Morning ladies! Seems like everyones feeling crap again, I personally think being heavily pregnant at one of the busiest times of the year does not help either with the rushing around/cold weather/stress of it all!

I had a little think last night and have asked my mum to give up the drink or she cannot be around the baby...shes been straight on the phone and booked a doctors app and meeting for next week...we shall see how it ends up shes been drinking for 14 years with a 2 year break when my little brother was born. She is not a bad mum she does anything for my brother but enough is enough!

On the up-side I passed my driving theory today woo! Now atleast when the baby is here I will be motivated to pass my test:)

Hope everyone has a great day.

extracrunchy · 23/11/2013 13:15

Chelsea that all sounds very positive - and great your mum is on board Smile

Stom91 · 23/11/2013 13:44

Hi peeps. So much to catch up on.
Sorry to those that aren't sleeping. Motto rub it in but I am gettin a good sleep. Just erring up to pee a lot lol. I can only sleep if I hug dp though lol
I just feel the need to be close to him lately.

Chelsea congrats on passing! And I hope your mum gives up the drink!

Ive woken up with a sore throat a feeling lathargic and just pants lol. Sooooo fed up of being pregnant and in a cold flat. Dp is getting worried cos my cough is getting worse from the cold and damp. He keeps saying 'don't worry babe 2 weeks and we will be in a warm house'

I really don't think I could handle going over due!

frouby so jel of the long sleep Wink xx

Featherbag · 23/11/2013 17:19

We just got home! I will try and catch up tomorrow but I barely have the concentration to spell my own name right now! I'm sitting with lovely sleepy little Ben on my chest, he's just finished feeding and he's so snuggly!

I feel like I've been kicked in the stomach by a horse, and sneezing/coughing/nose-blowing is painful, but I feel surprisingly well! Did Angry have her CS on Friday? Hope you all aren't feeling too wretched, I can report that the end result is definitely worth it :)

WhisperMen · 23/11/2013 17:40

good news on being home feather least you get your own bed tonight. I am very jealous of your cuddles with baby ben. My little angel is currently trying to scrape my its way through my cervix. Or at least that's what I imagine it to be doing.

Alyssa1978 · 23/11/2013 18:29

Congrats on being home with Ben feather I've never read anything from angry for a while so I'm not sure.
I hope you have some string pain killers Hun.

That's exactly what mine feels like whisper like he has a sharp tool digging his way out lol.

froubylou · 23/11/2013 18:50

That's lovely news feathers. Make sure you take your painkillers and rest. It wasn't so long ago we were in hospital a minimum of 5 days post c section so make sure you are in bed or on the sofa resting as much as possible.

Feel rough as old boots today. Felt sicky and crampy all day. Really bad indigestion and very acidy. Had some really sharp pains earlier on. Low down just above my bikini line. Lasted a good 2 minutes. Managed eventually to get off the sofa and dragged myself into bath.

Had some tea and now back in bed lol. Just been watching baby seb try and claw his way out of my belly button. So know he is fine in there!

Think the sharp stabby pain was a foot or something trying to find a way out.

BohemianRaspberry · 23/11/2013 19:10

Hey hey I'm still in existence but still feeling queasy - managed to get through the day with in-laws visiting which was lovely (they bought so many presents for Junior - he fgets to recline on a lambskin liner, lucky boy) but now zonked on the sofa just feeling peaky again - same as you frouby

Occasionally get sharp pains but nothing different than usual although Junior's momvements are slowing down and getting more drawn out as he runs out of space.

Luckily DH is being lovely and has cooked and cleaned all morning and evening even though he got not much more sleep than I did. Smile

MildredH · 23/11/2013 19:37

Wow feather- I thought 48 hours was the minimum stay! Well done for escaping- expect you're much happier at home. Hope you're able to have your feet up.

mumoftwoboysS · 23/11/2013 20:04

stom funny, I can't sleep if DH is near me! I just get too hot for starters then the restless leg kicks in. Been feeling pretty p'd off with him today tho- he's been all narky and impatient with the kids- he's so great with them too he just can't take it when there's lots of fighting/crying and theres been plenty of that today- but he only has this 2 days a week, I have it every day! I've been in a bad mood from him snapping at me and I'm just all grr!! Now he's gone out for the night so I'm going to try and chill. Was going to make a cushion cover for the nursery but not sure I can be bothered!....

mumoftwoboysS · 23/11/2013 20:08

feather must be good to be home! Hope you get some sleep tho I know it's hard with a newborn!

Chelsealady · 23/11/2013 20:49

Welcome home Baby Ben and Feather!

Stom91 · 23/11/2013 21:25

mum I'm always cold! Probs doesn't help the flat is freezing. If he falls asleep in a position I can't cuddle him then I can't sleep! I have to cuddle him for at least half an hour before I can sleep haha.
I think it may stem from when I was a kid and I had to sleep in the same bed as my parents (there were rats in the flat & mum didn't want to leave me alone while they were there) ever since I've found it really hard to sleep alone.

Had a are throat all day and my cough is getting worse. I have a feeling I'm going to wake up with a cold :( taken some honey&lemon cough mixture to help soothe it. (Label says it's fine to take)

Dp been at his cousins all day and he's br

tmi alert Any tips for the toilet ladies?? I have had really bad anaemia all my life but since being pregnant the doc has put me on a prescription iron tablet. Its been 6 days without a clear out!!!

snowqu33n · 24/11/2013 01:41

Hi, sorry for time lapse Alyssa, Mildred . Been here 6 years, initially thought it would be just one year for a career break, but I like it here and met DH! I was teaching English until we moved house in October, waiting to see how it goes with baby before starting work again. The language is REALLY difficult though, very diff. to European languages.
Also, some different cultural norms - at the hospital they will give us baby's umbilical chord in a special box if it comes off, or the box to store it in. I think we are supposed to keep it until he leaves home or sth, then hand it over to him...Smile

thecherryontop · 24/11/2013 03:10

Hi everyone!
Just to update you all -my waters started going at around 2am on sat morn (38 wks) then had more trickles around 5:30am -felt contractions start 7ish and got to hospital 8 ish -in my foolishness trying to take paracetamol at home as hadnt even got the tens out of the box! Got to hospital where was told was 4cm in triage -went to labour room where was about to get epidural when the midwives realised I was crowning and baby born straight away! Had been trying to tell them my body was pushing but they didnt seem to believe me! They and me were completely shocked! Little baby girl born straight away!

Too good to be true though -placenta wouldn't come away so ended up needing a spinal and having it taken away in theatre despite having the injection to try to get rid of it Hmm anyway, have now just been moved from assessment and really hope to get home tomorrow once catheter is out Hmm -hate hospitals -have had major anxiety all day after the spinal and my heart rate was spiking. Am absolutely itching to get out and doubt will sleep -plus baby is so quiet that need to keep checking her Smile

Hope all you ladies hang in there or go when you want to :) still feel like I will wake up and find it was a dream! lots of love xx

Chilli81 · 24/11/2013 04:19

extracrunchy · 24/11/2013 07:20

Cherry that's lovely news (apart from the stubborn placenta)!

Huge congratulations and hope you're home soon. Smile

13loki · 24/11/2013 07:37

Congratulations cherry.

I am 39 weeks now, and it must be my turn. But I am sure I will go 2 weeks over. Yesterday I sorted and refolded all the sheets and quilt covers, and put them in different cupboards for different bed sizes. I also wrote the bed size on the tags, so when I wash sheets I can easily put them in the right place.
