I am in hospital with gastroenteritis because I haven't been able to keep any fluid down for 48 hours but I am feeling a lot better now.

I had a scan Friday and thought it was a girl but they couldn't see properly. Today I had twenty week scan and it's a definate boy x

How scary for you and your DP moomin, good that you've been reassured and that everything is ok.

Had our 20 week scan this afternoon and we are having a boy! He was face down so couldn't get a good view of his heart or face so having another scan on the 8th January but all other measurements were spot on-oh well, another chance to see my little man!

I feel rotten today - I did have a kidney infection but I finished the antibiotics last week - do you think it's possible it's not went away? I have a slightly raised temperature, dizzy, sore throat. Might nip to the docs tomorrow and get them to test my wee to make sure.

I wish we could have flu plus or lemsips when preggo!

dobe are you taking pre natal vitamins? I have bren taking them from before coming off the pill and touch wood I havent had a cold yet (didn't have flu jab either).

Congratulations on the boys ladies, my odds of a boy are looking bleak with the odds stacking against me. Oh well OH wants another girl anyway.

sicknspan if you're having trouble keeping track, and have an iPhone, get the Sprout app. It tells you how many weeks + days you are and little facts about babies development. I upgraded to the paid version and also use the weight tracker.

On which note, may I ask how much people have put on? I'm 19+6wks and have put on 5lbs. From books I gather that's about half what it 'should' be, so should I be concerned or does it not really matter? I'm definitely eating plenty!

Curls I'm not sure what I'm supopsed to have gained but i've actually lost weight since my booking in appt at 10(ish) weeks, almost 9 weeks ago. I wasn't worried but I am now!

Fantastic to hear all this good scan news and absolutely lovely finding out genders! Cannot wait till mine - 6th Jan seems SOOOO far away right now!

However I think the next few weeks are going to go quite quickly, I've only got Sunday off between now and Christmas Day, working Christmas Eve and Boxing day and haven't had new year rota yet but I've been told it's busy busy until mid January so lots of work for me! Good for £ but bad for sleepiness! Anyone else struggling with working a full day now? I just get so tired and achey being on my feet all day and 3 hours travelling Can't complain though as I finish in Feb 3 and a bit months of working 1 or 2 days a week and playing with my Ebay shop instead of "real" work before baby comes - can't wait!!!

I've not put anything on. I've stayed the same since I got pregnant. But I'm not supposed to put much on as I'm 'obese' so have to watch my weight. I haven't been, I've been eating what I want (mostly cheese and pasta), but the portion sizes aren't big xxx

Hi all,
I can't sleep so I've just been catching up on all your news. I can't remember who said it earlier in the thread but because we get notifications on the fb group & it flashes up in my newsfeed I've been keeping up with that much more over the past few days.

I've put on nearly a stone (I'm 19 + 3). But apparently by 20 weeks our babies are 10 inches long from head to toe (if their legs were straight)!!! They are getting BIG!! It's so exciting hearing about everyone finding out the sex & congrats all round :)

Is anyone else sleeping badly? I am so sick of not sleeping through the night but feeling totally exhausted in the morning. I thought this wasn't supposed to happen until we actually had crying babies to wake us up throughout the night!

Curls, I've lost weight throughout this pregnancy! I lost about a stone all together. I'm not worried, I was too heavy to begin with. My boobs and belly have got huge, but I'm down two dress sizes. I'm not trying to lose weight, I just have a smaller appetite. No doubt I'll balloon in the 3rd trimester!
Who asked me about prenatal vitamins? No I don't take any. I did when I found out I was pregnant, but they're massive pills and they made me sick. All I take now is the calcium and vitamin D and I eat a thousand oranges a day well, feels like I do.
To be honest I think I'm tired and run down. I've been working a lot, busy when not working and I'm pregnant with a bad back and getting bugger all sleep each night. I checked my diary at work and the next time I can take any holiday is end of January . Oh well, at least I'll have three days off over Xmas! (sorry for the moan)

Thanks everyone. Midwife told me it was my body giving me a warning that if I carry on the way I've been going, running around doing stuff like I'm not even pregnant, I'll end up back there and I won't be as lucky next time. Got to start taking it easy which is easier said than done on my course!

Last night's show went very well, I enjoyed it so much! Doing this afternoon's show and best of all, tomorrow evening so I get the last night buzz and my family will be coming to see it.

Then off to Manchester Christmas Markets on Saturday... not sure how my back and hips will hold up to it but it should be a nice day :) Hope everyone's doing well and settling in for a cosy Christmas. I know I will be once this bloody show is done and dusted!

I am embarrassed to say how much weight I have put on! I was pretty slim to start with but have put on 22lbs at 21 weeks! I went from having a pretty small appetite to a huge one, thankfully that seems to have calmed down a bit now. However with Christmas on the way I've been to 3 Christmas lunches in a week, so I doubt my weight increase will slow down his week.

Was pretty down about it to start with, but I'm coping much better now that I'm properly showing with my bump.

I can't wait until Christmas, 3 days left at work them I'm off for 2 weeks.

Sorry I've been so lax on the adding people front; life exploded in my face the past few days what with everything happening. The settings of the group are so that anyone can add anyone else into the group as long as you're facebook friends with them.

OH and I can't decide whether to find out the gender if they offer on Friday... we're both torn between wanting and not wanting to know

Hi all, Alyss are you ok? are you still in hospital? hope you've had some fluids and are starting to keep things down.

Getting super excited as flying tonight - yeah!!! stopping in Nairobi for a night to catch up with friends AND get a scan (tomorrow) and then it's HOME FOR CHRISTMAS! whoohoo!

I'm really ready to head off, with DH still away things have been getting to me here, car has broken down (for second time in a week), power has been out every day and then that takes the internet down... and had a (little ) tumble off my horse... (bean is FINE, just twisted my knee and landed on my amply padded bum!) so all in all I'm ready to pack my bags and jump on a plane!!

am going to be sticking my bump out as far as it will go when I check in... fingers crossed for an upgrade (pigs may fly... but might as well try!)
