Arghhh!! Stupid phone.
Mine was thrush. can the mw do a swab or don't have to go to the dr? I'm hoping she can do it on ties as I think it's come back.

Milky girls I think we're fine:

'It's normal to have more vaginal discharge than usual while you're pregnant. Healthy discharge should look thin and milky in colour.

However, you may have thrush if:
The discharge becomes thick, white and creamy, and looks similar to cottage cheese. It may be odourless, or have a yeasty smell.
You have itching, soreness or redness in or around your vagina.'

Just found that

Think I may need a few virtual slaps. Have forgiven/forgotten the strop from DH, made dinner, sat down to eat. We've had a little mouse problem recently, just one mouse, downstairs, we know how it got in, DH going to get a humane trap during the week. Not that bothered, we live very close to farmland, these things happen. Anyway, DH comes down from putting DS to bed and tells me he's now seen the mouse upstairs, and I go into total meltdown. Absolutely inconsolable. Cannot bear the thought of a mouse running around while I'm asleep, more importantly while DS is asleep. I'm totally knackered and desperate to sleep, I feel physically battered, but the thought of going and lying in that bed is making me feel very very unhappy. I'm afraid I asked DH what on earth possessed him to tell me, now he's being very quiet, think he's afraid to speak.

I feel very on edge, like I could just sit and sob. I know the mouse isn't the main problem, I just don't know what is. Just passed a glob of white jelly-mucosy stuff too which isn't helping my overall mood.

MrsShrubs · 17/11/2013 23:02

Oh feather bless you you're not doing well this evening!

Where did he see the mouse? Can you check completely one room, under beds etc and you and DS sleep in there for the night if its all clear with the door shut and send DH into the other room??

BetterWithCheese · 17/11/2013 23:11

Feather I'm not surprised you're on edge and emotional, you're scared you're going into labour when you really don't want to be! The mucous plug coming out won't be helping? Throw in a stroppy DH and a mouse and I think we'd all be struggling. Maybe you need a good cry-it might relieve some stress Thanks

ccsays · 18/11/2013 04:14

Hello all, I've been out of this thread for aaaages, hope you're all well. I'm struggling with pregnancy insomnia (obviously), general discomfort and feeling like I've been hoofed in the crotch. Remember when you could turn over in bed without it being such a chore? Ah, those were the days.

Had an incident with DP a few days ago where he made a misguided stupid fucking joke about how hard it is being pregnant. Cue ugly, hysterical, snot crying from me and I'M IN PAIN ALL THE TIME sob AND YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE nose blow AND WHY WOULD YOU SAY SOMETHING SO MEAN?! almost vomit because you've upset yourself so much. I don't think I've ever had him look so guilty/be so apologetic.

My advice would be to have a good cry featherbag, you'll feel much better Grin

WhisperMen · 18/11/2013 07:27

good morning everyone.

feather it's no wonder you're on edge. you're stressed out by being in early labour! cut yourself some slack woman. oh and I got my antibiotics last night Smile

I got into bed at around 7 last night to read my kindle and apparently fell asleep. woke up at 6.50 this morning. I didn't wake up once in the night so I think I must have been bloody tired! off to the hospital this morning for a check of my bp and pee. hopefully nothing more than a uti is going on ignores the swollen legs everything is fiiiiiiiine Grin

NomDeClavier · 18/11/2013 07:32

Good cries are therapeutic. I sobbed all over DH last night after bursting into tears 5 times this weekend for very little reason. The last was because he reminded me to expect Amazon packages today and got narky when I said he'd already asked me to take the car to the garage so I'd be out in the morning until around 10.30. We also have no bread so I'll have to factor buying that as well before lunch....

You, on the other hand, are perfectly justified feather. Labour is enough to make anyone weepy and I'd be on edge every time something happened if I had an ELCS booked! Plus a mouse in the house and you did well not to bunk out to a hotel!

whisper look after yourself and take that swelling seriously. A UTI can mask PE but they should be able to separate that out with tests which look at ketones vs dead white blood cells.

stom you can refuse an ECV. You can refuse any kind if medical intervention if you want to but an ECV is a fairly reasonable thing to refuse. Just be very insistent that you don't want it before they touch you - some people have had unconsenting ECVs which are downright unsafe ("I'll just palpate....ah baby is breech, let's see if baby will move...okay head down now" type thing).

On the subject of plugs mine just fell out last night in two or three big lumps the size of my palm, and looked rather like snot. Oh the glamour Grin

alyssa I'm joining you on the shouty mummy bench.

Welcome better (love your name, true of almost everything) and crunchy.

Still thinking of you clare. Come on baby!!!

NomDeClavier · 18/11/2013 07:37

Oh and on the birth plan point definitely worth doing a bullet point 'at a glance' version with the really important stuff - medical conditions, any contraindications to standard practice or if you do want an epidural straight away and any important details about the delivery like MW not announcing the sex, DH/P cutting the cord etc.

Things like pain relief they'll probably ask. In that sense birth plans are more useful for you to clarify your thoughts than they are to MWs who tend to assume women are going for the most natural birth possible.

MrsEllsmore · 18/11/2013 07:47

Crikey a lot went on yesterday! I managed my long drive without incident, then went out with some friends as planned for a lovely hot chocolate. Got dropped off back at my mum's to a surprise baby shower which all my naughty friends were in on. Am slightly concerned how well everyone can lie but had a lovely afternoon and baby Ellsmore has been completely spoilt with lots of presents Grin

Was completely shattered by the end but just thought I'd remind us all of some of the better bits of being pregnant Smile

Now to keep my legs crossed until I get home on Wednesday at least!

Alyssa1978 · 18/11/2013 07:57

Good morning everyone.

I would love to get up one morning lately and not twist about something.
Dp last night making his bait for work this morning and loaded the sink with all his dishes after all I'd done all day was friggin housework and washing dishes, so cue me telling him I'm sick of cleaning up after him first thing on a morning and to wash the damn dishes now please before he goes to work and did he?
NO!! He put hot water no washing up liquid in the sink looked after himself and fucked off to work so the dishes will be exactly where he's left them when he gets in.
I'm soon to have 3 kids I don't need a third!!!
Arggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Phew feel better now lol. Grin

feather bless you, how you feeling Hun?
nom I'm hoping the shouty me dissapears once this baby comes out.
whisper ill echo what nom said and watch that swelling etc Hun.
ccsays I'm getting a sharp pain on my right side if I sleep on tht side too long and then roll over ouch but last night was the first night in ages I only got up once and didnt feel restless.

clare hoping your well under way now Hun and really ready for newborn snuggles.
stom EVC is something ill definately be refusing, I never realised how dangerous they were until I read a story on here the other day about that poor lady loosing her daughter at 39.5 weeks Sad

Alyssa1978 · 18/11/2013 08:00

dont need a fourth even lol

That's lovely of them mrs I've had 3 pregnancies and never had a shower of any kind, you're very lucky. Hope baby got lots of cute things.
Xx

extracrunchy · 18/11/2013 08:07

Wow Whisper, that's epic sleeping!

How are you feeling today, Feather? Sounded like you deserved a good cry.

Mrs that sounds like a lovely surprise!

Nom how many weeks are you? Plug - exciting!!

PistachioTruffle · 18/11/2013 08:30

Aaarrrghhhh! I got woken up at 4am this morning by the house alarm in a neighbours empty house going off, which it did periodically all day yesterday. Don't they know how difficult it is for me to get to sleep nowadays?! Don't they know I should be sleeping as much as possible?! because, as some 'kind' folk keep reminding me, I'm about to have a baby and NEVER SLEEP AGAIN!!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH.

Sorry about that. In all seriousness though, how do you deal with people going on and on about resting because 'this is your last chance', and 'make sure you sleep a lot beforehand'. I know I'm going to be tired and the baby will keep me awake through the night, I'm not totally ignorant of this fact, but some people seem to actually enjoy crowing about it. I've tried explaining that it's actually impossible to preload on sleep, but it doesn't work. Next time I'm going to poke the helpful 'advisor' in the eye Hmm

Feather, that mouse would have finished me off. Hope you're ok this morning everyone!

MrsShrubs · 18/11/2013 08:33

For those not on the FB group we've had another birth very early this morning dizzy has had a little girl, she's prem at 33weeks and all being looked after

Alyssa1978 · 18/11/2013 09:15

Congrats to dizzy hope everyone is ok and being well looked after.

Ok! This morning, more expel of plug i mean how much of this damn stuff is there 2 bouts of diahhreah and just threw up liquid I don't even remember drinking Hmm
Seriously I really think the bad pains need to kick in now Grin I mean its all well and good cleaning out the body to make it easier for baby to get out but I do have to eat, which means I guess we ill be king this again tomorrow Confused

Alyssa1978 · 18/11/2013 09:16

We will be doing this again tomorrow that was meant to be.....damn ipad.

Applepiesky · 18/11/2013 09:22

BohemianRaspberry · 18/11/2013 10:32

hi ladies - all of you passing plugs and whatnot is terrifying me currently as I'm 36+4! Pistachio I really want to punch people who go on about the no sleeping thing - it's like they think "You know what? I don't think you feel bad enough yet.", worse still it's not just people with babies saying it. I'm just longing for someone to tell me something nice about having a baby.

Junior has been moving, stretching and pushing constantly at me recently - particularly in the evenings where no position is comfortable either sitting, standing or kneeling. He never seems to stop moving.

In other news, you cannot get a gas engineer out within 3 days for love nor money so I'm sat in a freezing house for the forseeable future frantically ringing gas engineers. I have managed to find one and booked for tomorrow that clashes with my mental health appt. DH announces this morning he on a course tomorrow and has refused to leave it early to come and housesit (he works five minutes away) and had a go at me this morning for not reading the google calendar properly, so I have had to cancel the appt and just been left in tears.

Plus I don't even know if we can recover any of the costs on our insurance as DH forgot to put me on the policy and they won't talk to me or tell me anything.

LadyMedea · 18/11/2013 10:37

Ok shall I test the no apologising for TMI....

Just spent 10 minutes contorting with a hand mirror trying to inspect my foof and bum. Bum is sore post gastroenteritis... Good news is I can't see any haemorrhoids, just a bit of a sore spot so cue a bit of sudocrem and bum TLC. What was weird was my whole bum area has changed colour. Normally it's skin colour with just a pinky brown bum.... Now the whole area is deep brown. How odd....

Foof is still unhappy with thrush so now been plastered in canesten. The doc on Thursday mentioned prescribing three pessaries but there was only one from the pharmacy.... Think it's going to take something nuclear to get rid of it. Seeing my doc on Thursday so will hang on until then.

Oh and my boobs have also changed shape... Feeling like the Venus of Willendorf en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venus_of_Willendorf always disturbed me that she didn't have a face
