Hope you are doing ok another...

Managed to properly stuff myself full tonight. Feeling mega uncomfortable!! Must remember this feeling so I dont do this again! Sad

Sultanajo · 18/11/2013 20:18

nature fingers firmly crossed its just a boost in pregnajuice....

Frizz1986 · 18/11/2013 20:48

Am going to have my hr meeting tomorrow. Didn't feel like i was in the best state of mind today ad I have a clear idea in my mind of my dates and i am not sure if my work will do it the same.

itsonlyapapermoon · 18/11/2013 20:55

Yeah the scan weight is only an approx so I'm not too worried, got a midwives appt next week and I'm sure I'll be bang on date with my fundal height lolSmile

Yay fryingpan enjoy those hours!

flyawayblue · 18/11/2013 21:42

enjoy your evening frying

frizz can't believe the idiot school, your poor dh.

Brain gone and can't remember other things I've read.

another hope the consultant meeting went well.

Started to hand over things today to my manager and deputy as there's no replacement in post yet. It's an odd feeling to know someone else will be looking over things you've done for 6 to 8 months. Had my leave approved so only have 18 and a half days left Smile Will be 37 weeks when I finish and am hoping Christmas will mean I don't go stir crazy if she doesn't turn up till 42 weeks.

Have a growth scan on Wednesday and as always panicking that they will find something wrong, silly hormones. Also worried as I don't know other mothers round where I live so may be cut off come January.

MrABC · 18/11/2013 23:32

Hi all... Just checking in to say hello. Hope that everyone is well and managing to enjoy the pregnancy ride!

I've been super busy getting the house sorted in good time for the new arrival but still got a way to go with the nursary. Having trouble choosing furniture so any recommendations would be welcomed.

Still a bit clueless as to getting all the bits we need but it's coming together. A few people have brought us some really cute clothing which is wonderful but we'll need more of the basic bits I'm sure.

BuntCadger · 18/11/2013 23:36

Hi just marking spot on new thread :)

TarkaTheOtter · 19/11/2013 01:08

Urghhh all three of us have some sort of stomach bug. So far only dd has actually thrown up (twice, once all over her bed and once all over ours), but I'm having horrible stomach cramps. Desperately trying to remember what labour feels like but reasonably sure it's my stomach not my womb. Can't really go to get checked out as don't want to drag ill dd out in the car in the middle of the night.

MrsGSR · 19/11/2013 01:40

:( I hope you all feel better soon tarka, so you think ringing 111 or whatever it is might help?

TobyLerone · 19/11/2013 06:51

I was wondering where you were, MrA! How is MrsABC?

Tarka, that sucks. Poor you :( Lots of fluids and handwashing/bleaching. I hope you all feel better soon.

chocoloulou33 · 19/11/2013 07:29

Morning all. Have finally got our wi fi up and running so hoping now I can post on here with no problems. Just had a mega long catch up of this thread and also some of the old one. Uve all been busy bees haven't you. So much happening I cant think now who's done what as so much info for me to take in lol.

So I am with the ladies that who have started maternity leave yey. It was my last day friday. I wont miss work at all bit will miss my friends there. Will still see them but not as much obviously. Had a girly night in round friends after work and all the work girls came and got some lovely little presents for the baby including changing bag, blanket bibs socks and some other bits. Ooh and they made me a chocolate cake.
For those whose dh/oh are driving them insane atm well I'm right there with you. My oh a right moody bugger atm. He's usually great but my god can he moan. He's got a week hol off work which I thought would be lovely for my first week of maternity leave but hmmmm no all we've done is argue. Hopefully today will be better.
Still suffering with piles here and to add to the discomfort I have thrush. tmi soz! Oh the glamour. Been a bad nights sleep but time to go and wake girls up and start the school run madness. Hope you all have a good day. Hope to be on here a lot more now :)

Sultanajo · 19/11/2013 08:01

Yay choco! Good to see you and off on mat leave too! Double yay! Hope your OH sorts himself out and stops being grumpy!

tarka oh no thats horrible! Really feel for you! How are you guys this morning?

MrsAVB · 19/11/2013 08:31

Morning ladies! I can't believe you've already done 5 pages before I've even checked in!
frizz, hope you and mrfrizz are doing ok! stupid school Angry.
another how are you doing today?
sultana and choco am very Envy of your mat leave... But in some ways I think being at work is a good distraction from heartburn and being uncomfortable.
tarka, how are you and the DC this morning?
Now I really need to buy some new winter boots. Would it be really silly to buy them now in case my feet and calves grow? I don't feel like they've grown so far... Hmmm...

TobyLerone · 19/11/2013 08:39

I think you probably need them now, MrsA, so just get them now. I don't think my calves or ankles have ever got bigger in pregnancy.

fryingpantoface · 19/11/2013 08:59

Good morning!

had a great night, played Batman for a while, then watched Dodgeball with dh. I got up 45 mins ago and i already want a nap.

OP posts:
TobyLerone · 19/11/2013 09:02

Ooooh, I love Dodgeball!

chocoloulou33 · 19/11/2013 09:23

Well hes making a good start on redeeming himself by taking me out for a cooked breakfast. Could get used to this being off work lark lol x

Sultanajo · 19/11/2013 09:29

Dodgeball is hilarious! Now I wanna watch it! Grin

choco score for the cooked brekkie!

Just off to midwife with pot of pee that I am convinced is gonna leak today, then gotta try and get my lists of things to buy for hospital bag and xmas sorted....

TarkaTheOtter · 19/11/2013 09:36

Thanks everyone, no pain this morning but still feeling a bit sick. Dd seems much better though so hopefully won't spend all day cleaning up sick. On the other hand she is far too energetic again. I have made the amazing discovery that we have a whole channel on sky dedicated to peppa pig which should help though.

I don't have the energy to think about my hospital bag but I did have a panic and pack an "oh shit" bag last week with the absolute bare essentials in.

fryingpantoface · 19/11/2013 09:47

Dodgeball is on lovefilm at the moment, that's where we watched it from.

Good luck Tarka! When i'm/DS sick, we watch Thomas the Tank Engine several thousand times. It's bloody tedious, but gets us through the day.

Bluecarrot · 19/11/2013 09:51

Morning everyone. Really rough nights sleep last night followed by horrendous morning with pre-teen daughter. DP walked her to school and gave her a good "telling off" in the wonderful non-shouty way I was unable to muster this am.

Braving the ( medium dusting of) snow to go shopping today then first antenatal class tonight.

Anyone else considering a private room if they need to stay overnight in hospital?

Also, can you get decaf gingerbread latte? I was trained as as a Starbucks barista years ago and can't actually remember :/ Have a Starbucks gift card though...

TarkaTheOtter · 19/11/2013 09:56

I worked at Starbucks as a student and I'm going to vote yes. I'm guessing the gingerbread flavour is from syrup and so they'd just need to use a decaf shot of espresso.

Bluecarrot · 19/11/2013 10:02

YAY! Decaf espresso is just WRONG. But prego body can't handle real espresso atm :( ( though I could do with the kick)
