn't get to see the kurvi match which seems to have good reviews.
I'll check the page on puchchairs etc. Next scan in March.
Hello littlelee.
