Sorry about sad post i cant imagine a good outcome for me so i wont post again. Thank you for making me smile being in your club

seatfor5 · 28/10/2013 20:37

Becka :( I do know how you feel this is my 4th as well and again I have never bleed before, it may still be ok you do need to at least call the doctor because they need to make sure you are ok good luck Hugs x

Liquidambar · 28/10/2013 20:45

Beckala I am so sorry :( wishing you all the best. Stay strong and good luck

I hope everyone will have a good night and hopefully tomorrow will bring good news and sticky beans! Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone.

Gilly enjoy EuroDisney. I went there in 1993 and had a great time! Wouldn't mind to go back again :)

Beckala · 28/10/2013 20:59

Thank you x Just to add to my sad i just went & fell down the stairs, hurting my arm, fingers & bum. Had the biggest cry but im back as okay as can be. I just thought of all the others who have gracefully had to cope & i am a snotty mess. Beau giving me cuddles & making my heart smile.

Liquidambar · 28/10/2013 21:09

beckala oh dear. .. I hope you are okay. and please come here whenever you need.I guess that is the purpose of virtual communities. However, I'm sure you have the best nurse at the moment Wink

MarlenaGru · 28/10/2013 21:19

So sorry beckala

gilly I adore disneyland. Have been 4 times now Blush
Enjoy it all but mostly the parades and shows if you have to skip the rides.

Beckala · 28/10/2013 21:26

Seat you will have to do 4th time please so i can check in & see you get your number 4. I have my 2 & a stepson so we are seat for 5 too. It is fun always wanted a large family x I will call gps tomorrow & will try keep pma. Thank you all again. I had my date wrong should of been june 2nd so maybe 8 week normal bleed back to hoping & tomorrow has to be a good news day for everyone who needs it to be so badly

Emmazers · 28/10/2013 21:26

Feeling so rough this morning but a friend came over, made us lunch and did all the washing up! That cheered me up no end Smile

We had a first meeting with our independent midwife today, which was great. We told her the story of DD1's unnecaesarian and she was really supportive of our wish for a HBAC. Is anyone else going for a VBAC or even a HBAC?

Emmazers · 28/10/2013 21:29

So sorry to hear that Beckala. Best wishes for the future x

WifeofGru · 28/10/2013 22:06

Marking place. Thinking of all of you with bleeding and hoping all turns out ok at scans.
gilly there are queue jumping passes for certain rides and priority spaces at parades if you are pregnant. You get them at guest services or the equivalent. Ask when you arrive. We weren't told about them til the last day and I was 30 weeks with DD2.

cheesysmile · 28/10/2013 22:23

Oh becka bless you, sounds like you have had an awfully tough time anyway. I hope this is just a breakthrough bleed for you and all will be ok. Its ok to cry though, do whatever feels best. Big hugs Flowers

superlambanana · 28/10/2013 22:34

Crossing fingers for all the beans. It's all so scary. I reckon we don't need hormones to send our moods all over the place!

adaloveslace · 29/10/2013 03:55

I haven't been posting much, but have been keeping up. Beckala, I just wanted to say I'm so, so sorry to hear about your bleeding and also about your gorgeous son. You must be an incredibly strong woman. Please don't stop posting. Do you still have a glimmer of hope at all?

Bludger, fingers tightly crossed for good news at the GPs.

I have my booking appt with my obstetrician and hopefully dating scan at lunchtime on Thursday. I can't remember whether she actually said I'd have a dating scan or if I optimistically made that bit up. I am 8 weeks now and so, so, tired. Slightly sick on and off too but mainly it's the tiredness that's killing me. I'd feel much better about it all if I get to see a weeny heartbeat on Thursday.

NessieMcFessie · 29/10/2013 06:26

Fingers crossed for you Beckala - hoping for the best.

Magpie78 · 29/10/2013 06:32

Beckla do go and see your dr/midwife/EPU.
Will be thinking about you today, keep up with the pma. Thanks

ohcluttergotme · 29/10/2013 06:38

Thinking of you Beckala.
Wishing everyone well
We all slept so much better last night, amazing how much better you feel with a good nights sleep. ??

Bezzabelle · 29/10/2013 07:10

Have been keeping up with This thread but not posting much as been on the hg support one as been feeling so terrible. Am sorry to hear about all the bleeding, it is a really anxious time, fingers crossed for everyone.

I had a scan today at 9 weeks- eek!

Snowlet · 29/10/2013 08:15

So many worries right now, I suppose this is the time for it. We're all trying to make our way through the minefield that is the first trimester. Good thoughts to pjen, London, becka, bludger and anyone I may have missed, crossing everything for you.

This is my third day without severe MS and it's worrying. I can't enjoy it. Last night I dreamt I m/c'd. Found out some distressing news about my little brother and I think it's put me into an "anxiety spiral" so shall spend today trying to calm down.

On the upside, it's a beautiful morning out there (at least in Leeds). I'm glad the storm has passed. I hope everyone was alright in it.

MTMD · 29/10/2013 08:34

Good morning all!

I caved in and just made a cup of coffee after 3 weeks of no caffeine. I was dying for some coffee since waking up with a headache this morning... What about you guys? Coffee/no coffee? When ms kicks in its a bit if a no no for me but on a day like today.. It tastes heavenly!

MTMD · 29/10/2013 08:44

Emma could you tell us more about the independent midwife? I thought they no longer exist because of changes in law, insurance, etc. I'd really like to a natural birth but none of London hospital have good ND rates, I can't understand why and want to look into all options..

Wishing everyone a good day with positive thoughts and sticky beans!

bludgerwitch · 29/10/2013 09:00

Well, my morning sickness is still here, yay? Envy

I'm about to pop out and pay for our house (OMG!) and get a couple of groceries, might treat myself to a decaf pumpkin latte, and then I'll come back home and curl up with the dog for the rest of the day.

Emmazers · 29/10/2013 09:07

MTMD It's a bit complicated but essentially the government are (shockingly) actually being helpful. The legislation came from the EU but the government hasn't translated it into UK law yet, so it isn't yet in effect, though it should be by now. They are working with Independent Midwives UK to get an affordable insurance package sorted out before they do, so it's looking like it won't affect anything. To be perfectly honest, even if something went wrong with the insurance and my IM wasn't able to be medically involved at the birth I would greatly value having the benefit of her great experience and knowledge combined with her knowing my particular situation and wishes. Though I tried to inform myself thoroughly before the birth of my daughter I still felt that my ignorance was deliberately exploited at multiple points and was even outright lied to on occasion!

Indie midwives often have skills that community and hospital midwives have lost, such as breech delivery, which is one of the reasons why they have much better ND rates. They also aren't contractually bound by the needs of the hospital or the NHS, like time constraints, which can be at odds with what's best for mothers and babies.

You might want to have a look at the IMUK website:
www.independentmidwives.org.uk

Snowlet · 29/10/2013 09:34

Talking about indie midwives has reminded me to ask, is anyone thinking of hiring a doula? We go back and forth, I've heard nothing but great things from friends who have used them, but it is expensive.
