Well I was hoping my day was going to get better but it hasn't. Was in a shop and reached over to get a boot off a shelf to try on and couldn't quite reach it as someone was in the way. I said sorry, can I just squeeze past and she said ' I think the word you're looking for is excuse me? I said well that's why I said sorry.... Then she proceeded to shove roughly past me hitting my bump with her body and out the door. Angry and shocked (and feeling protective of my bump) I said there's no need for that, I'm 8 months pregnant! How dare you. She then marched back on and shouted how if I was pregnant and had a kid (my youngest ds was with me) then I shouldn't be talking like that in front of him. wtf I mean what the bloody f?! I turned my back to her and ignored her rant. God some people are such wankers. And of course people in the shop pretended nothing had happened.

Was so shocked and embarrassed.

whisper I agree with pistachio wear the converse- being heavily pregnant your priority is to be comfy and sod anyone if they comment on them. I am struggling with shoes ATM - incidentally said boots in shop were my usual size but I couldn't get them on. I'm sure my feet were t bigger with prev pregnancies but this time my feet have definitely grown! Does anyone know, do they go back to the original al size again?! I bloody hope so!

Chelsealady · 28/11/2013 13:31

Mum how bloody rude I would have been so angry! I have had people make sly comments on my age as I am young but look even younger but never anyone shove me you just dont do that!

I actually heard two ladies making comments on me last week in town...one said i would never leave the house being that big and then the other said I know silly girl to young to be pregnant she has no idea. I just stared so they knew I heard them but my very hot headed mum had to comment back...wont even repeat what she said to many swear words!

Whisper people will not judge you they should see your heavily pregnant and understand.

mumoftwoboysS · 28/11/2013 13:44

chelsea that's awful- people are so quick to judge others even tho they have no idea about the persons life!

Also wanted to ask- is SPD usually pain on the pubic bone or can it be higher up? I have a lot of pain a bit higher right under my bump and omg I can hardly walk. I'm waddling like a penguin. Perhaps it's just general pelvic pain? It's where my bump has a massive overhang

Alyssa1978 · 28/11/2013 14:15

Ooh mum I'd have slapped her into next week.
A women barged past me the other week and knocked ds2 pushchair nearly flying as I was buying ds1 some cookies.
I pushed her flying, she didnt know how quick to walk away.
Some people are so ignorant it boils my piss makes me so angry.

I'm glad your mum said something to those idiots chelsea there is no age to a great mum, one of the best mothers I knew was 17 at the time.

Damn bh are doing my bloody head in

WhisperMen · 28/11/2013 14:32

ooh mum I would have thrown the boot at her head. Cheek of her!

BH are rubbish aren't they alyssa There is no bloody point to them other than to make you uncomfortable.

I feel really sick now. It's come from nowhere, I am just going to hide under a blanket and hope I feel better soon Sad

Stom91 · 28/11/2013 14:52

whisper I've been sick twice this morning. It's not nice! Stupid illness
I've bought some olbas oil to put on my tissue it'll be ok won't it it's not like I'm swallowing it?

OP posts:
LadyMedea · 28/11/2013 17:08

stom go for the olbas oil at this stage I think anything you don't swallow is ok! get hold of some sterimar saline nasal spray if you can. I've had a blocked nose all the way through this pregnancy and although you think salt water on its own wouldn't work it actually does even if it feels weird.

mum I've had that pain associated with my SPD, and the physio mentioned it to. Don't know if it's all the muscles struggling. If you've got a support belt or can get your hands on one they are great at for holding up the bump.

Right baby has been commanded now to stay put until next Wednesday lunchtime after DH's exam. Too close now for baby to make an appearance and him to still have a decent chance. I'll be 39+6 by then so here's hoping. Baby is low but no signs of bloody show or anything and I'm happy waiting for DH's sake.

mumoftwoboysS · 28/11/2013 17:19

lady I've got a bump belt actually and it is a lifesaver! Doesn't stop the pain but is miles better than not wearing it! Yeah makes sense that it's probably my poor muscles struggling with my insanely sticky out bump.

Ooh I've had a stuffy nose the whole time and haven't used anything tho was tempted to buy nasal spray then thought if might be bad for baby. Maybe I'll try the saline spray- trying to fall asleep with a blocked/stuffy nose drives me crazy!!

Alyssa1978 · 28/11/2013 18:06

Oh yes whisper they are completely pointless.

Been at my mums and for the last 2 hours had stomach tightening with pain starting in lower back and making its way to the front, starting from my fanjo and shooting upwards, they've been coming every 9/10 minutes so far but only lasting about 40ish seconds.
Last one at 6.04 so will see if another one hits Hmm

NomDeClavier · 28/11/2013 18:08

For more support than a bump belt try getting a long piece of fabric and wrapping it all the way round your bump like a belt. I use a woven wrap but it's doable with a tablecloth (just probably not out and about).

Sounds like everyone has end of pregnancy-itis.

whisper definitely go for comfort. Being there in the very late stages of pregnancy is heroic enough without killing your feet.

lady I reckon if you want to hold off labour enough you can. You'll go into labour about 2 hours after you give the okay Wink

stom sympathy on the cold. DS has given me his and I feel shite. I can never take anything for colds anyway but being pregnant and coldy is even worse.

chelsea those old bags sound a right pair of judgy pants. It's not like you're 12.... I'm sure people are judging me silently. I look younger than I am and with DS and a bump it's not a great combination Grin I still get ID'd buying booze on far too frequent a basis.

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 28/11/2013 18:11

Why did I think IKEA would be a good idea?!
I mean, yeah I got loads of good stuff, but now I'm in freaking agony,my SPD is killing me,I'm having Tons of BH and stomach cramps and I'm chronically grumpy...if it doesn't turn into labour I'm going to be so annoyed.

DP has made dinner and is putting the DC to bed,he's then under instructions to go out and buy chocolate.

Urgh. Just Urgh.

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 28/11/2013 18:13

Oh yeah,I have the cold too.
Shit isn't it. It comes with a hacking cough and the inability to Breathe

Alyssa1978 · 28/11/2013 18:14

Another one hit at 6.11 so 7 mins from last one, ooh it'll be nothing lol

Stom91 · 28/11/2013 18:16

Thanks girls no thought it would be fine. (Not that it's helping lol)
Got to go to the PIL on Saturday for 'Christmas, I haven't seen them since July and I really don't feel well enough but know I should go.
I'm guna see how I am. It's going to be such a Lonnnggg day though :/

WhisperMen · 28/11/2013 18:31

good luck alyssa

BohemianRaspberry · 28/11/2013 18:40

MW today and BP up a little. Fucksocks. However he is 4/5 engaged and pressing down firmly.

Also been told if I have any more periods of reduced movements I MUST go for a trace. Hopefully there's no problems and just a precaution.

I now have a Saturday appointment to remeasure it. Pretty sure the highness is due to stress and not enough exercise so gym it is tomorrow.

mumoftwoboysS · 28/11/2013 19:13

Ooh alyssa I'm going to be checking so keep us updated! Fingers crossed this could be it!

bohemian that's great that baby is 4/5 engaged, obviously bp up not so great. I haven't had as much movement today but have had some....not sure if it's just cos baby has run out of room. I guess the big test is later as he/she usually starts having a party in there when I lay down to sleep...

itsliz · 28/11/2013 19:29

Oooh that sounds promising Alyssa! Fingers crossed, will be thinking of you!

Alyssa1978 · 28/11/2013 19:30

Well I've been in the shower to see if the warm water took them away like when I normally get BH but they are still 7 minutes apart but feeling a bit stronger now and my lower back is really hurting me and I've got loads of pressure in my rear and front end.

WhisperMen · 28/11/2013 19:31

sounds promising alyssa

kchapper5 · 28/11/2013 19:33

Ohh alyssa fingers crossed its something happening :) ill keep popping in to check x
