Ladies I think we need a new festive thread to take us through to the end of the year. And as it will be me to sneeze next –how did it get around to my turn so quickly???-- I thought I would do the honours.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Maybe I know what you mean. My brain is like mush too, I can't remember very much. So I reckon I repeat myself a lot Smile

Loopy I've heard stories about that however, nothing has been mentioned to me about it so my plan was to ask tomorrow. If I'm at risk then I want to know and be as prepared as possible. So hoping I'll get some answers tomorrow.

As far as I'm aware they are supposed to scan your cervix between 11-16weeks and they can tell from that whether you need a stitch or not. I found this out closer to 20 weeks so I'm not sure if I'm at risk.

Anyone got any nice plans this weekend?

Fox82 · 16/01/2014 15:30

Had the scan this afternoon - one baby present and correct Grin

RubberBullets · 16/01/2014 15:39

That's great Fox :o

keepitgoing · 16/01/2014 16:20

SantaMaybe · 16/01/2014 17:08

Yay Fox!!! Amazing news lovely!!! How are you feeling?

You'll be fine tomorrow Pen. Don't you worry. You're a brooker Wink.

We have our second hypnobirthing class on Saturday, then we will most like take the pup for along walk and cook something nice for dinner. Similar plans on Sunday! How about you?

Fox82 · 16/01/2014 17:17

Sounds like a lovely weekend maybe! It's our wedding anniversary this weekend so will probably go for a nice walk and have some good food too Smile

So relieved our scan went well. Yes 12 weeks already Keep! I was properly sick for the first time this morning - probably nerves. But it was lovely. Wriggling around a bit to begin with Smile And we got 6 pictures Smile

Good luck for tomorrow Pen

SantaMaybe · 16/01/2014 17:20

I'm so pleased it went so well Fox and what a lovely anniversary present Grin

Solars · 16/01/2014 17:42

Great scan news Fox is the excitement building?

Pen good luck got tomorrow and hope you get that scan too!

We have absolutely nothing planned this weekend which I am really glad about as the last few have been really busy and the tiredness was getting to me. I am sorting through baby clothes (SIL has given us clothes up until the age of 1!) and getting my hospital bag packed.

SantaMaybe · 16/01/2014 18:02

Solars that's so exciting!!! Hospital bag time!!!!

keepitgoing · 16/01/2014 18:55

OK let's do this. mid Feb meet up anyone? or earlier so maybe isn't too fat?

SantaMaybe · 16/01/2014 19:28

Grin Keep I prefer 'rotund' Wink

I was looking at mid feb, but I don't think I'm going to be able to come all the way to Sheffield, may be a tad far....

Fox82 · 16/01/2014 19:29

Aww keep love the image of the cuddly baby Smile It's been lovely telling people today. My friends told me off for giving them no prior warning and nearly giving them heart attacks Grin

Sounds like a lovely weekend solars

SantaMaybe · 16/01/2014 20:02

Grin Fox! I bet they're all so excited for you!

Keep S sounds too cute, she really does. And amazing news on the sleep front. I'd love 5 hours of sleep.

TheLittleFriend · 16/01/2014 21:38

Pen was it a cone biopsy you had after your abnormal smear? I had cold coagulation treatment to remove abnormal cells prior to my dc, but remember being told it is normally just a cone biopsy that can (rarely) affect pregnancy. I hope it all goes well for you Smile

ThedementedPenguin · 16/01/2014 22:38

Maybe I'm just going to see my mum at some point over the weekend. She works in accountancy so this is her busy month so haven't seen her in ages so going to catch up. Plus she will have my niece so think we are going for a walk to feed the ducks with Dn and Ds. We shall see what the weather is like.

I'm going to asda on Monday and to tescos to stock up on a few baby things. Also want to get things for my hospital bag. As I know it sounds crazy but I can't get it out of my mind that I'll either go into labour early or I'll run out of time to get ready. Makes no sense as I've plenty of time.

Friend I'm not sure although having read about cone biopsy it sounds like that. Think I just need to know if I'm at a higher risk of not.

Can't get these crazy thoughts out of my mind.

SantaMaybe · 16/01/2014 22:49

Not crazy at all Pen, just pregnant Wink. All rational thought goes out the window. You'll be hear tomorrow, don't you worry.

Ooh yes, Asda have their baby event on. I'm not even thinking about my bag yet

GreenOlives · 17/01/2014 13:39

Lovely scan news fox Grin And happy anniversary!
Waves to all you glowing preggos and new mums! Grin

ThedementedPenguin · 17/01/2014 16:14

So appointment was a disaster. Was in that much of a rush I didn't get to ask anything. Going to see my community Mw on Monday or following Monday and will discuss with her.

Estimated weight is 2lb 12oz. Said this baby is on the same track as ds weight wise. We shall see when the time comes. Hopefully won't be any bigger.

X

SantaMaybe · 17/01/2014 20:21

Ah, that's a shame Pen but all good on the weight front!! Fin was 3lbs at 29 weeks, so they sound pretty similar!

Lovely to see you Olives!!

Solars · 18/01/2014 16:47

Hello! Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. We're having a very relaxing one here. We have finally ordered our pram and will be delivered on Monday, yay! Now I just need to order a few cot sheets and we're good to go, unless I've forgotten something!

Pen oh no, was it the consultant hurrying you along? Baby sounds like it's doing well though.

Awww Keep S sounds adorable.

How was your hypnobirthing class today Maybe?

MrS and I have just been saying how we're not going to be able to have these lovely quiet weekends soon pottering around. It still surprises me how far we've come!!

Fox82 · 18/01/2014 20:09

It's so exciting solars! Your life will change but so much for the better Smile (I'm hoping that's what's going to happen anyway!) Grin

Got our Down's syndrome results today and the baby is low risk which is good news. And it also said my due date has been moved forward by 2 days!

Solars · 19/01/2014 14:11

Good news about the results Fox Smile

How is everyone today? I'm feeling exhausted from well...doing nothing... Confused

SantaMaybe · 19/01/2014 17:17

That's great news Fox!! So what's your EDD now? Have you had a lovely anniversary?

How'd the bag packing go Solars?

I'm shattered too. Hypnobirthing, 5 mile walk in the woods and home made pizza night yesterday, followed by housework, 10K walk and soon to be dinner-making today Smile

Solars I'm really enjoying my classes. They are so relaxing. I feel so very positive about labour and birth!

Solars · 19/01/2014 18:17

That sounds like a lovely weekend Maybe, we were hoping to go for a walk today but we had some finance stuff to sort out which took longer than we thought! I know what you mean about the hypnobirthing classes it does make you feel so much more positive about everything, I remember when I came back from my second lesson and said to MrS, right I'm ready for this birth now, I can easily do this!! I'm hoping it lasts until the actual birth now. Bag packing has been good, although I had to switch to a bigger bag half way through as not all of it was going to fit in. Just got to add a few snacks and toiletries towards the end. Not long 'til you finish work right?
