Welcome MissRatty! When are you due?

Haven't had SPD fortunately, but definitely have a kicked in the crotch feeling all the time. And I'm also getting a bit bored already.

My Mum's on the way over just now to stay the night (travelling anywhere is such a massive pain in the arse). Gave her a phone to whine pathetically say "Muuuuuuuuum? Could you maybe get me a bottle of diet coke? And a tuna roll? And a twix? I don't have any fooooooood! Well ok, I do have food but I can't be bothered making iiiiiit!"

Yup, definitely ready to be a Mum over here. Grin

mumoftwoboysS · 22/11/2013 14:13

Welcome too missRatty

Argh! I can't sleep! Ds went down for a nap and I thought great, I can have one too but can I sleep? NO! I've never been able to nap, so frustrating. Is there a knack to it?? I had an hour now I have 15 mins left so may as well get up..

MissRatty · 22/11/2013 15:32

I'm due on the 8th Dec, but feel ready now! Too impatient.

I could do with a twix now too...I may just go and raid the cupboards! I'm having problems sleeping too. Was the constant loo needing, but now just struggling in general, thinking too much maybe, excited, can't get comfy etc. and nightsweats? Gees, I'm getting super drenched at night even though its freezing!

I've always found napping hard, apart from in the first trimester where I pretty much fell asleep anywhere and anytime! Maybe could you try an eyemask and get somewhere comfy with something boring on tv or radio?

NomDeClavier · 22/11/2013 15:35

Blush I just burst into tears in a doctors appt, started talking to DH (who wasn't even there) in English and sent the med student out the room. Not my finest moment. Send chocolate. A twix will do nicely...

BohemianRaspberry · 22/11/2013 15:52

fallen behind on the thread but congratulations feather and *nom I think you should stuff yourself with chocolate! I cry in about 50% of my MW appts

Mngaed a full three hours in town christmas shopping before pelvic pain and little heads pressed in uncomfortable places got far too uncomfortable. Nearly finished!

Fell asleep on sofa though and somehow rolled onto my back. Must stop doing that!

Roselau · 22/11/2013 16:03

Welcome missratty I find it hard to nap too. most successful is usually when I find reruns of old tv show, then sometimes I can fall asleep

UpThe get the 65 cm. I am 5'6 and it's perfect for me. The rule is that when you sit on it, your knees should be at a right angle, or below your hips.

36 weeks tomorrow... I am also jealous of those of you that are closer to 38/39. In the evenings, I've started having BH with mild period pains (but maybe I'm imagining it?). I'm hoping it means she's starting to figure out where the exit is... I want her to be as fully cooked as possible but I wouldn't mind her arriving a few days early really so that we can have our first Christmas as a family.

MissRatty · 22/11/2013 16:15

I'm still sleeping on my back...only way I can get comfy and mw said it was fine...your body will let you know when something isn't right. Can't wait to be able to sleep on my front though!

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 22/11/2013 16:45

I got my ball!

Alyssa1978 · 22/11/2013 17:32

Me too pistachio my mum even said today he hopes he comes soon to get the normal me back instead of the moany twisty one Shock

ccsays yes that def would've been a better description of what popped up on google

missratty that's how my labours normally start, just a dull period cramp until they get underway

Alyssa1978 · 22/11/2013 17:35

bohemian I Can't sleep on my back, as soon as I roll over I find it very much harder to breathe.

Enjoy the bouncing upthe

Sorry you can't nap mum I can't either Sad

itsliz · 22/11/2013 17:35

Welcome to the thread MissRatty! We've also got a Facebook group that you're more than welcome to join, if you fancy it Smile

Chelsea I've had no signs so far, apart from a few period pains the other day and feeling slightly damp (think I was imagining it though as there was nothing there when I checked!)
On Monday MW said that baby is head down and ready to engage but hasn't started yet, so it looks like I've still got a long way to go...
Must be so frustrating going into early labour and having nothing since though Sad

I've been getting baby envy lately too! Went to the hospital yesterday for my BF workshop (which turned out to be very informative but it overran by an hour and there was a LOT to take in! Left feeling a little bit overwhelmed and panicking that I won't remember how to feed my little one when he finally arrives...!)
But while I was waiting to go in, I saw sooo many people going upstairs to visit new babies and realised I was on the verge of tears as I wanted to be up there having MY baby, haha!

Still catching up on the thread as a friend came over to visit today. Was lovely to have a catch up and a coffee but I feel knackered from all that talking now!
Anyone else feeling tired after doing even the slightest thing?!

MissRatty · 22/11/2013 17:36

upthe you've inspired me...now on the ball too trying to knit without falling off!

Alyssa1978 · 22/11/2013 18:00

Well.....very often dull pains, tightening of the stomach and who wants to bloody bet it stops again.
Although dp has an all day/night out tomorrow with his friends and thinks ill go into labour so he can't go lmao. I hope I do, not to stop him going but because I am so ready Grin

Feel really wet too xx

Dasie · 22/11/2013 18:02

CC & Nom I've ordered a snuzpod too and it's being delivered on the 6th dec, 6 days after due date! Luckily I've had a Moses basket bought so opted for the £30 money back to say sorry for the delayed delivery.

I've not used an exercise ball before, are they worth getting? x

ccsays · 22/11/2013 18:08

Hmmmmm, I looked this morning and the website said pre-order for delivery on December 6th. It now says pre-order for deliver December 10th Hmm

ccsays · 22/11/2013 18:12

No idea about the ball btw, but my midwife recommended it and you can get on for about a fiver.

froubylou · 22/11/2013 18:13

I'm sat outside kfc whilst dp is buying food. Nom nom nom.

MissRatty · 22/11/2013 18:13

Does anyone have the link for the facebook page? Do others see if you've joined? I haven't made it public knowledge on fb that i'm preggers as I have a few friends going through IVF and I don't want to be insensistive, plus there is one friend who rang me up every day whenmy other friend was due to find out what was happening (as my other friend so really annoyed and stopped answering her phone) and I don't want her toknow when i'm due in case she starts calling all the time again!

WhisperMen · 22/11/2013 18:14

dasie I luffs my ball. It's so comfy for my hips and back and it's lots of fun to bounce while watching tv Grin best £6 dp has spent in a long time.

went to see the new hunger games movie today. It's 2.5 hours long and I was so caught up in it I didn't get up to pee once. had to hobble like a crab afterwards though haha Grin

hope your pains turn into something alyssa

Featherbag · 22/11/2013 18:18

Loving newborn snuggles, but so tired now I'm hallucinating! Still in hospital, should get out tomorrow.

Alyssa1978 · 22/11/2013 18:31

Aww bless you feather hope you get some sleep soon Hun xx

itsliz · 22/11/2013 18:34

MissRatty, whisper or stom will be able to sort you out with an invite to the FB group. It's private so no-one will be able to see that you've joined or posted anything, as a lot of people are in the same boat.

Frouby Oooooh I would kill for a KFC right now, DP is making dinner but no matter how good it is, it won't be half as yummy as a KFC now that you've mentioned it! Grin

Dasie I got an exercise ball from Sports Direct for about £6 and it's fab! Makes it so much easier to get comfy when my back and hips are hurting as it spreads the weight of my bump out a bit and helps with doing gentle exercises.

13loki · 22/11/2013 18:48

Oh you meany, frouby There is no KFC in Sweden. I would have to go to Denmark to get KFC (don't think I haven't contemplated it- but I can't rosk having baby in another country, she will be born stateless and we couldn't cross borders until I sort out citizenship.)

WhisperMen · 22/11/2013 18:59

no kfc in sweeden. how do you survive without kfc gravy?! you poor woman loki. we're having sausage and chips from the chippy for dinner and I also have a giant bag of chilli doritos to demolish. Grin

violetbean · 22/11/2013 19:13

missratty, welcome to the thread! The FB group is 'secret' so no-one can see that you're part of it. Send a PM to Stom or Whisper with a link to your FB profile and they can add you. Smile

Pizza for dinner here, we have family staying so having a celebratory takeaway! Nom nom nom. Grin
