mrsv if you feeling like you need to leave earlier then go for it. I cant imagine how I would be feeling if I was still working. Am struggling as it is. Am also one for forgetting to take my iron tablets daily. Will go do that now whilst I'm thinking about it.

I've given in and made a docs appointment for later 2day. Don't feel any better than yesterday. Still feels like I've got water infection. Just so worried they gonna try send me back into hospital. Will just beg for antibiotics and hope they let me try that first. Have only just finished my last lot though for kidney infections. Hope this doctor is nice I dont know them very well. Really really must get hospital bags finished 2day. That is my mission!!

MrsVDB · 03/12/2013 10:01

Woo nature

I've got so many meetings booked in and don't start handover until the 13th so not sure ill be able to. It's so tricky

On the plus side I've just found out that work pay my pension contributions when I'm off so I've upped them from normal 2% to the max 5% which (after work contribution on 13%) means ill be getting 18%!

fryingpantoface · 03/12/2013 10:07

That's brilliant Nature!

Not long now!!

extracrunchy · 03/12/2013 10:20

That's great news, Nature!

Naturegirl82 · 03/12/2013 10:22

mrsv I just found out the same thing and they keep paying in even if I decide to take a payment holiday Going to keep paying to start with but then see how much I get with smp to see if I need to stop for a while.

Naturegirl82 · 03/12/2013 10:40

Also just booked a maternity photo shoot for next week. Exciting Grin Went with a three shoot plan that does maternity, newborn and 6-12months. Thought I would get it done quick just in case I suddenly get stretch marks!!

fryingpantoface · 03/12/2013 10:43

that sounds good nature I like the idea of it. I think we will be going for photos when the baby is here as a family. I want some nice picks with ds and the new one.

Ive decided to send out birth announcements/thank you cards. Ive chosen some from Vista print. Just need the baby to come now!

Naturegirl82 · 03/12/2013 10:56

sounds good frying. I liked this photographer because the maternity shoot also includes dh. Doubt I would get any of just me but she does a really nice one of both parents hands on the bump that I really like.

Felix90 · 03/12/2013 11:14

Good news nature!

Mrsv you should definitely try and leave early if you can bring it forward. There's nothing worse than being at work when you really don't want to be!

Well the itching still hasn't died down. Managed to sleep well last night though and used my ninja focus to block out the itchiness Grin think I had some Braxton hicks this morning but I don't know? Woke up when OH went to work at 8 and was laid on my left side, and the right side of my bump tensed up and it was quite painful but only lasted about 2 seconds each time. I did read they aren't meant to hurt though so could have been something completely different.

enjoyingscience · 03/12/2013 11:15

yay nature! I bet you're counting the minutes :)

This thread move so quickly!

frying glad you're still pregnant, but sorry about the pox. I had it when I was 22 and it was miserable as sin. I think some people put oats in the bath (in a muslin, not just chucked in Grin) to help soothe? Or that might be for something else...

Mythreeknights · 03/12/2013 11:43

Wowee, sounds like we are all moving on into the final stages very much so with increasingly painful BHs...

I am thrilled as managed to sleep from 11pm - 7am without needing to get up for a pee!!!!!

7.5 days left of work for me too

Grin
Felix90 · 03/12/2013 11:48

Mythree it's so amazing when you sleep through isn't it! It happened a couple of weeks ago to me and I could have cried with happiness Smile

fryingpantoface · 03/12/2013 11:52

Day three isn't good. He slept in (woke at 8:05!) but is clingy, whiny, and generally miserable. We're lying in my bed while he watches Cars 2. I've cancelled my MIL coming over, I just can't face it.

Roll on DH getting home at 6:30. Then I can have a shower without being whined at

Oh poor boy Hmm hopefully today is the worst of it and he gets better soon!

Sultanajo · 03/12/2013 12:06

Yay nature! What a relief!

mrsv don't struggle on. Bring it forward! I don't know how I would cope now if was still working...

Typically I was having a nice sleep this morning but had to get my car to the garage for 8am, so had to get up at 6.45am. I dreamt last night I went into labour, didn't have my bags packed and forgot my maternity notes. A reality I may face if I don't get my bags packed soon! Ekkk!

choco I think you are doing the right thing. Fingers crossed they don't try and send you back to hospital...

another how are you doing?

Sultanajo · 03/12/2013 12:07

mythree what a lush sleep!

frying poor you and DS. Hopefully you guys will come out the other side tomorrow....

TobyLerone · 03/12/2013 12:09

:o sultana. I'm doing my bags on Thursday or Friday. Shall we make a pact? Wink

Naturegirl82 · 03/12/2013 12:43

Hmm one of my work colleagues has just asked for my private email address as she assumes I'll be avoiding checking my work email as much as possible when I'm off. That sounds like she will email me with work questions doesn't it?? Don't really know how to respond to that. Other than saying I won't be responding to any work related emails unless on a KIT day but does that make me sound arsey? I can't imagine she just wants to keep in touch as I don't have contact with her outside of work now.

TobyLerone · 03/12/2013 12:49

I think I'd just ask her outright why she wants it. Because if she's not someone you'd usually be in touch with outside work, it does sound like she's going to hassle you.

It's not rude at all to say you won't be dealing with work emails. I'd probably tell her I was quite shocked she thought you might.

Swannykazoo · 03/12/2013 13:35

I'm with Toby on this nature - sounds like she's missed the point of mat leave. Its not rude to point out the blindingly obvious to the bafflingly stupid!

Hurray for puggle baby. Midwife thought breech, I thought breech, today's gynae reg announced he'd leave gynae if puggle baby wasn't breech, with a nice bony little head at the midpoint of my ribs, today's scan has shown a nicely head down puggle baby, on the starting blocks Grin. Think the baby clearly has a sense of humour (and a bony bottom)
DH and I have been stroking its little head a lot - feel a bit silly we've been stroking its bottom lovingly....

Felix90 · 03/12/2013 13:46

Haha puggle Grin glad baby is now in the right position!

Naturegirl82 · 03/12/2013 13:53

Yay for right way up baby's puggle.

Disaster averted apparently she does just want to stay in touch Smile

chocoloulou33 · 03/12/2013 13:54

Yey puggle thats great!!! Did u do anything in particular for baby to turn? I am also breech.
Have been to docs. Urine showed infection blood protein glucose and something else I cant remember. So am back on antibiotics and gotta hope they are strong enough.

fryingpantoface · 03/12/2013 13:55

Ask why she wants it nature. No good can come from work colleagues having your email address. I was plagued with calls/emails when I was on mat leave last time. it started off as flattering that they couldn't cope without me, then it was just bloody irritating. They stopped when I told them that.

puggle brilliant news! I love the image of you stroking the bum lovingly.

DS is supposed to be napping, but is in his room playing with his trains. He willingly got into bed so I have no doubt he'll be sleeping soon. Which means as soon as he is, I can have a shower. His room and the bathroom are next to each other.

My mom bought our Christmas presents today. She's bought us an expensive duvet/pillow set, Egyptian cotton sheets, duvet and pillow cases, and a runner for the bed. I've wanted new duvet sets for ages, and now i'm very happy about it. It's practical, but luxurious at the same time.

MIL is also buying us bedding... we're so hard core!!

I've found someone to have DS while I go to the midwife on Friday which is brilliant.

Is anyone else having stabbing pains in your cervix? Any thoughts about why it's happening?

OP posts:
Sultanajo · 03/12/2013 14:18

puggle lol! You will spend more time lovingly stroking the bony bum once its out I am sure!

toby yy! pact made! By Saturday our bags must be packed!!!

choco so pleased they gave you treatment. Will keep everything crossed it works!
