We've had such an awful morning :( I've shouted and screamed at the big kids. If I feel this heartbroken I dread to think how bad they feel. They'd all be better off without me, this one too. I can't be the mother they deserve at the moment. I need to get help. No need to reply just need to get this down somewhere so I don't bottle it with the dr.

moominleigh94 · 19/12/2013 09:59

I have posterior placenta so getting lots of kicks and wriggles now which is lovely.

Think my next midwife appointment is at 25 weeks. It says so in my notes and I booked one for 25 weeks but I can't remember if she wants to see me then or not.

We've decided that if they CAN tell us tomorrow morning at our re-scan, we'll find out. I'm worried about developing a bias one way or the other because I'm leaning increasingly towards girl at the moment, and I don't want gender disappointment because I think I'd feel so guilty about it - and I'd rather deal with it now than when the baby's born and I've got a billion other things to be dealing with too - at least now I can think rationally about it (sort of). If they can't tell us, we won't find out and we'll muddle along happily - as long as it's healthy that's the biggest thing :)

Last show today Grin family is coming to see it and I'm so excited.

CokeFan · 19/12/2013 10:20

Team blue here!

Went for scan this morning - all measurements fine and placenta at the back and top. They said that they never say 100% but yep, it's a boy!

Haven't stopped peeing since. Think I overdid the drink beforehand.

moominleigh94 · 19/12/2013 10:24

Congratulations Coke Grin

Lots of boys due in May!!

LongTailedTit · 19/12/2013 10:41

Xavi when are you seeing the doc? ASAP please! I've been to see mine about poss going on Sertraline but then I evened out, but will be back there like a shot if things go downhill again.
I'm off out for the day, so not much use, but I hope you can see the doc today, mine are great with mental health esp now preg, they gave me an emergency appt straight away.
I'm sorry you've had a shit morning - hugs and Brew in case none are forthcoming at home. X

mumof2aimingfor4 · 19/12/2013 10:46

xav your a brilliant mum. Dont ever think otherwise. I've thought from day one of this thread what a lovely lady you are and that you and your family are blessed to have each other.

No-one would be better off without you Xav. Big hugs and Brew xx

bluestone85 · 19/12/2013 10:55

Xav get yourself to the doctors asap. Sounds like postnatal depression to me. Your kids know you love them, so don't feel bad!

Moomin - First baby you have a 24 week appointment with mw. Though mine is at 21 weeks for some bizzare reason! She said the next time she could see me would be 26 weeks and that would be too far gone... I assume she is on holiday in between me being 21 and 25 weeks... but still weird that she didn't explain it. I did say to her, "I'll only be 21 weeks on that day" and she didnt seem to register what I said. Might mean I have to go back again at a later date. Who knows!

mumof2aimingfor4 · 19/12/2013 11:50

Aaarrgh the scanning machine at the clinic I was booked into for gender scan on Saturday has broken down!
Got to go on Sunday instead now, good news is they've booked me in somewhere round the corner(ish) from me.

The consultant was fab, been referred for counselling and she's going to champion me having a sterilisation.

Baby is a perfect little boy

bluestone85 · 19/12/2013 12:35

So glad to hear that Xav Grin Good news all round! x

loopylou52 · 19/12/2013 15:03

Sorry I haven't posted for a while. I have been keeping up though - congrats on all the lovely scan news. Ours is tomorrow - getting nervous.

Hope everyone is doing ok, especially those who've been poorly or having a hard time. Xav - glad you're getting the support you need. Thanks and Brew for all xx

moominleigh94 · 19/12/2013 17:04

Glad today went well Xav

Congrats on good scan news people :)

Last show in a couple of hours, parents are on their way :) Having a takeaway for dinner but ordered it 20 minutes ago, expected delivery time is 17:40 - which they didn't tell me until after I'd ordered! We need to be back by six so OH is running out to the chippy to get us something instead. No idea what'll happen to the kebab we ordered... we'll probably have it after the show Grin

ThePollyAndTheIvy · 19/12/2013 18:32

Congrats on the scans everyone! Smile

Just noticed I'm in the poll for the best Christmas name change! I'm actually really excited- although my chances aren't looking hopeful. After you vote you can see the current score and i'm waaaaay behind!

Called the midwives today after my 3rd nosebleed in as many days but they said it was normal, and I also asked about the fact that my weight has dropped since my booking in appt 10 weeks ago, and they also said that this is nothing to be concerned about if I'm eating and drinking ok, although I should ask to be weighed at my 25 week appt.

Thoughts are with everyone who could do with some of these Thanks or a nice glass of Wine

dobedobedo · 19/12/2013 18:57

thepolly I have nose bleeds and weight loss too! Both pretty common in pregnancy though. Unfortunately for my pillow cases - I've woken up on a few occasions with blood stains on them and smeared on my face! DH is so lucky Wink

psynl · 19/12/2013 19:40

Had the results of my GTT today and I've got gestational diabetes. Feel absolutely gutted. Should have expected it because I have high risk factors but I'm usually so healthy, I had convinced myself I might dodge it. Feel really down now

rebeccax2 · 19/12/2013 20:31

Oh dear psynl

I'm not sure what it means but from what I read it is temporary and manageable. I hope you don't feel too bad.

I have just had 1.5 glasses of champagne, and an inch of white wine at my work christmas do, and I'm feeling terribly guilty! :-/

Ditsydebs · 19/12/2013 21:31

Team Pink! Our third little princess and I couldn't be happier:) my husband was slightly disappointed but after three hours shopping for girly clothes and toys he is smiling from ear to ear! Waiting until Xmas morning to announce it to the family!

Jellymum1 · 19/12/2013 21:32

Wow more boys congratulations on all the scans. Mines tomorrow and im feelong nervous x

dobedobedo · 19/12/2013 21:39

jelly mine is tomorrow too. Trying not to think about it because I won't sleep with nerves!

Psynl I have to be tested for the same soon. I hope you're coping okay - it's not forever and you'll be closely monitored which can only be a good thing too. If you wanna vent or talk, please do. Thanks

Dh felt the baby kick tonight! He was totally shocked. Bless him.
The kicks have been ramping up the past couple of days!

dobedobedo · 19/12/2013 21:39

Congratulations on your girl ditsy! Grin

mrsmummytobe · 19/12/2013 22:56

Glad today went well xav.

Congrats on the scans everyone! :)

Mumof2 that exact thing happened to us with our gender scan but to make up for us being messed around they showed us our little daughter in 4d so that more than made up for it! Hope they do something similar for you :)

Psynl hope you're ok.

ThistletoeAndWine · 20/12/2013 04:37

I wish I could sleep

dobedobedo · 20/12/2013 06:10

Thistle I've been awake since about 3.30 Confused. I even got up and put a load of laundry on!

Today I have my scan and I have butterflies! I hope everything is okay with the baby and I'm so excited to find out what we're having!

It's also fakemas eve here! We have fakemas (fake Christmas) tomorrow because ds is going to his dad's for Xmas and I won't see him until 5th Jan. Even santa makes an early visit for the occasion! I can't wait. One of ds's presents is to find out the sex of the baby Grin

We also have lots of family visiting and no food in, so it's going to be a busy, exciting (I hope) couple of days.
Wish me luck!

Good luck to my other scan buddies today! Hope all goes well for your scans too! Wine (shloer)

mumof2aimingfor4 · 20/12/2013 06:54

mrsmummy I hadnt thought about that, I'll have a little moan that we needed to be ssomewhere and they messed us about by changing days. Seeing our son/daughter in 4d so early will be magical, especially as our two dd's will be there.

dobe I love that, 'fakemas' we might try that as we are flying to Gran Canaria at 7am on CChristmas Day. Hope your son thoroughly enjoys both his Christmas'.

Let us know how your scan goes.
