Marlena - I feel your pain! I don't have any suggestions but am in exactly the same boat, feel like poo with so much on this week!

superlambanana · 04/11/2013 08:11

I know what you mean - currently trying to steel myself to get up but feeling sooo sick every time I move. Cramps are starting again too. I can work from home a bit but I feel too bad to even do that Hmm

MarlenaGru · 04/11/2013 08:22

Here's to surviving the day! I have nearly survived the train journey which is a major hurdle.

MTMD · 04/11/2013 08:22

Good morning ladies

I attempted to my way work, nearly passed out on the tube about half way, changed trains and went back home. And threw up for the first time. Welcome to 8 weeks!

I feel really guilty because today was the day I could not r

MTMD · 04/11/2013 08:25

... ring sick but here we go.. My body won't listen to my mind. So now I have to tell my manager which does not thril me because she loves gossip so everyone will know. And she isn't the supportive type either, in case anything goes wrong (fx not!)

Anyway, hope everyone else has a good day and emma I know what you mean about dreams, mine are currently epic!!

Micasaestucasa · 04/11/2013 08:45

Best of luck Emmazers.

Yes, I get the vivid /trippy dreams. A lot of them are sexual! Blush Which is ironic. I couldn't feel any less sexy at the moment...

Micasaestucasa · 04/11/2013 08:47

Poor you MTMD. You did the right thing. Have lots of sympathy for early pregnant women getting on the tube.

hackneybird · 04/11/2013 09:09

Hello all, may I join?

I'm 8+2 (I think) and due 15th June. Like all of you I am feeling HORRENDOUS and struggling with exhaustion and nausea. I have a 4 yo DS and I am finding having a child and a job very hard! My husband is very hands on and supportive though.

I have been eating incredible amounts of food - having 2 breakfasts and then a hearty lunch :(. Also been craving beef flavoured crisps, bran flakes and strawberry milkshake which is all a bit random.

We're going for the Harmony test which is on 18th Nov. I had a early scan last week which was very reassuring, as I have had a couple of mcs in the past.

Have a good Monday everyone - just push on through.

PoppySeed2014 · 04/11/2013 09:13

Good morning all! Hope you're all ok - I'm suffering from lack of sleep and a 15 hour drive (yes, 15!) with a toddler yesterday. Sheesh.

I had salt and vinegar squares yesterday. And they were gooooood!

PoppySeed2014 · 04/11/2013 09:15

MTMD poor you. Definitely right to be at home!

Welcome hackney!

superlambanana · 04/11/2013 09:15

Welcome, hackneybird! Come join the sicky people Grin

Nausea is no longer just nausea Hmm I keep asking baby to be nice to me but clearly the ears haven't developed yet...

Right, am off to brave the train. Gulp.

Snowlet · 04/11/2013 11:00

Argh, feel terrible even saying this, but 8+6 today and m/s gone, did three mile run today and have energy. Feel sooooooooo much empathy for the ones feeling awful, been through it, but perhaps it is true what they say and m/s peaks at 8 weeks or so in some cases. I hope this gives hope to some of you!

Also, plum jam on toast is basically the best thing in the world

Stacks · 04/11/2013 11:06

That's it, my last pee till after scan. How am I going to make it through the next 1.5hrs without going to the loo? I already feel like I need a pee, but I only went a minute ago. Strange how your body wants to do whatever you can't do.

Emmazers · 04/11/2013 11:14

I saw a teeny heartbeat! Whoop! Thanks so much for the support you wonderful people SmileSmileSmile

Mitchell2 · 04/11/2013 11:27

Hurrah Emmazers congratulations!

Snowlet · 04/11/2013 11:30

Stacks just wait til they start pushing on your belly with that wand thing! agony.... but you forget when you see the flickering heartbeat :)

CONGRATS Emmazers excellent news.... what was the heart rate?

MarlenaGru · 04/11/2013 11:33

Great news emmazers
Good luck stacks
snowlet that is little consolation for me at te back of the bus at only 6+3 still two more weeks to peak. turns green
Wink

Snowlet · 04/11/2013 11:54

oh Marlena we all feel your pain! but it's also kinda, maybe, a little bit nice to have the reminder the little squatter is there right? :)

MarlenaGru · 04/11/2013 12:03

Totally! I just like a good moan Wink

BEEwitched · 04/11/2013 12:53

Yay, emmazers, brilliant!!!!

10 weeks and dizziness is still here - woke up Saturday night at around 2:30 feeling nauseous and sick and very very thirsty, same thing this morning at around 4am. Almost passed out in Tesco.

I don't know how I'd cope if I hadn't asked for the sick leave, the fatigue I could push through, that's just part of the whole deal, but the rest? Bah. I really feel for those of you who can't take time off, though do remember to put you and your little bean first, I had to have people tell me off before I took it seriously.

Stacks · 04/11/2013 13:36

Scan all done. First thing the sonographer said was "gosh that's a full bladder" she didn't have to tell me that!
Baby looks good, measuring 6+2 which is exactly right my my dates/ff. Got to see the heartbeat and gladly there's just the one. Though I did have a little moment wishing it might be twins :)

Emm glad your scan went well too, it's lovely hanging that little bit of reassurance. Did they tell you how far along you are?

wispaxmas · 04/11/2013 13:44

Hello everyone, happy to hear there've been some more happy heartbeats in here. I wonder if it's this common for people to have early scans, it seems loads of us have had them on this bus.

Snowlet, I'm with you on the lack of sickness, though not on the running Grin Though I've been doing 3-mile walks with the dogs most days, so I can't beat myself up too much about it.

10 weeks tomorrow, and impending double digit weeks makes me feel more pg. I'm sure booking in on friday will also make it more real.

carrie105 · 04/11/2013 13:51

Congrats Emmazers and Stacks, so great to hear about all these positive scans!

snowlet, so jealous of your run, well done! I was all geared up for a body pump class this afternoon, but I'm waiting in for a delivery that hasn't turned up, so I've missed the class. Very Angry

I have a dinner organized with a close friend tomorrow night who I don't get to see as often as I'd like due to distance. She is getting married late April next year and I am her Chief bridesmaid...
I'm feeling a bit anxious about telling her that I'll be nearly 8 months pregnant on the day! I'm sure she won't mind, but I cant help thinking that I'm going to absolutely ruin her wedding photos.
I was going to wait until after the 12 week scan in a fortnight to tell people (so far only our parents know), but I feel I owe it to my friend to come clean tomorrow night as I may not see her face to face again for a while, and I really, really don't want to tell her over the phone, especially as it will impact her Wedding.
However, my husband and I haven't even told our siblings about the pregnancy yet. Any opinions on best course of action?

BEEwitched · 04/11/2013 13:52

I'm 10 weeks this week and my tummy is starting to look a little more rounded Grin.

jaykay987 · 04/11/2013 14:13

stacks that must be so exciting! I have an early scan booked Friday. I was starting to worry as though I think I'll be 7weeks there is a possibility I'll only be 6w +2 and I was worried that would be too early to see anything.

wispa I don't think early scans are that common. we're clearly a high maintenance bunch! Grin

Carrie that's a difficult situation. I'm sure she'll be happy for you. maybe it would better to mention it face to face? It's difficult though....we've not told anyone yet...not even parents....so telling my chiropractor was very odd!

bee It seems early doesn't it? mine is so bloated but In much earlier than you. do you think yours is bump already?
