Thinking of you all Thanks x

mumof2aimingfor4 · 10/12/2013 12:19

Thank you ladies, your suppory has touched my heart more than you know.

I have been discharged, second gynaecologist confirmed bladder prolapse and baby's heartbeat was found with doppler. Such a relief but been ordered no lifting and rest.

Oh guys. This morning I was worried about missing my 16wk appt, and big things more important than a missed appt were happening here.
Alyss sweetheart I hope with all my heart that you three will be ok. The laser treatment has a good success rate I hear Xmas Biscuit lots of hugs

And mumof2 my love I know you're beating yourself up over this but remember that trying to be super- mum is something we are (or will be) guilty of sometimes. I hope to goodness it's just a bladder thing, the inability to wee makes it sound likely. I'm crossing everything for you (no pun intended Blush )

Now listen up all of you: no more scares, d'you hear? Be big and brave and have a cup of decaffeinated beverage Brew

mumof2aimingfor4 · 10/12/2013 12:20

Alyss thinking of you and fingers crossed xx

bushprincess · 10/12/2013 12:32

fabulous mumof2 so pleased little one is doing well. rest up and look after yourself. what a scare. xx

impatientlywaiting · 10/12/2013 13:01

Excellent news Mum, we just need some good news for Alyss now.

impatientlywaiting · 10/12/2013 13:05

Also with all of our bad news I didn't get a chance to say congratulations to Vikks on having a girl. Brilliant news good to celebrate something lovely when we've had such sad news on this thread.

Moomin can't be long until it's your scan. Mine is Fri but I'm not as excited as I would be if I was finding out the sex as I already know.

ThistletoeAndWine · 10/12/2013 13:07

I have a scan Friday with my consultant for research and my official 20 week scan on Tuesday! Not sure if I should find out sex on Friday as dh not there but will be in Tuesday

dobedobedo · 10/12/2013 13:16

mumof2 I'm so glad to hear that - now take it easy, d'yahear?

Who else has scans coming up soon? Mine is next Friday (20th) and I'm dying to find out the sex. I don't think I want to tell anyone else though.

hamncheese · 10/12/2013 13:24

Great news mum really happy to see it!

Exciting that the scans are coming. Hoping for no more bad news now, only good, and lots of happy scans.

My happy news is the amount of jigging my babe is doing. I tend not to notice it until I finally sit down and rest then its boom boom boom! And those kicks that get you right down low have started.... A tad uncomfy but very welcome hehe :)

Got my first counselling appointment tomorrow too, hope its helpful, things have been heavy going the last week.

Vikks · 10/12/2013 13:36

Mumof2 I’m so relieved for you. Rest up and fingers crossed for an uneventful second half of your pregnancy. x

Impatiently Thank you! It’s just about sunk in, I can’t wait to meet my little daughter ‘Olivia Rose’. x

MrsMummy Congratulations to you too! Go team Pink!! X

I’m with MrsFoo ‘no more scares’!
MAY the force be with us!

LongTailedTit · 10/12/2013 13:41

Phew for mumof2!

I have my scan on Monday, fingers crossed Tiny cooperates this time and is in a useful position!
Read a thread the other day about tips for things to get baby moving for 20wk scan, most seemed to recommend lots of sugary drinks & snacks, and lots of caffeine as a one-off!

19+3

Minions · 10/12/2013 13:45

mum2be so so glad to hear your good news! Was thinking of you this morning. Rest up and look after yourself and have some of this Cake

Praying and thinking of you Alyss hope everything is ok.

And to everyone else, look after yourselves... I've got my 20 week scan this afternoon, nervous/excited all in one. We're not going to find out the sex, just looking forward to seeing our wee one.

moobaloo · 10/12/2013 14:03

I keep reading this thread with my heart in my mouth! It's swings from highs to lows so easily. I never know what to put.

Huge love to those of you who have lost babies or are having problems. Also to those of you who have worries or issues you are not posting about, just because you are silent doesn't mean any of us aren't thinking of you any less. I have come to love the people on this thread so SO much and think of you all every day.

Fingers crossed that all will be well ultimately and we will all have happy healthy children, whether now or at another time.

Vote for changing our name to "MAY the force be with us" as opposed to the Maybies??

I had my 16wk appt today at 17+1 weeks. Very scared when she produced the doppler as I don't have one myself (I'm easily panicked) but the relief I felt when I heard the heartbeat was immense.

Lovely to hear the good scan news coming in, mine is in 3 weeks 6 days (not counting or anything lol!) and I'm looking forward to finding out the gender.

moominleigh94 · 10/12/2013 14:04

My 20 week scan is the day after tomorrow and we'll be finding out the sex! Starting to get a feeling it's a girl... referring to her as "she" and "her" whenever I speak about the baby, stuff like that that I'm doing unconsciously. Won't be disappointed if it's a boy though! A healthy baby is all I'm concerned about :)

moominleigh94 · 10/12/2013 14:10

I like May The Force Be With Us and also the Definitlies as names Grin MTFBWU as a shortening? ;)

I agree with regards to caring so so much about the people on the thread - I've smiled for happy news and cried for the sad news, it feels like because we're all on this journey together (getting all X Factor about it now Blush ) it's made it so much easier. I don't know how I would've coped without you all - having no friends who are pregnant, and none who are likely to be pregnant in the next few years at least, has been difficult, so at least being able to go online and talk to people has helped so much.

Xavielli · 10/12/2013 14:12

My scan is a week on Thursday (19th) - can't wait.

I'll be finding out the Sex but not telling anyone too dobe (except you lot of course)

ISawNannyPlumKissingSantaClaus · 10/12/2013 14:19

I third the support and caring for people that are technically 'strangers' - although I have heard enough "May the Fourth be with you" Jokes already to last me a lifetime [grump]

Good luck for Thursday Moomin ! And dobedobedo you don't need to tell us if you don't want to!! (But it might slip out unawares) Mine isn't until a week Monday grr but I'm so excited! if it turns out its a boy that means I'm completely out of the woods regarding the chance of disability I think!

Really glad you are a little safer mumof2 Did I get it right that you are a childminder? If so maybe you need to warn the parents of your mindees that you can do NO LIFTING. at least for a bit?

A gorgeous name vikks Have you started buying clothes yet? I couldn't resist if it was me! Was this the anomaly scan or a gender scan?

Alyss thinking of you and your babies. Not sure what a transfusion of twins would be but it sounds as if they're gluing together? Hope thats not the case and hope the laser thingy works!! Biscuit

Xavielli · 10/12/2013 14:55

Twin to twin transfusion is where the flow of blood from the placenta isn't split equally so one of the twins doesn't get the nutrients it needs. I really hope the laser treatment works!

dobedobedo · 10/12/2013 15:16

No I would tell you lot! Just not other people Isawnanny

Elastigrrrl · 10/12/2013 16:10

Oh mum that is brilliant news.

Thinking of you Alyss and hoping you get the great care you all deserve.

Just had a midwife appointment at 15+3, she tried hearing the heartbeat (though we all knew it was a bit early), but didn't hit the jackpot. I'm not worried though as we could hear the little chap or chapette wriggling in protest against the probe. I'm with you little one, those things are cold!

mumof2aimingfor4 · 10/12/2013 16:12

vikks Olivia Rose is a gorgeous name.

nanny yes your right I am a childminder (way to go on remembering!) I have told parents what the problem was as I get on like friends with the mums. They have said they'll take leave from work but I've said its not necessary I just wont be doing anything strenuous with them. I'll miss the little ones otherwise, they're like family to me now.

Thank you again ladies for all your kind words and support. Really feels like a little family we have going on here. Lets hope for no more lows and only highs now.

Alyss still thinking of you and your babies.

I agree with those who voted for 'May the force be with us' I like it.

Glad everything is ok with the baby mumof2 please take it easy and hope you are ok too!

Good luck with the treatment for the twin to twin transfusion Alyss hope it all works out!

Had my 16 week appointment today (15+6) all is well and heard the baby's heartbeat! I don't have my scan until the 8th jan but not finding out the sex anyway! X
