Ladies I think we need a new festive thread to take us through to the end of the year. And as it will be me to sneeze next –how did it get around to my turn so quickly???-- I thought I would do the honours.

Thanks everyone. It's so strange knowing I'm having a girl. Saying she is so wierd. Never never never did I think if be having a girl.

stacks glad your scan went well. Wow 12 weeks already. Seems to have gone so quick.

sweetie I think some men think they will have a lot more free time when off on paternity, that it's all easy and they won't be doing much. Just make sure your Dp does his bit.

fox would you consider paying for a private scan? Although with any luck your doctor will send you for an early scan.

friend I like pinga, think maybe we should change it.

GreenOlives · 10/12/2013 22:24

Lovely news from stacks and pen! Grin
And loving little's Pingu expertise! Grin I used to be very knowledgeable in the life and times of In the Night Garden and Peppa Pig but alas neither could be my Mastermind subject now as DS1 is clearly WAY too grown up for such programmes now!! Grin Still I'm sure DS2 will soon be enjoying a bit of CBeebies so I may be able to brush up at bit!
Rescue Remedy will be all you need for a double sneeze sweetie and I'm brooking no argument on that fact - come on dib and dab!

cartoontrickster · 11/12/2013 12:11

Confused fundal height measured small by midwife today and I think treats is a little quieter so am going for a ctg and hopefully a scan.

Solars · 11/12/2013 12:24

Brooking all is ok Trix

SantaMaybe · 11/12/2013 12:44

Also brooking Trix, hopefully it's just cos treats has changed position. Let us know how you get on x

TheLittleFriend · 11/12/2013 12:59

Brooking that you are reassured by a scan today tricks x

musicalmrs · 11/12/2013 13:02

Brooking that all is fine Trix, and that treats has just changed position and is making you all worry for nothing.

GreenOlives · 11/12/2013 13:15

Brooking that all is well trix I'm sure treats will just have changed position.

EverythingIsTinselyBaubleyBoo · 11/12/2013 13:30

SweetieTime · 11/12/2013 14:17

Any news yet Trix?

keepitgoing · 11/12/2013 18:12

hi ~trix am also brooking for you. i think fundal height is pretty inaccurate. xxxxx

cartoontrickster · 11/12/2013 18:17

sorry to keep you all waiting. been at the hospital all afternoon and just had my dinner. the ctg and scan where fine but treats hasnt grown as much as they would expect so I'm seeing the fetal med consultant next week and they will keep monitoring us. I think they may make a decision depending on growth as to whether they will deliver treats early. but my last scan was only just over 2wks ago so treats hasn't had a huge amount of time to grow since then. I guess I might just be having a small baby.

keepitgoing · 11/12/2013 18:27

glad they are keeping an eye on you. how many weeks are you now? so pleased all looks ok

SantaMaybe · 11/12/2013 18:28

So pleased things look ok lovely. Treats is obviously just nice and petite!!

cartoontrickster · 11/12/2013 18:39

I'm 34+4 now. I know they will want treats to stay in here till at least 37 unless they get really worried. the consultant had already suggested a 40wk induction anyway.
of course the minute I relaxed treats was happily wriggling about. I've just been getting myself stressed trying to do too much and not resting.
I had changed my mat leave to the end of this week but I may not go back now. I have ante natal tomorrow morning anyway.

SweetieTime · 11/12/2013 19:19

Trix glad they are keeping a close eye on you. My twins consultant told us that measurements can be inaccurate that is why they do them every 4 weeks rather than every 2 weeks in twins world. I am glad you have had plenty of movement this afternoon. I think it is wise to bring mat leave forward too.

Also think it's a good idea to start your leave Trix. Whatever it takes to get you relaxed Xmas Smile

TheLittleFriend · 11/12/2013 19:56

Glad to here treats is ok Trix. Good to know they are keeping an eye on you

cartoontrickster · 12/12/2013 08:46

sweetie your right they don't like to do scans etc too close together because of inaccuracies. at the hospital they said they need at least 14 days between them, which I think mine will have been, but preferably 4 weekly.
trouble is with all my many appointments and different people I see I've seen the midwife slap bang between my last scan and when my last scan was and when I have another scan booked. so probably had my fundal height measured too soon. as it is the marks on my growth chart are plotted from a mixture of scan measurements and fundal height. I'm always on my average line or just under. yesterday I was just on the lowest line, the fundal measurement was 31 yesterday so a little low but me and treats have only had half the usual time to grow. treats measures what they would expect for that fundal height. perfectly healthly just a touch small. I'm really hoping for a bit of a spurt during the next week before we see the consultant because its likely she will do a scan as she prefers to see things for herself. but I guess if treats has grown a little then that's fine. treats has been growing just slowly. I hope dh isn't too worried now.

Stacks · 12/12/2013 17:03

Glad to hear all was ok at the scan trix. These measurements and things are all just averages and need to be taken as such. A little extra monitoring shouldn't be a bad thing though, as long as it doesn't stress you and DH too much.

Can't wait for the twins arrival sweetie, I'm amazed you've come so far with them, I thought twins were pretty much guaranteed to come early. The longer they're in there the better for them though, as long as you're still feeling ok.

I've been quite ill the last couple of days. I thought it was just morning sickness coming back, but I've had terrible diarrhoea and feel awful. DH stayed off work today to help with DS, but I think I'll be back on my own tomorrow. Hopefully things will have passed by then, these things don't usually last long right? DS and DH seem fine, though DS was off colour a bit last week, so maybe I got it from him.

RubberBaubles · 12/12/2013 17:26

Treats is certainly keeping you on your toes Trix

I found out on Tuesday that one of the leaders in my Guide unit is pregnant with twins. She already has a 3yo and an 19m so is going to have 4 under 4 when they are born Shock

SantaMaybe · 12/12/2013 18:41

Sorry to hear you're feeling so poorly Stacks. Make sure you're keeping your fluids up. It will pass soon, I'm sure x

How are you feeling about everything today Trix? How's MrT?

Xmas Shock Rubber!

How is everyone else?

EverythingIsTinselyBaubleyBoo · 13/12/2013 00:16

been here the whole time Xmas Wink

Pleased Treatsis ok, what a worry but not much longer now! Bringing forward your leave is a good idea too.

cartoontrickster · 13/12/2013 09:05

Mr t of course is more worried than anyone else. he always is. stacks is right they are just averages. so they think treats is small but small doesn't mean unhealthy. theyve checked everything and couldn't find an issue.
sorry stacks and pen I don't think I congratulated either of you on your scans Thanks Thanks . pen how lovely you will have one of each.
